  1. It was a Thursday, week 2, and they came back from 19-0 down to win 23-22. It was pretty awesome. They were 2-0. Then came the strike, which killed team chemistry, they faded to 4-5, missed the playoffs, and Knox declined a contract extension. The Dark Ages returned to OP.... Ah, memories!
  2. Here is honest. Football is entertainment, part of the toy department of life. Realism should be saved for the world's real problems.
  3. This thread just proves that Gareson is a mindless loser. Posting on a fan message board to make fun of fans who can actually get out of mom's basement? Priceless.
  4. Ice never waits, man. He would melt, after all, and needs to panic in haste, then repent at redass leisure....
  5. Excellent points, and those two hires show the unpredictability of coaching hires. Both of those were high-profile, big-name hires. Rauch turned out to be a disaster—pig-headed, and determined to demolish the team and start over—and failed; Knox was a success.
  6. maned up? Did he grow a thick lustrous head of hair?
  7. I know nothing about his golf habits, and was not aware that is the barometer for one's value as an analyst and human being.... I just know that he has a highly rated show on the radio and wrote for the Daily News for years. He is by no means infallible, but his opinions are far from worthless, and he is also only one of the sports voices in Philly unhappy with Peters. As other posters have said, whatever happens with Peters, it does not excuse the Bills' failure to have a plan for their tackles this year. But this does indicate that Peters may indeed have motivational issues, and he may not have been such a great long term option either.
  8. BTW, that quilt is pretty awesome. You obviously chose your in-laws well.
  9. Indeed. For what it is worth, by the way, the Philly media are all over Peters for not being willing to play with minor injuries. Howard Eskin (well-respected local reporter and radio guy) refers to him as the "Pillsbury Doughboy," and argues that Peters has lots of talent and no desire, especially now that he has made his big bucks.
  10. Cincy you managed to combine wisdom and humor in one short post... kudos to you! Of course, it would be even worse if Isaiah's sister Iris married her longtime beau, Anquan Onit, and decided to hypenate. Then again, with a name like Pead, she should marry R. Kelly.
  11. How good can he be if he has a lower completion percentage than Craphonso Thorpe? Heh... heh.... Craphonso... heh heh heh
  12. Well played. Though we all know that the number of INTs in that equation would be infinity. Right Bill?
  13. UFC? Why should I give it a chance when even its boosters can't get the initials right?
  14. Not the point.. though since you brought it up... Moulds' fumble happened on the first play of the game; lots of time to make that up. Reed's blowup resulted in the field goal that brought them within a TD. Then came the onside kick, and the drive to the tying TD, which resulted in the Flutie turnover. One could argue that Andre's penalty was minor, since they scored anyway on that drive....
  15. Not true on the Miami game... DF threw an INT in the end zone from inside the 10 just before the half, thus turning the ball over TWICE from inside the 10 in that game. His role in the defeat was much greater than RJ's role in the Tenn loss. I can see that, and I never liked RJ. Well, except for his tasteful initials...
  16. Lori, you took the words right out of my mouth. Does Bob, whom I will give credit as being an experienced columnist and non-cretin, have any idea how cretinous such comments make him sound?
