They gave up 14 points over essentially three quarters on the road to the leagues best offense with backups all over the defense. Those late points were not indicative of how well they played on defense last week.

The Bills were +3 in the playoffs last year. This defense gets takeaways. It's their best attribute. They don't give up big passing plays and they get Takeaways.

Just as a note but if Buffalo is the 2 and they play Denver or Indy the game is going to look a lot like this. In fact I really fear the colts because they have the parts to run 50 times and throw 15 times in a bad weather game. They would have a huge size advantage 0n the buffalo defense.

The pats didn't gift them anything. Those were takeaways. Cam lewis made a great play and they punched out and forced two fumbles recovering one. There were no gifts.

It's not an X's and O's issue. It's the jimmy and the joe's. They need to turn over every leaf this offseason to be more physical up front on defense next year.

I think honestly they are just average up front on defense and when the other team is in 12 Personnel with a mobile cornerback and you stay in nickel defense, it' a tough ask. The bills are built to stop the pass and they just played their third straight game against teams that went and played big in the run game. in the end they got two takeaways and won the game when new england had to pass. Not much different than the cardinals, dolphins, titans home games.

Giving up on a 12-3 team after a win before the playoffs even have started is one of the most incredible things I have seen from a fan. The Bar is so high for the Bills and allen that when they play close nfl games and win their own fans give up on them. Amazing.
