  1. probably closer to reality is shakir has a lot of catches as do knox and kincaid and then davis and cook get a ton of balls thrown to them. I have said it all offseason and still believe it to be true they are laying the ground floor this year of a different approach, a more physical one and it is going to pay off in the long run. When this season is over if they feel they have a glaring need for a superstar wr maybe they go out and make a deal for 1 or find one in the draft via trade up. I have liked what they have done and hope samuels gets healthy fast.
  2. fun to see this thread went from a discussion of possible players who could come in and help with cuts coming in a week to the same people complaining about the same thing for the millionth time. anyways I believe Darrius slayton is a perfect fit here and I bet the giants would move him for a 4, Buffalo has two and they could send NY the Chicago four they own. They will still have I believe 7 picks after they get the two comp picks they are predicted to attain. The only issue with slayton is he is on the last year of his deal and wants a new one. He won't command a lot of money and if he fits in well as the season goes they can extend him. With a guy like slayton to go with coleman, shakir and samuels next year they could be in the market for one big name wr or another drafted wr and have a nice wr corp next year at this time. The giants have to want to trade him however and I think they didn't in the offseason before the draft because they were not sure how it was going to go and then didn't trade him after taking nabers because robinson is always hurt and they probably wanted to get through camp and make sure they had their starting three. I imagine next week the Giants might change their mind and look to move him. If the Giants season goes south early again I imagine slayton is not going to be happy there.
  3. I can't wait. Watching them build a real running game and having high end tight ends is what I have been waiting for. You win playing physical football late in the year. IMO, they are on the right track. They just need to improve the defensive line over the next offseason and this can be a really talented physical football team.
  4. This is because of injury though. They lost claypool and now samuels and mvs are hurt and may miss the start of the season. its not because of poor performance. For all we know they could have moved up for nabers and he could be week to week or kept diggs and he would be week to week causing them to have to look for players still.
  5. what is interesting me is what is so different between Andressen and Ulofoshio? They seem very similar, same size, same age. One was drafted and one was not but actually on the field is ulofoshio better?
  6. The Cowboys need a number 1 back, the Bills need a upper level wr. Cook and next years vikings 2 for Lamb. Then you have to give lamb like a 5 year 34 million a year deal with like 120 mil guaranteed. so obviously its never happening! The cowboys would not trade Lamb in any scenario.
  7. Darius slayton. The giants did not negotiate an extension or new contract with him and he wants to be traded. He is perfect for an outside guy here. Buffalo could offer Chicago's 4th rounder they have and then maybe work on an extension of some kind if he fits in. That or the scrap heap guys like terrace marshall jr in carolina who was with Brady at LSU and Carolina
  8. unbelievable. I would be on the phone with the giants for Darius slayton or even terrace marshall jr in carolina since he might get cut. They need to get someone in the building to get prepared to play the cardinals
  9. they have to win the afc championship, that will make them contenders in the super bowl, 50 50 chance
  10. Davies!!
  11. it is kind of a unique situation though. Our third string qb was injured in preseason game 1 and a guy was brought in off the street with two days of practice which he didn't get many snaps and was forced to play a half because the 2nd string qb was injured. Sitting other guys on offense has its effect also.
  12. The issue with the practice squad is players have to agree to it. I just wonder if Gore will look at the 3 backs (maybe 4) ahead of him and think there is more opportunity elsewhere and not want to sign onto the bills practice squad
  13. Absolutely not. Lance has no contract after this year and he has a bunch of issues.
  14. Josh Allen has thrown three passes.
  15. Bad example there. Andy Reid is from the west coast tree and specifically grew up within Ron Wolfe's Green Bay philosophy of taking quarterbacks in the draft every year and developing them. Reid has not done quite that but he always has capable backup qb's and because he is such an excellent quarterbacks coach and offensive mind he knows exactly how to get these backups to succeed. Right now he has Carson Wentz and think what you want but in the same/similar system in philly with Doug Pederson in 2017 he was the leading candidate to be mvp until his injury. Ironically his backup won the superbowl. in 2006 Mcnabb tore an acl and the eagles looked like they were in trouble but Jeff Garcia played great and they won the division and a playoff game. Andy Reid always has capable backup quarterbacks who he then puts in the best situations.
  16. Just to throw a WR name out there who maybe could be had for a 6th round pick or 2026 6th or 7th round conditonal pick Terrace Marshall Jr. He is in Carolina and seemingly on his way out, he has been with Joe Brady at LSU and in Carolina. He has the size they seem to be in the market for also. Just putting it out there.
  17. I am pretty sure they are just trying to get through camp with enough bodies to take reps and play these last two preseason games. If MVS is going to miss the start of the season or longer I am pretty certain they will make a move of some kind to get a legitimate wr in who can play. To be clear I am not saying they are trading for Adams or lamb, just that they will probably move a late draft pick for a guy who might not make a roster somewhere and this allows the Bills to not have to fight in the waiver claim line. me personally, If I am Bean I am on the phone every day with Schoen and bugging him about Slayton.
  18. Very reasonable roster. I think a trade/waiver claim is in the future for this team at WR and Safety though. Ulofoshio is going to be interesting. He and Andressen are the same size, age...seemingly similar players with Ulofoshio having more pedigree.
  19. Coleman was wide open on the interception. Had potential for a huge play. watched some of seattle this morning and Sam Howell looks like an excellent backup.
  20. On the play where Trubisky threw the inerception Coleman was wide open down the sideline, looked like cover two, mabye four but he was right in between in the sweet spot of the corner and the safety. if he gets thrown the ball there he probably just has to beat the safety and he scores. Unfortunately he wasn't thrown the ball. When the all 22 is available I will grab the play and post it. Hey Cool. If you don't like me that is perfectly fine. It's noted and I will go about my day.
  21. Sorry I disagree. You might want to show where the safety is on that play. if you want to see how to throw a tight window slant and protect your WR. Go watch CJ Stroud throw that slant to Diggs yesterday, right between the numbers where only he can catch it and he can protect himself. This idea that slants, particularly on the goal line are good throws when they are high and away and leading the wr into a safety is baffling to me. So if you hate coleman and the pick or you think it's a rookie thing or even worse the if you can get your hands on it you should catch it nonsense, then great. We all see the the game a little different. Coleman ran a good route, was wide open and was expecting the ball in rhythm to be right on him and instead it was a knuckleball that was high and away and a classic medicine ball leading him right into contact.
  22. this might be true but not sure what it has to do with what I said. The fastest man in the universe wasn't catching that ball last night. Coleman was wide open. A good ball and he scores there and people today are talking about the good route he ran to get inside the defender and make himself look like a huge target, he was wide open. If Allen is playing I believe Coleman has a TD in the back of the endzone last week and has an easy pitch and catch on that slant last night for a TD. I stand by exactly what I said. It was a bad throw and a huge miss to a wide open wr who won his slant route. There is nothing and no one that will change my mind it was a bad throw. If you think that was a good throw then fine we see NFL football much differently.
  23. No, I can see for myself. Not a fan of group think.
  24. everything about the throw was bad. it was high and it was away. The two critical points of throwing a slant, never be high and never lead your wr into danger. That throw was a classic medicine ball. It should have been right on him between the numbers where he can get his hands on it and protect himself or down low where only he can catch it. You never throw a slant high, and you 100% do not throw it where the WR has to completely extend his arms and put him in danger. I am going to keep repeating this today, Bill Walsh's rule, SIX INCHES in front of the numbers.
  25. Ok. I will go with Bill Walsh on this one. Thanks though.
