Other questionable games in NFL history
TrentEdwardsCheckDownOn4th replied to major's topic in The Stadium Wall
The NFL is SO FIXED. I've always known they "massage" the outcome if games but I never realized how bad it really was. I should have listened to my grandpa in the early 90s when he said this very same thing, instead everyone looked at him like he was mentally unstable. At the very least no one will ever again mock you for claiming the NFL is fixed. -
It Goes Back to 13 Seconds, Doesn't It?

Man... I don't agree with this narrative at all. There's no guarantee the Bills were going to beat Cincinnati, let alone the Rams and their defense. -
Well you kind of answered your own question. That was the highest rated AFCCG ever. The owners have no incentive to fix anything. A lot of people have threatened to boycot the superbowl. I know I plan on skipping for the first time in 30 years, and I'm sure there are some other bills fans that will do the same, but I can't imagine there being a serious super bowl exodus. I guess we will find out soon enough .... If viewership continues to break records don't expect any less "massaging" by the refs next year. If anything, they'll be emboldened to take it one step further, knowing fans will continue to watch regardless.

I started thinking about this a couple years ago. The NFL would love to have the bills win the super bowl in their final season at the old stadium, and then in 2026 when the bills open their new stadium have the first NFL game of the year be in Buffalo. We are even slated to play Detroit in 2026. My prediction : Week 1 Detroit @ Buffalo in a super bowl rematch.

I feel worse knowing that the NFL continues to favor the chiefs and Taylor swift over integrity. I feel like a fool having spent decades of my life dedicated to a sport which is more aligned with entertainment than actual football. I feel empty knowing a super bowl is only achievable if the refs say it is. It cheapens everything. Even if the bills won a super bowl in the future it will never be the same.

Ummm yes its Terry's fault because he won't make a change . Are you OK with running it back with McDermott and beane ? If so, how many losses in a row to the chiefs before you've had enough ? If 4 isn't enough for you what is ? 5 ? 6 ? How about 10 losses in a row to the chiefs ?

How many years left on the “run”

Let's say another decade goes by with no super bowl. Allen Has one last hurrah and decides to leave the bills for a different team who ultimately go on to win a super bowl, triumphing over Andy reid and Mahomes, of all people, sending them into retirement. How much joy would you take in this? Is it close to the same as if the bills won a super bowl? Because right now I'm having trouble envisioning this team/franchise ever winning a super bowl for our city.
