Yes but it's a little different situation with the cost of the qb and wr there this time around. Plus I think having hung onto lewis for so long and accomplishing nothing might be what motivates them to change. Again though, they are cheap and do not want to pay guys to coach in other spots when they fire them and they do not want to pay top dollar to a new head coach. Ben Johnson could step right in there it would seem though. No idea how he will be as a head coach though nor does anyone else I guess.

seems the hard knocks guys this year are all going to get canned. Have to wonder if zach taylor is next after the hard knocks afc north show starts this week. if the bengals finish like 6-11 it has to be on the table. They don't like to spend money in cincy though so I am not sure how many years are left on his deal.

I actually did forget until I just read this so thanks!

Caleb Williams has Dak Prescott level awareness. That is a bad sign if you are a bears fan. There is zero reason an nfl quarterback should not understand that situation. there are going to be some mad dudes in that locker room.

The giants should hit rush a bunch today and i think Dallas might get like 6 sacks on Locke. Will be interesting to see how the giants offense plays with Locke today though. both teams would like to play well but lose in the end for draft position. The best case scenario for the giants is to lose on a game winning field goal like 31-30 or something. They are in play for the number 1 pick.

Yea I don’t know man this is a pretty great team. the nfc has a long history however of teams having amazing regular seasons and then getting beat in the playoffs. The two that come to mind are the 07 cowboys (they were 12-1 at one point) and the 2011 packers who finished 15-1. Detroit looks pretty damn good though

Ravens vs Chargers MNF game thread (no Bills talk please)
MikePJ76 replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
You just missed out on seeing maybe the nfls greatest athlete ever Bo Jackson. Had he not been injured I can only imagine what he would have done with like a 12 year NFL career. My friends and I always used to joke about how there is an alternate universe where Bo Jackson and John Elway (both drafted By the New York Yankees) could have been a part of the mid to late 80's Yankees teams with Don Mattingly, Rickey Henderson, Dave Winfield, Willie Randolph etc. An outfield of Henderson Winfield Jackson Elway....Elway was drafted in the 2nd round in 81 and jackson in the 2nd round in 82. k I am 0ff topic. Anyway henry is definitely going to the hall of fame and will crack the top 10 for sure. Going to take some luck to crack the top 7 or so. -
Ravens or Chargers tonight? Consider the playoffs

not meant as a diss. Its just a statement in a conversation. Not everything is intended as the final word or some kind of definitive statement. and I just pointed out the all timers because that is who he is compared to. In the end I think he will get into the top 10 but it will be tough to see him get into the top 7. 14k yards is a lot of damn yards. -

well I took it as all time so thats on me. A bunch of them would lose a foot race for sure but I still think they were better backs. -

Now this game opens the door to the chargers slipping. They have atlanta, KC, Tampa and Denver. The colts, Dolphins and even the bengals have to be pretty happy tonight. -

reading answers that question. Smith was his size. I didn't say he out produced him, re read it I said some did. that was in response to the statement that henry is one one which in the history of this league he is not. -

well i didn't say smith out produced him I said most of those guys did, but smith was his size. If you took the 1983 washington redskins and put them in todays game with the perfect playing conditions all over th eleague and the majority of defense being light and playing a ton of nickel and dime with the rules weighted to the offense Riggins would rush for 2500 yards. I can't even imagine what Eric Dickerson would do vs today's defenses. -

The history of the league has a bunch of guys his size who imo were better especially since they played in a different and more physical era of football. Steven Jackson, John Riggins, Franco Harris, Jim Brown, Eric Dickerson, Eddie George, Oj Anderson, Larry Csonka, Antowain Smith etc. All his size and most outproduced him in a tougher league with shorter seasons and more difficult playing conditions_Environments. I honestly never think of henry among the greats at this point. If he does this for like 3 to 5 years more I will. -

its fun watching a mnf game that matters. -
Seeing that he should not have been last year it would make it more fun if they doubled down on hoping the guy they all want to be the mvp actually becomes the mvp again. I mean, these people who vote for the award would give it to Lamar over and over as long as he doesn't trip over his own shoe laces.

What happens if Baltimore loses tonight? Is it the start of playoff madness? The Ravens at 7-5 (4-5 in the conference) opens the door to some craziness since they have two more games they could lose vs Philly and Pitt!

that fairbairn miss was pretty bad. Seibert's miss topped it but two games being lost because your kicker can not do his job is tough to swallow in such a tight league.

Week 13 - 49ers at Bills Game Week Thread
MikePJ76 replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Mixon was out that day. But yea the point stands, Buffalo has played a number of good backs this year and only one did enough to beat them and that was baltimore. The dolphins, jets, seattle, arizona and the colts all have good running backs. They all had some varients of success against the bills defense (by design) and in the end had to throw the ball to win and could not do it. -
The fans and I will never understand why. I hope they give the mvp again to lamar, I simply couldn't care less about the award as a fan.

I would bet 75% of the bills current player have never even heard of Rush. Rock music was dead when these guys were in grade school. and everyone is missing what it’s that is appealing about Mr.Brightside. It’s the feel of the song and the emotions it stirs up. The lyrics have nothing to do with it. This is generally the case for most hit songs in history. if it were about lyrics then sure, throw a dart at something off bringing it all back home and let’s light our pipes and share our opinions of the quality of the written word from the master Bob Dylan.

Dallas has one playoff win this decade and have not been to a championship game since 1995 what are you talking about?

The cure for that is to get a two score lead and hold it into the second half. Make them pass the ball and play the way they don’t want to. Screen passes, passes to the backs and kittle are what scare me the most in this game. Everyone runs on Buffalo but it has only been the winning formula for one team, Baltimore. this is going to be like playing the dolphins again only this team is more talented up front and Miami is more talented at the skill positions. SF linebackers (if healthy) are a real issue. -
SF is so much better than Buffalo that with healthy teams, on two weeks rest and on neutral fields the most they have scored on KC is 22 points. Buffalo scored more on KC last year than SF did. but hey SF beat the juggernauts of Seattle and Dallas a couple of times to get to the Super Bowl so they are an amazing team. they have beat one great team in the playoffs and that was Detroit last year and if you recall the game Detroit lost it more than SF won it.
