Ok. That is one of the reasons the team took a step back. But 2021 was less successful than 2020. Simple indisputable fact. Not sure why this troubles people to accept.

This year they are three games better. That is an undeniable, measurable step forward. But I imagine you would deny its significance because, you know, realism and all that.

We play in Miami when weather here is still pleasant and the last 6 games are all against north eastern teams where the elements could play a factor.

Actually the whole season was played vs. teams in cold weather markets (except Miami & LA).

Bills fans should savour back to back weeks @ Ford Field.

Anyone else have a schedule as bad as Buffalo's?

BTW Bass would be unstoppable kicking indoors.

For most of the 1970s into the 1980s, the Dolphins came up to Buffalo early in the year when the weather was nice, and the Bills would travel to Miami in December. You can look it up. At the time, people began to complain this was unfair to the Bills because they always had to deal with heat in Miami and that it contributed to the Miami winning streak.

That’s really his whole game…they might eventually win because when you have tyreek and waddle even that might be enough but man he’s barely even playing quarterback

heck, their win against the Bills came down to one deep throw on third and long.

For the old timers on here I remember when the Bills lost a critical game to the Dolphins during their infamous decade long winning streak for this very same thing. I cannot recall the exact circumstance but I believe Miami was either given a crucial first down to retain possession and then ran the clock out, or the call overturned a turnover, or something like that.

1975, in the Orange Bowl, midway through the 4th Q.... Pat Toomay protesting a terrible no-fumble call on Mercury Morris... Instead of the Bills having the ball in Dolphin territory down 24-21 (having been down 21-0), the Fins get to keep the ball plus 15 yards, Bills lost focus, next play Fins run for 60 or so yards to set up clinching TD.

Yes, I do remember. I will always remember. That's the curse.

I find this thread to be hilarious because the very people ranting about an "almost" fumble would be the first people to shut down a conversation about an almost pick six in a loss as "should have, could have, would have"

Lot's of "realists" in chat rooms will proudly say they don't believe in moral victories and then turn around and start whole threads about moral defeats.... that this or that win wasn't good enough.

  6. Van Miller's pause then excited/disbelieving.... "Caught for a touchdown!" still sends me back to when I was 14 listening to it on the radio....

Ironically, Fergy's last pass of the season, on 4th down in the playoff game in Cincy after the infamous Delay of Game penalty, was down the middle to Hooks just like in the Pats game, but Hooks couldn't repeat the diving catch...

Being a Bills Fan is hard.

A friend of ours, Donald “Duck” Dunn was the bass player there. Sadly, he passed away a few years ago. Great guy, great memories of some great times with him and his wife. Amazing tales from playing with different artists over the years.

Oh wow... you knew Duck Dunn? Man was a genius. And one of his gigs was with the Blues Brothers!

In Jones defense, he probably didn’t think the safety could get there in time. That was a rookie error in judgement, but not by much, Hyde timing was sick… Hyde IMO played amazing all game he made lots of plays..

definitely an example of the difference between a rookie and a vet. Mac will have to learn.

Fans should always have faith their team will win.  That said if we had Brady back there and had lost 3 of the last 4.. I’d still expect to crush any team we faced! That said we don’t have Brady, we have a rookie who is supposedly playing threw numerous injuries and still an unknown asset for the long term.  Meanwhile the Bills have an established QB who no matter whose list is too 7 in the league with a D that is pretty good.

In all honesty the Pats are like what Big Ben said of the Steelers. “ we suck and they are great so we just need go out there and have fun.” Aka all the pressure is on the Bills..

Because we all know that Bill Belichek is all about fun. 😉

I know I will be watching on Saturday with all the fear, loathing, excitement, and nervousness of nearly five decades of Bills fandom. I don't make predictions and don't let my hopes get too high. I just want to see them win.

  10. I totally get the worry that we all share as Bills fans, a worry that is intensified by the scars of dealing with the Pats and with Bill B.

But let me ask you. If the Bills had ended the season losing 3 of 4, and dropping from #1 in the conference to #5 and a wild card, having to go on the road to a famously difficult weather location against a team that beat them soundly just a couple of weeks ago, would we be feeling confident about the Bills' chances?

    Just a bit of perspective.
