  1. I love how this offense has been able to respond to challenges this season. They play with such confidence that they can always mount a drive. IT feels so... weird... but in a good way!
  2. Don't give away any points in the third quarter. Makes perfect sense.
  3. Thanks, I couldn't resist the opportunity to channel Mike Schopp....
  4. OK... now sing it with me, to the tune of "Speed Racer" Go, Puke Preston, Go Puke Preston Go Puke Preston Gooooo!
  5. Just curious, but where is the poster who argued that since Bill Polian was making this trade, McCargo was destined to be an All-Pro?
  6. I don't, but then again I'm not looking for reasons to criticize the FO.
  7. Sorry, but you are wrong. Everett was not a "developmental, second-tier prospect." He was highly touted out of the U. That he did not work out is the product of many forces, but one of them is not FO inattention to the TE position. If you want to stay on your crusade, go ahead, but don't pretend to know what you are talking about.
  8. Come on Ramius, of course it is. Outside of one or two earnest Europeans out there, all of the Hamdan hype was an ironic campaign by people who felt that Trent was nothing but a shiny penny. That is why they invented the word "Chroise" and the like. Hence the references to the Hamdan bandwagon, of which at least one poster said in his avatar that he was "beating the crowd" by starting up. Anyone who has visited this board as much as you should know that.
  9. Of course it does... it cites the discussion here about his name on the roster... just more Internet circle-jerking, I am afraid.
  10. I wee all over the Tuck Rule every chance I get. Seriously, I am with Dean and Promo here. I refuse to believe this is anything more than a way for the zebras to protect select teams/players at key moments. So low is my opinion of NFL officiating.
  11. ...which makes it exactly as valuable as the other posts on this board floating Madden-inspired trade ideas.
  12. One can tell by his choice of screen name that Mr. Dawg likes to flex his muscles and beat his chest by pretending that he is tough. It is, alas, not uncommon among football fans. I am sure that it scares all the kids at recess.
  13. Born in '67, I remember OJ and 2003 yards in 1973, but the first real memory is from the 1974 opener. My Dad went to the game with his friend, and I tried to stay up listening to it on the radio... fell asleep with the radio on, but when I woke up my dad had draped over me the Bills pennant he bought for me at the game. For some reason when I think of that story it gets all dusty and my eyes water.... weird, huh? Go Bills!
  14. So you did. If that helps you to calm down, then by all means, go ahead. I hate seeing Trent get knocked out, too. But I realize that is part of the game. An awful and frustrating part.
  15. It was not a rational post. It was an irrationally negative post. The response highlighted the mindless negativity behind it.
  16. I repeat... corner blitzes are often uncovered... it is up to the QB to make the play. The risk is always there. Trent made a great play, got hit hard. That's all.
  17. It was a corner blitz, Labatt... there is no scheme in the world that is designed to block that.
  18. My God, Steve B, how many times are you going to mention Warner's chin... and yet still declare that the hit on Edwards was clean?!?
  19. Hamdan is the 3rd QB, which means he is semi-active. Special rules apply.
  20. Ah, I remember those well.... I could throw from goal line to goal line on Tecmo./....
  21. Yeah, especially if he picked up some flesh-eating bacteria from the field. Come on, my brother.... why the despair already?
  22. So am I. This game is starting to slip away... Come on, Bills!
  23. See, Hardy has caught two balls already. Happy thoughts....
