1/18 Texans @ Chiefs divisional playoff thread
MikePJ76 replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall
Aikman and buck did not notice or comment on Metchie getting hit in the helmet on the catch. they are the worst broadcast in the league. They miss half the game. -

This is exactly it. once kc hits a couple of back breaking plays the Texans defense will lose all this confidence they are playing with. -

There goes their opening scripted 15 plays. they couldn’t get in the endzone on that drive and I bet it just gets harder the rest of the game -

I will never understand why Marcus spears is an analyst on tv. never lived up to his draft status. Only played in a few postseason games and won only 1 I believe. I just don’t get it or care about anything he says. Side note Joe buck is all in with the lipstick today, Aikman must like it. -
Is this guy a chiefs troll or ravens troll?
-
The fact that you think fight means fight like an actual fight, well I am not sure how to respond to that. Just to make your head spin, The dog barked at the tree.
-
A penalty no of course not. Bringing the fight to the ravens at the line of scrimmage. He did the exact thing to Denver last week and the jets a few weeks ago. He went right after their d lineman. Had to be separated and set the tone. They are physical up front. I don’t know maybe this is your first year watching football. This is kind of what it is all about. Playoff football is won at the line of scrimmage.
-
He brings the fight and the attitude this team needs this week. i hope he starts a fight early and mixes it up. Let the self proclaimed bullies know it’s a fight.
-
he better duck cuz that goes against the narrative the former players on tv and radio have decided on. lamar is the best and untouchable. His highs are the best and his struggles are nothing to worry about because he will correct them. Steve Smith said not only is he the best player in the league he is the standard on nfl network last week. The ravens are loud and arrogant, they should win this game in a blowout. According to them.

buffalo plus is live with their thursday show if anyone is interested.

Yep I agree. It feels like everything is lining up for exactly that. Stroud and the texans are not good enough to stand in there 40 times and throw the ball and win this game. if they don't have mixon or if he plays but is banged up and then comes out they are going to get beat by 25 points at least. KC has been sitting around waiting for this game while everyone talks about every thing in the nfl but them for a month. Even if they hit mahomes 3 or 4 times and get a takeaway or two they are going to get killed.
-
LOL. Where did this narrative start? is this one of those stupid baltimore things that they all just keep saying to each other? Like their we are so blue collar nonsense? Allen gets killed in games and just keeps firing. This is pretty funny.
-
yea the d line is all about shooting gaps. Which in reality if they actually succeed is the best way to stop henry. Hit em before he gets going but doing it against that big group in baltimore is pretty hard. I am worried about isiah likely the most as a receiver in the game. He seems like the third down guy for jackson and he is going to get great looks because of the group they have and what it takes to cover them all and stop the run.

Geez. To put this in perspective, Thunderstruck was the song they played in Phoenix back in 1990 for the Suns games. If you remember Thunder Dan Majerle. if people insist on the classic rock songs, Jimi Hendrix's "Hear My Train A Comin'" would be perfect with the train whistle and the implication of Allen being the train... it doesn't work like that though. This is about feel and emotion not lyrics.

Cowboys Set to Interview Leslie Frazier for HC role
MikePJ76 replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
yea no doubt. If you were a coach working your way up through the system and you have moved your family from city to city.....and you are still fighting to get through.....and then Jerry Jones hires Jason Witten as the Head Coach. Other coaches would be livid if that happens. Not that The Jones family cares but it really is a slap in the face to the profession that a guy like witten could even get consideration. Jerry did the same thing with Jason Garrett in 07. He was upset he let Sean Payton go and was looking for a guy he could say was his payton and it was garrett. Now he has two guys he is doing it again with, Jason Witten and Kellen Moore. Jerry wanted Witten on McCarthy's staff the first year and McCarthy said no. Jerry gave him the benefit of the doubt at the time but he won't do that going forward. Dallas is going to hire someone that Dak wants offensively and someone who will bring witten aboard. They probably hire Kellen Moore dak's buddy who apparently was so fed up with McCarthy offering his opinions on offense that he couldn't wait to get out. The kicker is Dallas has had a lot of former cowboys and nfl players on recent staffs and none are being considered. If you are one of those guys you must be shaking your head. Either way nothing is changing in Dallas anytime soon. -

Jerry Jones keeping his dumpster fire in the headlines this week when there is what appears to be an all time Playoff matchup on sunday is pretty sad. The fact that the local and national media just run to their microphones to repeat what the jones's leak to their preferred guys is pretty sad too. The media here has already made Mike McCarthy a villain and are promoting Jason Witten to be the next head coach. He has zero proffesional or college coaching experience. They love to call it a circus but the local and national media need it to be and keep it a circus. Its awesome rooting for a team that is all about football. -
Yea there is no reason to believe that is not true. I am just concerned with our viewpoint though. We are outmatched with their offense vs our defense. If we had a big run stopping line that I and everyone else knew could shut down henry then it would be different. The Bills style of defense and personnel is outmatched physically in my opinion. Usually when this happens you end up making mistakes to over come the weakness and the offense takes advantage of it. We kind of did that last week to Denver. My personal opinion on this game is that if the Bills are great in the redzone they win the game. If the Bills force field goals early in the game I think it sets them up to win late and get Baltmore out of their simple running offense and makes them have to do something in the passing game under pressure.
-
yep fair points but it looked different than most miami games when we were on offense. more importantly Baltimore has better personnel with the exception of maybe Ramsey outside.
