I know I'm in the minority here but I'm all for Coleman as a selection though I covet AD more. I want a big boundary receiver that can simply win contested catches and move the chains. We can still double down for a good deep threat prospect with potential to grow in the offense and provide way more (Walker). I think we are on the verge of having arguably one of the most talented pass catching groups in the league. AD/Coleman Samuel Shakir Kincaid Walker Cook Knox Allen would be able to throw all over the field with that group imo. Nobody would immediately have to be the go to guy or have a quota of catches We still have Shorter, Hamler, Isabella in the mix as well

I want Mitchell at 33 firstly but I wouldn't be upset if we swapped with WAS for picks 40&100 They have 3 3rds... Get Franklin/Coleman/Conkley at 40, a DT at 60, a Safety and Tez Walker in the 3rd... Still got ammo to move up in rd 3 or acquire another 4th... That's potentially 6 players within the next 3 rds with starter potential or fills needs and you still have 4 picks in rds 5-7 for depth and camp bodies

I despise whomever pointed out the 5th year option caveat. Not one single person on this board used that as a justification as to why a player should be picked at 28 as opposed to potentially moving back, gaining draft capital and still being able to acquire said player. Now it's the hot button rebuttal as to why a player (whether we wanted them or not) should've been chosen in the 1st.

So we still have the opportunity to get 1 of the WR's whom many prognosticated or even clamored for in rd 1... Are in great shape to add a DT or S... Recouped a 3rd rd pick... Created flexibilty to address numerous positions in one calendar day... Still can double dip at WR... Have ammo to potentially move back into rd 4... Still have the opportunity to come out of this draft with roughly 6 prospects that actually have the chance to make the team in some capacity... I'm convinced that some are/were more interested in seeing who KC would take just to downplay the Bills decisions either way. The rest of the complaint committee is just in their feelings because the specific player they wanted wasn't viewed the same by the team.

If we don't make a move for one of the top 3/4 I just want a duo of very good prospects added to the WR corp in general. We have a lot of options even if we stand pat or move back. We could end up with a Mitchell/Legette/Conkley & Walker combo and I'd be perfectly fine. We will still have future drafts and FA to add more weapons as well, but I want the precedent to be set THIS draft as far as putting effort into maximizing the weapons for Josh in his prime.

It could be a preference thing but the quad game channels made Redzone basically expendable to me. Especially if you happen to get a nice mix with at least 3 games you're interested in on one channel. You could save a nice amount if you can do without RZ

This looks as though you don't have auto renewal. If they were gonna charge you it would show that you already have ST with a $0 balance from the previous season and the upcoming renewal date instead of ADD Did you pay the full price last year or in installments? I think if you pay in installments the caveat is that you auto renew unless canceled

I actually thought this would receive more positive reaction. I will always be appreciative of Diggs contribution to our turnaround and helping Josh assert himself as a top 2 qb. I enjoyed the run. I absolutely believe that there is a plan in place. Trade up is very likely or assuredly double dipping in whats projected as one of the most talented WR drafts. I don't think it will be a cataclysmic drop-off. We're getting younger during Josh's prime and it will help sustain it for the foreseeable future.

Beane Discusses Draft Strategy w/ Pat McAfee
Bills aPHILLYate replied to Donuts and Doritos's topic in The Stadium Wall
Fair enough. I was just trying to think of guys who were in the WR matrix of criteria; in which they aren't a 1, could be a 2 but not necessarily capped at a 3 or even a slot -
Beane Discusses Draft Strategy w/ Pat McAfee

Tell me about it. I remember how I felt as soon as he had that 3 or 4 year run with the Rams. He turned out to be everything I was hoping for in Buffalo -
Beane Discusses Draft Strategy w/ Pat McAfee

My comparison for Shakir is basically Robert Woods with a headstart on the QB play caveat. Not a definitive #1 or boundary WR... Can lineup in numerous spots... Has potential to consistently surpass 800yds (even cracking 1000 a couple times) on this team... Potential to be an outstanding & effective complementary WR especially if he sees about 60+ targets... I'm very high on him and hope he's a part of the WR core for the foreseeable future I guess had I just scrolled down 2 more posts I could've saved myself the trouble... I completely agree with this take -
I'm never gonna be upset with a commitment to retaining drafted players that show some promise We've boasted a top 5 defense for at minimum 5yrs (if not longer) with many varying circumstances Keep as many players that can keep you in that realm; and also affords you the opportunity to focus on the offense in an offense driven league Get a DT & S in FA and the draft, fill out some defensive depth with later rd picks and use the premiums on the offense for at least the next 2-3 yrs I think Beane is handling this offseason with precision and I like the direction

Dion Dawkins cryptic tweet UPDATE: EXTENDED PER SCHEFTY
Bills aPHILLYate replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
Fair. I honestly only clicked the link because of the update. My feelings towards the situation are/were basically it would've been stupid to get rid of him for whatever reason some fans could come up with. I also fall into the category of those who don't invest much time into dissecting social media banter. I get Jason Peters flashbacks when the thought of not keeping pro bowl caliber talent at LT is the subject. Apologies as my response wasn't given with the proper context or understanding of your logic. -
Dion Dawkins cryptic tweet UPDATE: EXTENDED PER SCHEFTY

I would imagine any worthwhile DE attacking from Josh's blindside; since we let a 3x Pro Bowl LT (who is responsible for protecting our most valuable player ever during his tenure) go for whatever reason -
The much much much too early 2024 expectations thread.
Bills aPHILLYate replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
Even at this particular stage of the off season, my outlook is extremely positive. I'm excited about: Milano + Bernard elevating each others games and being an elite LB duo Kincaid + Shakir stepping into more prominent roles in addition to whichever WR prospect(s) we add to the group Diggs being healthy Cook unquestionably being the guy (hopefully no more extended trips to the doghouse and much improved catching) and having a consistent rush attack to account for The overall infusion of youth to the team I hope we utilize playaction a lot more because I think that aspect is what actually pushes our offense to borderline unstoppable status However, as long as we have Josh at QB I will be of the mindset that we are contenders. -
At minimum a bridge safety who fills an immediate need. At max he becomes the next Poyer/Hyde for 6 years. This was a prep for the future signing from day one. Hopefully he gets paired with a nice counterpart whether through FA or draft and takes advantage of the opportunity. I think he could be productive in our defense. I like it

I think that would be the automatic spite move. You walk right into Adams as a #1 and you can hold off on the qb search for a couple years. I think Payton as HC hindered them more than anything But I think ATL would be crazy not to make an offer and I think they'll be the top suitor
-
I don't see how he doesn't end up in either Atl, Pitt, LV, NYG
-
With the way I tried to type "exclusively" and how that turned out, you would think I had quite a few of them
-
Nor did I until I actually got an invite to attend. So now I'm wondering if I was being scouted and just blew my chance 😂 I'm sure there are fans there. I received an email to register to attend. Prior to that I honestly thought it was ezclusivelt a coaches and scouts event
-
I agree. Rice worked out pretty well for them. It won't deter them from going after a guy they want but I don't think they are focused on taking a specific guy because we want them. They're gonna attempt to improve the position regardless of moving up or not. The class is that deep at WR. I just hope we come away with 2 of them
-
I've been wondering how folk would feel about a combo of Mitchell/Legette and then doubling down with Walker later on. I personally would love it. I think Walker would be a steal and that would potentially be a nice WR core going forward.

Kansas City at Buffalo in the Divisional Round!
Bills aPHILLYate replied to chongli's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm looking forward to this game as it will be the ultimate public retribution. We have 1 of 2 qbs who I believe neutralizes the Mahomes factor and can go toe to toe with anybody. I love the Bills in this position because it's not forced with all the media hype and all the success this season stems from straight up grit and determination. Hoping we can get a boost from some health on the defensive side of things but aside from that, I believe we are a legit contender. Bills 31 Chiefs 24
