  1. But, perhaps to belabor the point... those two plays would make the Bills 5-4, and they would be considered a better team....
  2. It is even closer than that, viewed in one way: Hasselbeck threw a pic before the final TD, and Wilson dropped it. McCourty did not. Winning and losing can turn on such narrow points.
  3. Question: How many of you calling for the dumpoff short are the same folks who have spent the past couple of weeks complaining that when the Bills are in the red zone they do not take enough shots directly in the End Zone?
  4. Anybody notice the LB, who was not turned around, pushing on Chandler in the end zone on the play just before the INT? Think that Nigel Bradham would have gotten away with that on Gronk in the same situation?
  5. Wait till Tom B "finds" his helmet just before the half begins.
  6. I swear these games all take me back to games with the Dolphins in the Orange Bowl in 1970s.... when they weren't playing badly, there was bad luck and/or bad calls. Someone needs to break this spell.
  7. Dude's stats are better than Brady's at the half... not even counting the yards he lost on BS penalties!
  8. Nice one. One could also cite the Harbaughs, since they are also on their first HC jobs, like Andy R. Basically, one faces the same problem when picking a new HC. Either you go with someone with HC experience, who has most certainly been fired before, and hope you get Marv Levy rather than John Rauch or Dick Jauron or Chan Gailey; or you hire an up-and-coming coordinator who is looking for his first big shot, and hope you get Mike Tomlin and not Gregg Williams or Charlie Weiss; or you hire a successful college HC looking to move up and hope you get Jim Harbaugh and not Lou Holtz or Steve Spurrier.... Any way you slice it, there are no guarantees.
  9. The only one who comes immediately to mind is Mike Tomlin, who is on his first HC job.
  10. I love the contrast between the thread title and this post. You, sir, have encapsulated the very soul of all Bills fans, and I salute you!
  11. Romeo is a Dead Coach Walking. And he will be forced to backtrack from this silly position before this day is over.
  12. Exactly... beginning with The Genius Hoodie himself. Crimony, people, I know we are all upset that the Bills are looking so bad this year, but the effort to play "can you top this" with the woe is getting silly.
  13. Isn't he formally the third QB, which means he can be counted as inactive yet could get into the game if necessary, or am I confused on that? I realize that such a possibility would deprive some people of one thing to complain about, of course.
  14. Great game so far, but going for it on 4th down will haunt A and M.... alas.
  15. MNF games in Buffalo were blacked out locally in 1976 (the season opener! loss to Miami) and 1984 (mid-season loss to Miami), in my memory... Thursday night game in 1982 (fantastic comeback against the Vikings). So it can happen. Whether it does or not depends on ticket sales.
