This is why Beane MUST hit better on the damn draft. Once they get here, most stay. But I agree that with the Everyone eats, There is no way a top-end WR (with their diva egos) will sign here. And right or wrong, you have to think how things ended with Diggs, it didn't sit well with many WR hopefuls.

One thing to keep in mind is that NFL owners must put the guaranteed money of contracts into an Escrow account. It's called the funding rule, I believe. That means between the guys we have extended and Allen's new Contract, Terry has had to pony up 361.2 Million so far this offseason. So we might not be going after higher end FA's

I don't trust Beane with DL or WR; I just don't. He needs to step aside and listen to his scouts. We need ma ore aggressive and bigger DL and a faster WR. With him picking 30th, I would rather trade it for a veteran.

Yes. Its always about the money. I like what Shaw said, sure deep down at their core they WANT to win, but like Garrett, was he going to turn down that money to hold out? No. Odds are he will never sniff a SuperBowl, so he will be content with racking up stats for a HOF career and be extremely well off.

FWIW, Sport Trac has us at 6.6 UNDER the cap right now. But they don't have Josh's breakdown.
