  1. We forget the Miami block because he whiffed one totally on the very next play that and almost got JP killed. Lets' see ... - below average speed (for a RB) - hits the hole hard maybe 50% of the time, the other half he dances until 5 guys tackle him - NEVER threatens to break for a long run since he's not fast enough - his blitz pickup is abysmal - his attitude stinks, and he's arrogant (I am the best?!) - terrible short yardage back - below average route runner and not a threat to catch out of the backfield Yeah, he's a star! A-Train could play a much more complete game at RB than Willis for us right now.
  2. Stop foaming over stats and watch the games. There is a lotm more to the position than running (and he does that average).
  3. I'm with you, but all the stat-boys will pull out his average yards after *3* games to tell us how great he is! (it's not like we played tough defences). Watch the damn games, the guy is an average RB who does a lot of things horribly.
  4. I think A-Train will be our 3rd down back very shortly, likely this week. On another note, do any of you think that maybe Najeh Davenport could have converted those 3rd/4th downs (he was available earlier this year).
  5. Wow, I second that, this guy is the real deal. I wouldn't mind Brandon Jacobs back there either, he's just plain scary.
  6. Yes I am watching the game, it would be nice to have T.Bell or Maroney as our starting tailback.
  7. And while Willis' running ability is average (with limited speed), his blocking, blitz pickup and receiving skills are abysmal.
  8. Translation: My name is Peter and I am in love with Willis, lay off.
  9. It's called a cutback, not a dance around in a circle for 10 seconds. If you watched a bit more football you might know the difference.
  10. It is so ridiculous that Willis gets a free pass from everyone here no matter what he does. He is still the most overrated player on this team by far. He _completely_ whiffed on two pickups today, one that directly resulted in a TD. That was absolutely inexcusable. It's not like he isn't quick or agile enough to at least get a chip on the guy, he gave NO effort. The guy either doesn't care, or he goes through these brain cramps because he's plain dumb. And it's not like this is a one-time thing, he does this every damn week! And people here had the nerve to compare him to Thurman, get real! TT never let someone run that free on JK even once in his CAREER. Everyone here will go on about how he rushed for 150 yards. When he rushes for 30, it's always the offensive line's fault. When he rushes for 150, it's all Willis. There were huge holes ALL DAY LONG. Any decent Rb would break 100 in this game. What on earth did he do that was so extraordinary?? Did anyone else notice how the Jets left the cutback open all day, constantly over-pursuing because they know, like every other team, Willis does not have the speed to cut it back or even threaten to take it to the house. The guy is an average RB, you people need to wake up. A-Train would have given us the same rushing day, and a back with some breakaway speed would have taken one for a TD. This guy is a joke, and I can't wait until he leaves town (the instant he is a free agent).
  11. I liked JP in there, and the types of things he did are expected. Having said that, we win this game with KH and A-train starting at QB and RB.
  12. Willis did not have a GREAT game. How about missing multiple blitz pickups, one directly leading to a Jets TD? He ran through holes that our line created, why is it it's always the lines' fault when he can't run, and when he does it's all him? He did absolutely nothing extraordinary, particularly because he doesn't have the speed to break a long one. Teams pay no attention to the cutback vs. WM because it's non-existant with him! We could have had the same game but better blitz pickup and receiving options out of the backfield with A-Train in there.
  13. What game are you watching? Willis missing the blitz pickup is costing us the game as well.
  14. Why so he can get stuffed? He runs goaline about as well as he picks up the blitz.
  15. What results?! Give it a rest. WM still looks slow, and cost us this game with his blocking assignments. The guy has been taking what our line has been giving him. Has he done anything extraordinary, no. Will he ever break a long run? No.
  16. He doesn't need to do anything for Peter and the rest of his fan club here to tell us how great he is. Whiff again Willis.
  17. And all the Willis homers will say he whiffed because of our line, it's always our line isn't it guys?! Willis is a joke, cost us another TD.
  18. How about challenging the fumble return for a TD, he was clearly out at the 3?? And why the f#$ck are we not just running the ball on the Jets' defence? Terrible playcalling. Oh and maybe Mularky knew something we didn't not having Willis in on 3rd downs, he just whiffed another blitz pickup that cost us another TD. The guy is so inconsistent it's ridiculous.
  19. I saw this too, anyone know why Nate was not covering Chambers, anything to do with Chambers lighting NC up last year? You'd think the size factor alone would put Nate on Chambers?
  20. Funny this article says the same thing many of us have been saying ... http://www.realfootball365.com/nfl/article...ills140906.html
  21. I hope you're watching the real 'best RB in the NFL' tonight and realize how WM isn't even in the same league.
  22. Also not a top 10 back. You people with your stats are hopeless. Why don't you talk about his receiving stats or total yards? How about his yards per carry? How about taking into account how many teams employ RB by commitee and the fact that you are calculating his 'projected' stats while being the RB that got 90% of the carries (a rarity in this league)? He was average then, and average now.
  23. That is pure BS. Willis has never been a top 5 RB, in any year.
  24. Yes, look through my old posts. Where have I ever 'trashed' the Bills? I am not jumping on Willis for 1 game, or 1 play. I have maintained he is not the RB you people all cling to who dominated college ball, and I've been consistent. NCAA is not NFL, especially WM with nowhere near the same speed he once had. I've played and watched football all my life and I am as die-hard a Bills fan as you will find. But I also evaluate our players objectively, and I see WM as an average RB, who is never going to be great, let alone the 'best in the NFL'.
  25. And I would place you in that group. It's the same song and dance with Willis every time - he has no holes. Give it up people. It doesn't matter who he is running behind, he is simply not near as good as Bills fans seem to think.
