  1. Goodness gracious. Perhaps it was a TV problem, and they had started it too soon and had to reset?
  2. Team-stealing, season-tanking, entitled whiner city.... Indeed. One should add that Irsay and Grigson (and the latter years of Polian) have been bad for a while when it came to finding and developing talent, a badness papered over by the tank that made the transition from Manning to Luck go smoothly. Because they have Luck, they will not be a bad team, but their experience shows that it's not as easy to build a winning team on both sides of the ball as so many of us would like to believe,
  3. No you cannot... though if yu slide into the plant leg it can be... that's the judgment part
  4. I had the same problem, the recording says you can listen to it on a PC, but then you get the same recoding. Thank goodness for the Sirius/XM app. That subscription keeps paying dividends.
  5. It was a second down play that got a first down. Of course you challenge.
  6. They did not share duties. Young played when Montana was hurt. That's a big difference. Eventually, it became clear that one had to go, and it was Montana, who signed with KC for the 1993 season and played two years there.
  7. Somebody needs to tell the Devil to stop hiring repetitive crusaders to be his advocate.
  8. This. He has a monster year, then came back and coasted, which should have been a major red flag.
  9. No, though he did through 3 int's in the first half of a Monday Night game against Cincy in 1991, then went on to throw 5 TDs in that game. It was awesome to behold.
  10. Wasn't Bruce Smith's deal all but complete before the draft?
  11. This. And yet, the zombie complaint refuses to die. Much like the "we never sign our good young talent, but let them walk" trope shambles on from thread to thread no matter how many times it is refuted by experience.
  12. Amen. That team has always been under-funded, and without the Evil Genius at the helm, the mojo has dissipated.
  13. Ugh, the focus on weather is for me reason #1 not to watch local news. Though in Philly they try to finesse the problem by having the weather people be gorgeous women (Sheena Parveen... sigh). It's worth noting, though, that even in a sports town like Philly the regular newscast is being continually shrunk and downgraded, and many times appears to have been pre-taped rather than part of the live broadcast. ESPN and 24/7 sports talk have killed it, I guess.
  14. It's funny, today, while "bowling" on the Xbox with my 8-year-old son, I was thinking of "Beat the Champ" and my Grandma's favorite show, "Strikes, Spares, and Misses," and then I find this. Thanks!
  15. Jesus... he hasn't been cut, but just mentioning it has led to drama. Now the rumor mill says he's staying, and we will have meddling owner drama. Well done, Tim Graham...
  16. No, there is no upside, ever. To anything. To believe otherwise is to be an unreflective Kool-Aid drinker. That's the answer you were looking for, right, Stopthepain?
  17. Yup. They didn't sign Hughes... same old Bills... never keep young talent. Except when they do, in which case there isn't money for other things. Unless there is.
  18. The Bills are cheap, and won't pay top dollar. Until they do, then they are reckless and profligate. But reckless is admirable. Except when the Bills do it. Unless they don't, then they should. I hope that is clear to all of you Kool-Aid drinkers.
  19. Jerry Hughes is facing probably the one time in his entire career when his value is at its highest. Even if the Bills offered him huge dough, why wouldn't he wait to see what the league will offer? That doesn't mean he won't end up with the Bills anyway. It's a business risk on both sides.
