  1. Threads like this have proven to me that it is actually impossible to overestimate the willingness and ability of some Bills fans to find something to complain about. Well done, sir. Well done. I hope you use your prize money as a down payment on a lifetime supply of anti-depressants.
  2. Not at all. He had the option to leave, and could exercise it. Team always has the option to fire him.
  3. Too true, Promo. Too true. I'll just keep posting this: Reposting from another thread, but it is appropriate here: We all know that the same individuals who are saying, "Don't care about a winning season if we don't make the playoffs. Me heap big realist and only accept excellence. You homers are too easily satisfied." Wil also say, "Don't care about making playoffs if we go one and done. Me heap big realist and only accept excellence. You homers are too easily satisfied." And will probably say, "Don't care about winning one playoff game if we don't go to the Super Bowl. Me heap big realist and only accept excellence. You homers are too easily satisfied." And will probably also say, "Don't care about going to the Super Bowl if we don't win the Super Bowl. Me heap big realist and only accept excellence. You homers are too easily satisfied." And will probably also say, "Don't care about winning the Super Bowl if we miss the playoffs the following year. Me heap big realist and only accept excellence. You homers are too easily satisfied."
  4. I think that it will be hard for the Broncos to maintain even this level of success next year, but at the same time, they have no real QB successor to Peyton, so face the prospect of a rebuild. My guess is he plays one more year as they groom someone, but that depends on whether his body holds out.
  5. This would be the John Rauch strategy with OJ, 1969-1970.....
  6. The answers to all of those questions is "Yes."

Probably the one after that too.
  8. Sanchez, for all the progress he made this year, showed in the end all of his liabilities... no downfield vision, terrible throws in the clutch. He's Ryan Fitzpatrick with less gumption and a better college (football, that is) pedigree.
  9. Quite right, adding a major potential offensive weapon to a moribund offense is a bad idea. In the land of Bills fans, at least,
  10. This thread is funny. We all know that the same individuals who are saying, "Don't care about a winning season if we don't make the playoffs. Me heap big realist and only accept excellence. 11. On the TD drive, you mean? Every silver lining has a cloud....
  12. That's a good observation. They started on the 9, and ended up driving for Boobie's TD.
  13. Whether domed or not, I just hope any new stadium is in downtown Buffalo. Suburban locations have run their course, and a downtown stadium appears to fit better with Pegula's Buffalo revitalization agenda.
  14. This. Retractable roof stadiums are only open on perfect days. People need to get over that fantasy. The question is simply dome or no dome. Pittsburgh offers the best example of brand new open-air NFL stadium; Ford and Lucas offer ideas of the indoor type.
  15. I think the NFL decided it wants an NFL stadium--probably for technical and other reasons. Detroit is out of town, so the place was available.
  16. Well, take a look at the 506 map for Sunday; the game was only going to be shown in NYS and a few other markets anyway.
  17. This. And yet, all of that should have been (and indeed was) obvious to anyone who had eyes and sense when he was drafted, yet so many experts and non-experts refused to admit it then.
  18. I'm with Marangi on this. The team needs to know whether EJ can play or not, and has a chance to find out. Keeping Orton in makes no sense; the Bills are just as likely (that is, not likely) to run the table with EJ as with KO.
  19. This is sadly true. And when they play well, they will have people like Jimbo Fisher to defend them. If, however, the player falters, no matter his character, the Jimbo's of the world look for the nearest bus under which to throw said player (see Manuel, E.J.).
  20. Jameis Winston may be a wonderful young man, a credit to his community. But he is clearly very good at hiding it. I hope that FSU's program goes down in flames. The sooner, the better.
  21. Dude has talent, but basically has shown signs of coasting ever since he had his monster junior season. It is worth remembering, though, that Bruce Smith was also accused of malingering during his first and second years....
