You are a great example of the kind of person that belongs on the couch and nowhere near making any decisions. If you can't watch TE play (even when he plays poorly) and not realize how great of a QB he's going to be, you need help. Yes, he's made some mistakes lately but JP will _never_ be a decent QB in this league, and TE will be a great one. If you had watched football for more than 1 year you might have seen some of the other greats start their careers and see that Trent has 'it'.

Great post. 1. Agreed, and it's probably too late to fix this year. 2. Even when Trent struggles, if you can't see the difference between JP and Trent on the football field you should stop watching football because you have no clue. 4. I'd like to see more of Steve Johnson
-
Maybe if JP spent more time learning the offence rather than banging random chicks he wouldn't be such a bad QB.
-
Great point actually, 100 yard games and 1000 yard seasons are BS stats. These are the same BS stats people here pulled out when they defended Willis. If a guy gets every carry for a team and that team runs 30 times every game 100 yards or 1000 yard seasons are a joke to attain. The same people that simply look at YPC and that is the end all be all for a RB. How about when a guy gets those carries, on what down, etc, it makes a huge difference. I like Jackson but did anyone watch him try to get tough yards on the goal line last game? Marshawn would have scored in that situation. Watch the games! Marshawn is a great RB.
-
And I disagree. You also said Willis McGahee would be a probowl RB anywhere but Buffalo, and I told you you were wrong then too. JP will never be better than an average QB, likely a career clipboard holder.

Who are you, JP's girlfriend?

He had a good game but Marshawn punches in the TD on the first drive where Jackson couldn't.

Trent had a bad day because people like Peters can't block, and (not naming any names), but we were dropping passes all over the place and turning the ball over. Fix those mistakes and all you guys are going to say he had a great game. -
Marshawn better be hurt, because otherwise that's idiotic. It's an easy TD if ML is running.
-
Hey STupid, do you really think Jackson's YPC would stay there if he carried the load and had to run for the tough yards like Marshawn does on obvious running downs? Get a grip.
-
Marshawn has been outstanding giving top effort all the time, watch the games instead of just reading boxscores. If Jackson carried the load like Marshawn his YPC would go down as well. You're a great exaple of someone that doesn't watch/evaluate players by watching the games, 3.7 ypc isn't good enough for a 1st round pick?! What are you smoking making comparisons like that??

Let Us Stop and Take This in for a Moment

1) He doesn't have to win a playoff game to be our guy, look around the league. 2) He has to laugh at the other QB before he is our guy? 3) Do you even watch the games? Wake up dude, he's hit Lee in stride more than once. -
Whitner disses JP in a roundabout way...

And is this because you're defensive about JP? -

Watch the game again. Those little (dumb) mistakes JP makes, those long drives that are missing with JP can have a much larger impact on the game than you think. He cannot manage a football game and Donte is simply saying they know that, and have no confidence when he's in there. -

Yes, all of my posts were deleted for saying the same things as well ... many times. The so-called experts don't like being called out or proven wrong on things they just can't see past their love for JP. The guy will never be better than an average QB (remember when the same people said Willis would make Probowl after leaving the Bills, that Rob Johnson was better than Flutie, that JP gave us a better chance than Trent, etc) -
True. And we STILL have people here that swear the Arizona game would have been exactly the same with Trent at QB which is absolute BS. The little things that keep our D on the field, change momentum, cause turnovers, etc are what turns a game around completely. JP is the worst at this.
-
Yes, you're right. The so-called 'experts' around here don't eat crow, they'll disappear, or just flame you for pointing this out. Quite a few of these experts swore Willis was a top-5 back and defended him until the end (where are you now Peter), swore Trent was a wasted pick since we had JP, swore Rob Johnson was better than Doug Flutie, etc.

A Few Thoughts About The Game.....

If people did this more often and stopped looking at meaningless stats they would have realized Willis was a bum long before he was traded, that Trent was/is 10X the QB that JP is, and that Marshawn has been superb this season (forget his YPC people). -
JP doesn't know how to manage a football game. EVeryone sees how far he throws the ball and gets enamored with a 70 yard TD pass but the fact remains JP turns over the ball, gets sacked, and makes poor decisions at the wrong times. This was blatantly obvious the first game TE played.
-
Thank you, that is exactly what happened. He drove his entire weight into Trent's chest as he landed, it was absolutely intentional and the league has made it clear this is not legal in today's NFL. Why a few knuckleheads at TBD can''t see/understand this I have no idea.
-
I hope so too, but he hasn't been impressive this year. It was sad watching Mike Gandy manhandle Schobel while Peters got beat multiple times ...

One last time, READ THE RULES. How difficult is that for you? I don't care what you think it was, read the rules, you don't write the rulebook.
-
You can call it dumb but what you and Alphafrog don't realize is it's about what the RULE is, not what you think it should be. If you read the rules it clearly wasn't a legal hit.
-
Legal in all sense of the rules and we should take the homer glasses off? Perhaps you should learn the rules before spouting your mouth off. It's not about what you or anyone else THINKS the rule should be, it's about what the rule IS, and has been for the past couple of years. ... The NFL said in an e-mail to ESPN.com that Wilson violated Rule 12, Section 2, Article 12 (2) of the NFL Official Playing Rules, which states "a defensive player must not unnecessarily or violently throw [a player] down and land on top of him with all or most of the defender's weight. Instead, the defensive player must strive to wrap up or cradle the passer with the defensive player's arms." The NFL pointed out to Wilson in its official letter to him that he had been fined twice in 2007, once for a late hit and again for a horse collar tackle. The league notified Wilson that future infractions could lead to increased disciplinary action.
