  1. I agree John. And you would be the first actual journalist with actual knowledge to comment on this, including the authors of the original yahoo article...
  2. Announcers are programmed to decry plays that are flagged, and to defend those that are not. It is part of the NFL's general desire to avoid focusing on erratic officiating. That is what made the criticism of the replacement refs so unusual.
  3. Amen and Amen. Rotoworld has put little thought into this post, as usual. They just took "famous QB about to be cut loose" and "teams well known to need a new QB" and shook up this nauseating cocktail. The Bills need a QB of the future, not the QB of 2003.
  4. In college it is automatic first down. Which is also true of PI in the NFL even if it happens short of the marker.
  5. It can't be anybody. The answer has to be "Nobody, never, because.... The Bills suck... My life is awful, and it makes me somehow feel better to continue to repeat this about the team that I spend my free time voluntarily cheering for, as a sign of my deep psychological damage." :lol:Get with the program.
  6. Golly.. how many asterisks do you people want to add to the question? Why not just keep posting, "The Bills suck... My life is awful, and it makes me somehow feel better to continue to repeat this about the team that I spend my free time voluntarily cheering for, as a sign of my deep psychological damage"?
  7. Man, I was not impressed with EJ Manuel against Florida. Do not want.
  8. Teo is a great idea,.... but I hope you were being ironic in calling Walt Patulski a "revered" former Bill.
  9. Nice map! Funny that the LaSalle expressway was the only thing completed, and that took years and years... and goes nowhere.
  10. Yes, really. Great stats, and even with those skills the team is having a hard time winning. Kid's got a lot of talent, but even that is not a magical guarantee.
  11. Stafford and Bradford... two more examples of how hard it is to draft a Franchise QB...
  12. Oh man.... really? Maybe going to the grocery store is taking care of the child's needs? Is it that hard to imagine that people may not have enough options, and are just trying to keep things together? And that children, for all their joy and wonder, are unpredictable and sometimes create chaos? (Please note, I'm not talking about fancy restaurants here, but grocery stores.) Maybe it looks different from your Olympian heights of superiority. Wait till the rock rolls back down, and look again.
  13. Yeah, people should probably delegate the child care to the other spouse, the one who is also working... or maybe to the nanny that they can't afford. It's just plain common sense.
  14. Excellent point, coach. If Nelson were healthy, things would be very different... the INT in the Pats game was pretty much the same play that went to Nelson for a TD against the Raiders last year.
  15. One may have low expectations but high hopes. Indeed, it is best to go through life that way.
  16. Ever since the 1975 MNF game with the Giants there has been the reputation that Bills fans are especially bad with night games. People have that much more time to get stinking blotto before kickoff. Nothing that has happened in the past 37 years has altered that basic fact. It is a shame.
  17. A somewhat different question for the strategists on this board. Why did Belichek risk the FG attempt late in the game? Why not go for it on 4th down? If they score, the game is over, if they get stopped, the Bills are 90 yards from the end zone. Granted, a FG would tie the game, and I get that, but a FG could be blocked, bad snap, etc.... and a KO can be returned. Any thoughts out there?
