  1. Darth, you are entitled to your opinion, but show some class. How would you feel if people kept posting mean stereotypical things about hyped up bipolar football player wannabes?
  2. Just think, if not for Ralph Wilson, there wouldn't have been the Buffalo Bills...
  3. Man, the Bills fan self-hate is all over TBD today.
  4. Maybe because it makes sense to have the man you plan to be your starting QB practice with the starters? Is that really so hard to understand?
  5. In TBD we call that "the usual seat of the pants Monday Morning QB annoying idiocy."
  6. Vince Young is a coach killer. He is a slightly more svelte Jamarcus Russell. Keep away.
  7. Sure they can. At least the change offers the chance of a hope of a spark. Which is better than nothing.
  8. Well, that is good to know... Chan sees the games too. I would say that is the end of the line for Trent.
  9. I am not sure when he would make his decision, but I will say that once Trent is pulled, he will never come back. That is probably why it will take a bit of time to make that decision.
  10. That is a perfectly sensible response. I agree that BUF is not the most attractive team (much like people said about GB back before they landed Reggie White) but I do wonder what factors go into any free agent's choices. After all, Kawika Mitchell left the SB champs to come to Buffalo, right? (Speaking of FAs who may or may not be considered "top.") What bugs me about this thread is that most of the posters in it are simply repeating the same criticisms of Ralph, of WNY, etc. etc. that they have trumpeted elsewhere, without actually discussing concrete cases. It is just another exercise in Bills fan self-abuse. And not the good kind, either.
  11. It is my understanding that PEDs play a big role in that imbalance. It is not that he is injured, but that these injuries include this kind of ruptured tendon that is suspicious. See Spoon, Brendan.
  12. Jay, I think the terminology is crucial here, and has colored so much of the discussion. It will not be an "auction" such as when someone dies intestate and the executor just dumps everything, which would mean highest bidder. What it means is that the family will likely sell, as they would sell momma's house after her death. Sullivan and others are assuming that it will have to go to the highest bidder, but that is nothing but an assumption. They will be able to choose between bids, using whatever criteria they like. Price is one, but they are not going to be compelled to sell to the highest bidder, unless they just choose to do that.
  13. As others have said, but which bears repeating, this entire thread is based on a false premise. What FAs are we discussing here? Does anyone know of one who the Bills went after but did not get? All I am hearing is a lot of people venting their pre-conceived notions about what they dislike about the team, the organization, the city, and New York politics.
  14. True enough, but that only reinforces the reporter's point that Wade is not a true head coach. Nice fella, but in way over his head(phones).
  15. But "firing" Barron or chiding Garrett are both Wade's responsibility. He is ducking it, as usual.
  16. I remember that very well. All kickers miss from time to time, what I think is funny is how Lindell once upon a time was used as this symbol for the catastrophic badness of the team. Now people realize he is actually one of the (few) good things.
  17. And to think that back in 2004-2005 there were two dozen threads saying how badly he sucked, and how Dononoe's refusal to dump him was because of his (TD's) ego.... The past provides perspective...
  18. OK, at the risk of sounding sentimental... I do not know any of you, but I just love the idea that there is a community of actual people connected through this site that enjoy these games together. I think you are all awesome, and you all deserve a winning team. Someday....
  19. I am sure he does a good job to start, makes a good impression, but when it comes time to close the deal, an agent from another company intercepts the application and returns it for a touchdown.
  20. Good post, Coach. I am with you on hoping. I guess we'll see, one way or another.
  21. You don't suppose the NFL wanted to give Sam Bradford one more shot at a win, do you?
