umm miami just made a meme that is never going away. lineman tackling and injuring his own running back is a new one.

what was the reason robbie anderson changed his name to robbie chosen....anyone know?

Dallas won the toss and is taking the ball in miami....the opposite of what they did in buffalo

I'm really happy for Detroit. I love the way they play offense and I am a fan of Dan Campbell. plus my hope for an all rust belt superbowl is still alive.

and now the rain stopped in miami

I've thought all year 10-7 would win the AFC East. it still might!

Why is it so hard for fans to admit reality?

I don't mean to be mean but. If you think the Bills were lucky...then you do not watch enough football...if you do watch a lot of football you are not understanding it enough. Look around the league. Pittsburgh killed the bengals, Atlanta beat the colts, The titans have played seattle down to the wire, The panthers are tied in the 4th with GB. I suspect New England is going to play a really tough game against Denver tonight and same with the giants vs the eagles tomorrow. The Bills defense had 6 sacks, all at critical times and forced the chargers to kick field goals. Allen was 15/21 and accounted for 3 td's. The running game did exactly what it had to do to allow that final drive to keep the clock moving and kick the field goal to take the lead. Were they lucky? I dont know maybe...however it looked like most nfl games look in 2023. There are no great teams in the league this year. Its a week to week league and everything is about matchups and location. Almost everything you posted comes from your critical misunderstanding of the game and league you are watching. -
apparently it is pouring in Miami at the moment

he had no chance to throw the ball away...that was a recipe for grounding or a fumble if he tried to throw it away...he made sure to not be in the endzone and allowed the team to live to another play...the defense came through. the underthrow is because he was forced out of the pocket and off his spot. If he had a clean pocket that is a td.

Throw in an athletic qb you have no film on and it was a tough task once they got behind.

They went with athletes. They wanted guys on the field who could chase the ball from behind.

I think it was fine. The chargers are bigger up font than dallas and they were getting pressure and causing allen to move off his spot repeatedly. He still managed to make that great throw to shakir on the third down with three guys after him. throwing the ball 20 to 25 times a game is the perfect mix. Had he had time to setup he would have had diggs for a td and he would have had one of those big number days. They don't matter anymore. The QB's job as John Elway always said was to make plays on 3rd down and in the redzone. Josh continually does that. The formula is perfect right now. We just need Diggs to hit a few big plays.

they quit playing last week in the first quarter. They literally didn't care. this week was totally different. These interim coaches who have athletic qb's create all kinds of problems.

plus they were lucky to recover cook's first fumble.

watch a lot of football and you will understand what I am saying. The league is about winning close games and doing it in a fashion that is repeatable...not a miracle play, but methodical play and playing with poise at the critical moments. SF lost to Cle with a backup qb, miami lost at home to will levis, dallas lost to josh dobbs, eagles lost to the jets....etc.etc.etc.. this is a week to week league. The trick is winning close games and being able to play with poise when you are under the most pressure.

everybody makes mistakes...there are no all time great teams this year. Its a week to week league this year more than ever and no matter what happens during the game you keep playing and play your best in that final 5 minutes. that is the name of the game.

This is now two really tough road games they had to win. They needed a drive to score and a stop on Defense... first in KC and now in LA...they pulled it off and are learning how to handle this scenario better than ever. overcoming mistakes and penalties and not giving an inch on defense. I have so much respect for this defense tonight, that stop after the interception then the stop after the fumble....great stuff.
-
go read the thread when he got his extentsion...most of the people here were mad because they thought he sucks....same people didn't even know what position he played technically though so I guess I should not have been surprised
-
That Ed Oliver sack.. what a play..everyone here hates him as much as they do allen and he just keeps making plays.
-
Give Ed oliver the biggest damn game ball ever
-
cook fumbled twice tonight....will they stay with him?
-
That holding on morse was so iffy. first down to 2nd and 27. amazing.

Feels like Buffalo needs 10 more points to win this game
-
nope. It was a perfectly designed and called play at the perfect time. Allen had to move and it made the throw harder, had he been able to sit in the pocket that is prbably a td. perfect play call.
