  1. It has nothing to do with homer glasses, you don't know today's game very well. I don't care for the hit either, but the NFL has fined/suspended people for far worse the past couple seasons, they've made it clear. A rule is a rule, whether we agree with it or not.
  2. It never gets old because no matter how many times we watch him play people here still seem to think JP will be this great QB (someone argued this last week). He will never be better than average and there will always be people here in denial about it. I think you might have been one of those people? Kind of similar to all the people that swore up and down Willis was a great RB and it was all his O-line! Give me a break, if you couldn't see Willis was avg to poor at the various skillsets a RB needs you don't know how to evaluate RBs. People argued up and down he would be probowl in Baltimore (where are you Peter?).
  3. No it was not, you obviously don't understand the rules. The NFL clearly says 'driving the QB into the ground' is a penalty and will result in fines. Also, continuing to drive your body weight into the QB as you hit the ground is also a penalty and not legal. You can disagree with the rule all you want, but the NFL has made those things clear and this was a perfect example of both. The only thing marginal was leading with the helmet, that one could be called either way.
  4. This is why I told you JP will never be a great QB in this league. He'll have his good plays/drives and even games, but he will never be consistent enough to be better than average. Everyone in the Bills organization figured this out long ago.
  5. I still laugh at all the people that swore he'd be a top-5 back and that we would regret trading him for years to come. It was so clear that he was a big problem in our offence, and that any rookie drafted in the first 3 rounds would outperform that overrated bum. Peter was his biggest supporter and guaranteed we would regret it, haven't seen him 'round these parts since.
  6. And my response is that I don't think you, or any of the other people that think JP could be a great QB are very good evaluating QBs. JP will never be a great QB in the NFL. He'll always have his arm but he's never going to manage a game and possess all the intangibles good QBs have, you could see that from day 1. The same reason you could see Trent had it right from his first few starts.
  7. I was with you, I liked JP -- until Trent's first game. You knew he had something JP never would, the problem was 1/2 the people (or more) were in love with JP's arm alone and couldn't see that.
  8. Amen. JP will never, ever be close to the QB that Trent is. You could see his poise after his first few starts, I can't believe how many people kept insisting on JP, it was obvious Trent was in another league based on being a rookie QB and JP having 3 years to show us something.
  9. Careful with the Willis insults, Peter will be here to tell us how the Willis trade was a huge mistake and that he would be a top-5 RB when he left Buffalo. After that first year when he had the competition with Henry, Willis as a terrible RB when you factor everything in. I can't believe the number of people here who thought he was a great football player.
  10. Not sure I understand what the heck is being said here, but Trent Edwards is already one of the most poised, confident and talented QBs in the NFL. You could see that from day 1, it just took all the JP-lovers a lot more time to realize it than it should have.
  11. If you think they looked like last season on offence you need to sit down and actually watch the game again, they were totally different in every way primarily playcalling. What game were you watching?? This team was aggressive. The offence was very good for a first game. Part of that is the fact that Trent rarely causes turnovers, he takes what's available, and showed he can go deep if it's there. A very good game and he'll only get better. Do you watch other NFL teams? If you did, you'd realize how great our offence looked in comparison to the majority of teams in this league.
  12. Can we seriously shutup about Edwards, for a 1st game in bad conditions he's been great. You people need to wake up.
  13. Not a great pass but Thurman makes that catch.
  14. Not always true. All the great pass rushers move around to get favourable matchups, they don't always line up on the right side. It's even more common if a team has an All Pro LT, the RDE will roam all over the place and at times even stay away from that side completely.
  15. I'll bet Peter will come by and let everyone know how great Willis still is and everyone else is wrong about him. The best thing we ever did was drop this waste of a roster space, he was a waste of a uniform for 90% of the time he was here.
  16. I'm wondering if Jason Peters is really as all-world as everyone makes him out to be here. Sure he's a top LT and protects better than anyone in the league, but he really wasn't the 'road-grader' on the left side for our running game that we expected. Is his 'greatness' being exaggerated here because of his holdout (and that we're all Bills fans so we over-value our players).
  17. I'm a Canadian and I like the idea of having 1 game a year in TO if it brings in money for the franchise. I know Toronto could support the Bills very well, I know every game would be a sellout, etc etc. But, I seriously hope they never move. Buffalo has such an amazing culture for Bills games, the fans are passionate blue collar fans, the city is perfect for Football, the Ralph is great, there would be a lot lost if they moved. Keep them where they belong, in Buffalo!
  18. Just because this dolt acted like an idiot doesn't mean you should generalize 'Canada'. I've been to plenty of sports in both countries and if you think Canadians are more hostile or worse in terms of drunken behaviour you need to get out more.
  19. You're wrong. Toronto absolutely cares about American football. If you had ever lived there you would know that during Sunday afternoon NFL football (or Monday night), bars are packed watching NFL football. Not to mention, the Bills are well aware of how many Canadians come to RWS to watch Bills games. The game will sellout without issue, guaranteed.
  20. Well there's obviously even less to do in Philly than video games. You're the dork that's arguing with a bunch of Bills fans on their board, do YOU have better things to do? I can't even bear to spend the time to read all your drivel here, let alone all the other nonsense you post on other bulletin boards around the league. Get a life dude.
  21. 1. I've seen Crowell play plenty, and in my opinion he can play the middle, and better than LF did last year. Your 'understanding' that Spikes is on his way out is just that, _your_ understanding, last I checked he's still on the roster. A 1st/2nd round draft pick can play LB in the NFL right away as well. 2. Youboty may be a question mark, but there are still CBs in FA, and we still have our nickel and dime backs from last season ... in our scheme they can both move up the depth chart. 3. Lots of time for a FB. Our offence doesn't really make use of one anyways, and if we do need one there are some available in FA and the draft. 4. Don't forget Fred Jackson, he can play in the NFL. I'm happier with those 3, plus our early pick in the draft then Willis anyday. 5. DT? We are better than last season just having McCargo healthy and a year of experience. And, we will draft one early.
  22. Sorry I think you're wrong there. WM was a punk, and when you factor in everything you want in a RB to classify him as good, he doesn't come anywhere close.
  23. This is an obvious reference to Willis the idiot. So much for the 'speculation' about Willis being stupid, and not knowing the playbook or assignments, if JP is saying it that says all we need to hear. Hey Peter, is this part of the conspiracy as well?
  24. Here we go, you've been saying this for years now about Willis, soon you'll run out of excuses. All of our coaches over the past couple of years are clueless as well I guess?
