Just how can you not love JA17
NY to VA to NV to TX to AZ replied to NY to VA to NV to TX to AZ's topic in The Stadium Wall
The funny thing here is that Tua’s last 40 starts dates back to his college days considering how many times, and for how long, he’s been knocked out of the season. Also, where are the rushing TD stats? Or rushing stats in general? Is there a stat to account for the talent around you? I mean having 2 of the best receivers in the game surely has to account for something as opposed to not even having 1 best receiver. Also, there is something to be said for the fact that JA17 is always in post season which may or may not account for the 40 starts. Meaning, in post season you are playing the best of the best and your stats may drop a little….where is Tagovioloa (?) in post season? Oh yeah, he’s not. Stats can be manipulated to fit your narrative. -

Wow, okay, I know now that this absolutely cannot be your real thought process and that you just trolling everyone…I gotcha now. Pretty good though. -
Today is the weirdest day on the NFL calendar

This has absolutely got to be the worst take on this that I have ever seen!!!!!! There is no advantage to any team regardless of what coast they are on. If free agency starts at 12 noon EST that just means that it starts at whatever time corresponds to 12:00 p.m. EST throughout the various time zones. When free agency starts in one place, the zone the NFL has designated as their base time zone, it starts every where. The time and zone is just a reference point for EVERYONE to begin their free agency attempts. -
So, I keep hearing this mantra from many people, they needed to do better and to a small extent I get the sentiment. I mean had we been better and not made any mistakes we wouldn’t have had to worry about the three first downs that they got in the same series not being called as such or about the Worthy non-catch, catch. But, what about how bad the Chiefs obviously played without having a single game changing call made against them. Now, if these controversial calls go against the Chiefs, you have an entirely different game…hell if one of these calls go against the Chiefs, like they should have, the game changes completely. All I’m saying is that every team “needs to do better” including the Chiefs and without these calls, the Bills are probably looking at a higher margin of victory rather than losing by very small margin. I guess I just don’t necessarily believe in the we need to do better, we did better, I believe, than the Chiefs did and refs did what they needed to do to ensure Tay Tay got to the big game.
-
Yes, and shaky calls create the nail biter games that never should be in the first place. Had that Xavier Worthy non-catch been called as such in the AFCCG, that changes a touchdown to a field goal ATTEMPT, which consequently changes the entire trajectory of the game because iirc the Bills went down and scored a touchdown the following series. The refs can create the nail biter games which they did in the AFCCG. Go figure, a team with a shaky offensive line that has been playing nail biter games all season, went and got blown out by a much better all around team and the team that had a great offensive line all season, and a couple of better weapons at the skill positions, got too many questionable calls and didn’t move on to compete. The Bills had the team better suited to rival the Eagles and their pass rush.

I do love this clip with Tom Brady and Josh
NY to VA to NV to TX to AZ replied to Returntoglory's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don’t hate Brady, I just never liked him for several reasons and the biggest reason is because he wasn’t ours and he always kicked our asses. But like it or not, he is one of the greatest, or THE greatest, QBs to play the game and seeing videos like this, makes him more human and likable and he sure seems to have taken a liking to Josh which is definitely a good thing. There are a lot of videos of them together or with banter between the two, I guess kinda talkin sh** that they know each will hear. Good stuff, always and I believe Brady is probably in some way as well. -
Why the Josh Allen hate (draft reaction)?
NY to VA to NV to TX to AZ replied to Gman10's topic in The Stadium Wall
All I can tell ya is that originally I wanted Baker Mayfield, glad we didn’t get him. But once Mayfield was taken off the board, Josh Allen was my next choice so I am not eating any crow. I hated Josh Rosen as the pick, nothing special about him and usually when the “analysts” say someone is the most NFL ready, that means they are not ready at all. Lamar I never thought was very good and I still don’t believe he is very good. I have always believed that we got the right guy for us, for the city. I’m glad we didn’t get Baker, he kinda seems like another Johnny Manziel (?), a lot of hype, but little to show for it. Quite honestly, I said at the time it was either/or. I didn’t really care which one, just one of the two Mayfield or Allen and I was chanting the opposite of what many here were when they drafted Allen, we got the right Josh. Rosen always seemed like a douche bag to me, and he is. -
The Texans need to win, and should win. I still do not believe that Lamar is as good as all of the hype they give him. However, that CJ Stroud seems phenomenal. Honestly, I fear playing the Texans more than Lamar, Josh have beaten Lamar on multiple occasions and he really is not that good. Just take a look at his requirements to resign in Baltimore. He required multiple high end receivers, and they went and got at least of them, that shows me a lack of confidence in his own abilities. Besides, I have a soft spot for the Texans anyway after living in Texas for over 15 years and everyone there being a Dallas fan, but it’s just a soft spot, not like the raging love I have for the Bills! Also, I am just sick and tired of hearing how great this Baltimore team supposedly is, it would be wonderful to see them knocked off by the Texans….at home no less.

The expert media and their excuses
NY to VA to NV to TX to AZ replied to Stroke 17's topic in The Stadium Wall
Of course you do realize that the interceptions that have happened, have been the least detrimental to the team of any quarterback in the league. In other words, teams have scored the least amount of points off of Allen’s turnovers as compared to any other starting quarterback. To put it one other way, Allen’s interceptions happen at a time or place where the other team is unable to capitalize and realize those points from the turnover. I am also aware that we tend to win more when there are less interceptions, so there is a correlation. Maybe it’s defense exhaustion, but idk, hopefully it doesn’t happen and if it does, it’s not too detrimental and we still win…GO BILLS. Either way, he is not any more prone to interceptions than any other quarterback. He just has more, but that is just a numbers thing as he also has many more touchdowns too. -

Can I get AMEN… finally someone with the real numbers, and these are the real numbers. The fact is that Allen is indeed the best quarterback in the league, warts and all, the numbers just don’t lie. While every other team/pundit whines about why their quarterback can’t do it, Allen just does it. He has never had the quality supporting cast like others, yet every year here he is in the playoffs. He just does more with a lot less, without the whining and sideline meltdowns. Meanwhile, anytime there is a lull in the great Patrick Mahomes play, it is followed by excuses for that lull….his receivers, his coaches, he is just off today, he is injured, he is without Kelce….it’s just nonstop. And it is very eerily similar for Lamar Jackson. Allen is not a turnover machine, he is a winning machine that pundits/commentators/fans refuse to recognize because of their draft day narrative. Just about every other elite quarterback is given the benefit of media excuses, yet are still mentioned as one of the greats, Mahomes, Jackson, Love, Stroud, Herbert, Stafford…and whomever else their is. These guys are all mentioned in the same breath and if they have an off game or season, they are given an excuse. The media is the hardest on Josh, but he has the best stats of all of them. I mentioned it in another thread, but there is a breakdown on YouTube for their year MVP between Allen and Lamar Jackson. The stats that are used, which is everything, put Allen far and away the MVP over Jackson. -
Sorry to say... But Diggs is done.

Um…..you know you can just scroll past any comments, kinda like I do when it doesn’t pertain to me, or I see a similar dispute, and this had nothing to do with you. Don’t like it, keep walking. Your comments are unneeded and only serve to enflame the situation. -

NY to VA to NV to TX to AZ replied to ShipUPride's topic in The Stadium Wall
Wow, you are one of those extreme type people, yes you are correct my logic is to pull him out of the game for preservation, precisely what I alluded to you got me. So by your logic then, even though he is about to get thoroughly blasted at the knees or has three different defenders ready to take him out, he should just let it happen on every down, every time he touches the ball, just to get a yard or two to make it second and six rather than second and eight. Maybe that helps you understand how ridiculous you sound. In your job, whatever it is that you do which I imagine has nothing to do with any sort of use of physical anything….try repeatedly falling out of your computer chair deliberately, knowing full well what is going to happen. Smacking your head, getting a concussion, breaking your neck, etc. then come and talk to me about constantly putting your body through something for nothing, one yard or two because some fan says you don’t work hard enough. Up 21 nothing doesn’t win any game when there is still more than half the game left. You sound really reasonable, I bet your significant other really enjoys your all or nothing conversations and arguments. Get lost, don’t waste anymore of my time, you have no logic or understanding. And your whole come on man shtick is really pretty stupid, but I guess that matches your thought processes as well. See ya, don’t waste my time. -

I do believe that was answered in my first line, the part where I talk about a Super Bowl run as opposed to one single game. Maybe that’s a question you need to ask yourself. Like it or not, if Diggs gets knocked out of the game, and/or future games, because he tried for one extra meaningless yard after the catch, that will inevitably hurt the offense and the whole entire team. So again, big picture=Super Bowl, small picture=one game (meaningless YAC). Play smart=body/team preservation. There are already enough injuries from meaningless plays or after tackle injuries. If a first down is needed or the end zone is right there, I guarantee Diggs will push his body and risk the injury. -

NY to VA to NV to TX to AZ replied to ShipUPride's topic in The Stadium Wall
Not really sure how looking at the big picture, a Super Bowl run, is smaller than looking at an individual game…that comment makes no sense whatsoever. You act like Diggs doesn’t hit anyone or doesn’t ever get hit or hasn’t gotten hit for the last eight years or so of his professional life. To compare Diggs and Shakir physically or physicality at this point in each of their respective careers is a little ridiculous. That’s like trying to compare Diggs career accomplishments to Shakir’s career accomplishments, obviously Diggs will have much better stats. It’s the same in this case as well, Diggs has been beat up for a lot longer than Shakir, is significantly older than Shakir, and Shakir is just starting his career. Everything you have said is very very small picture, and even small minded. Thinking about the future is not a “…smaller way of looking at it…” lol. And I’m not really sure how it can get smaller than one single 60 minute game. -

So…lay it all on the line, even at the expense of not participating in the rest of the game or any game that follows, really? This is a very small way to look at it. Davis is out already, but hey f*** it, let’s lose our number one receiver as well. Come on this is almost as bad as the original post, almost🙄. Also, Josh is monster of a man, he doesn’t get hit, he hits and by being the one that hits you are preserving your body because you know how you want that collision to go down. Same thing for Diggs, if he is doing the hitting, he is fine. But when one of monsters is going to clean out your legs why risk it. Dude is worker. -

Thank you!!! -
Right, but with that being said, after he answered, her response was something along the lines of that was the answer she expected from him. He is recognized by everyone as the professional, the leader, the Superman, the whatever great name or trait you want to attach to him and that is part of the reason that he is the league MVP this year, I don’t care what these chuckleheads in the media say. Interceptions, my a**, he has the lowest rate of points against off those interceptions. There is a YouTube video that breaks this down wonderfully between him and Lamar and he is heads and shoulders above Lamar in every respect/aspect. This wonderful leader gets very little respect from anyone around the league and why is that? Because it’s Buffalo, I guess. That greatness cannot come out of that crappy little area. (Heavy Sarcasm intended, for those of you that can’t get it)
-
Yeah he called them out in the post game on-field interview too. He was also asked what play meant more, his 52 yard run or Shakir’s touchdown run and, to no one’s surprise, he naturally claimed the latter was the better play….even though I firmly believe that his run run was better. But that’s who he is, he is a leader, he will give all the credit to his troops, not take it for himself. Diggs is very similar that respect. This is why they are the captains, thanks for insight, it’s good to read that.

I mean this is just a bad take on the whole Diggs thing. He is a great receiver, still, right now, at this exact moment!!! He is not, nor should he be, going anywhere. I look at this whole made up drama completely different. Diggs is a professional, 100%, the dude has been quiet the last few weeks as far as production goes and he has been has kept his mouth shut!!!! He is a professional, he does indeed want to win and as long as we are winning he doesn’t really care about his stats. Does he preserve his body, yes sometimes he does as do I and most others. Kind of like live to fight another day. My job is very physical as well and I do self preservation, but it is not nearly as physically traumatizing as being hit full speed by some of these behemoth of men. He’s not going anywhere, he is in good place, he is a hard worker, he is winner, and I don’t care what his petty little brother thinks…look what we did to Dallas and look at where Dallas sits right now, on their couch for the rest of the year. Leave the dude alone, he takes hits, he gives hits, he gets YAC when it’s there, but when it’s not, he doesn’t force it. This keeps him healthy and in the games, when other teams are losing their best, we still have ours because he is very smart and very aware and very, very needed. I don’t think he has missed a start or sat out any games, correct me if I’m wrong, since coming to Buffalo. Every other team has had their best sit at some point or even out for multiple games due to injury. Look at it logically, he is not a machine, he is like anyone of us. I think we tend to forget that sometimes. Bad take sir, just a bad take, sorry. -
Okay, so while I do like the name as I could’ve easily just been the Matt in az, we all do have problems, challenges, and stressors in life. However, like I said she is poking fun at what is expected from her as a WAG. It is very similar to asking a police officer or a judge to get you out of a ticket because you have some familial ties to them or know someone who knows them. The only reason people on this board are getting offended is simply because she has means and because she has means, she should not complain of anything, that in and of itself is ridiculous. Her “stressors” and “challenges” are not any different than anyone else’s and they are not “ miniscule” just because you compare her to someone of lesser means. If anything her stressors realistically could be much grander, relatively speaking, compared to “typical folks”. Which, also, what is considered a “typical folk”? While I do understand what you’re saying, there is really no reason that she should not be able to participate in social media fun because she is of a significant means. She is not obnoxious or arrogant, she’s having fun by doing what everyone is doing. Put the pitchforks and torches away, she’s not a bad person. Everyone is constantly looking for the next thing to be offended by, quit being so weak and creating something where there is nothing (not referring to you specifically, don’t get offended, lol). This is coming from someone who does not participate in social media and can’t stand those housewives shows that my wife constantly watches.
-
This is just stupid! She is not complaining about anything, she is making fun of what many of you on here think about these NFL WAGs. Your stereotypes and assumptions of her as an NFL wife. And to top it off, most of the comments here are actually fulfilling the narrative that she is espousing. Watching that video was somewhat amusing when you take into account that this is exactly what people assume of her. It is basically the privilege that is assumed that you receive because of your occupation, or your relationship to someone in a certain occupation, and it can realistically be done with any occupation. To me she seems pretty grounded, she seems like a real world person that is laughing at many of you who think she is something that she is not. Leave the poor gal alone, she is making fun of the assumptions, not whining about her tough life. Some of you need to lighten up and get a clue.
