Washington getting to the nfc championship game I think means only two other teams have not been to an nfc championship in the last 30 ish years. Dallas and Cleveland. What are they thinking in Dallas tonight? The owner/gm refuses to draft a qb high, ran off a respected coach over pettiness and now has to look up going forward at washington and philly. Washington has kept Dallas from being the biggest circus along with the raiders I guess and now that appears to be over.

I feel for the lions fans tonight. It's going to be one of those nights where you can't sleep and then the games tomorrow are impossible to watch because of the constant reminders. Its just such a horrible feeling. Its what we sign up for as fans but man this one is going to hurt for a long time in detroit.

That could be it. Why you would run that in that situation is hard to understand. If they make it the response is they are going down swinging, if you throw a pick you look like a desperate team that is grasping at straws. Let the qb handle the game.

The history of the league is filled with terrible game changing calls. Its just that in 2025 like 100 million people are watching the games in 4k on giant tv's. then after the game every little thing is over analyzed and examined to death for 7 days before the next one. So every little mistake from the officials and players/coaches is glorified. A bad call in a playoff game in 1989 and all of us watching on our 27" or less tv's would forget about it by the time the game is over. Plus we had to be hanging out with people who also watched the game or call them on the phone to talk about it and discuss it.
