  1. that play right there is why I fear play action passes against aggressive defenses.....qb turns his back and loses sight of the rush...then its too late
  2. my mind has been on baseball all week and still is, I am hoping the bills can make this a blowout in the third quarter. The saints although bad are not as bad as some of the stuff I have seen here and on tv this week. Seems the key this week is to get the ball first and go score and get a big lead and make them give up early. I haven't paid as much attention to the saints so there maybe something i am missing but it seems scoring early a few times might make them 1 dimensional. Yankees play at 2:05 so I am hoping the bills have the game in hand by then.
  3. They haven't won a playoff game in a decade. Not exactly lucky.
  4. I hate these early games.
  5. Brokers are the worst. Starting next season its going to suck even more than it does now
  6. Kind of weird to me how a small market team known for its rabid fan base has thousands of tickets for sale every week. That is always a bummer to me. Why not just attend the games?
  7. This is like, as Parcells always told the story, Everytime the giants played the 49ers under bill walsh right before the niners first play they would declare their headsets didn’t work then the giants had to turn their head sets off and miraculously after the niners opening scripted plays were over their head sets would work again. this kind of stuff has always gone on
  8. They did that in February and have new guys. you want them fire already?
  9. Those are different things. arm talent is always used as a substitute for arm strength. the other stuff, accuracy, awareness, ability to make throws from all angles and on the move off balance etc. are all different traits. when guys drop balls in the bucket like Allen’s incompletion to Kincaid last week that is accuracy or touch, not arm talent. its a goofy term that exists for no reason except somebody used it and then everyone uses it to justifies its existence. its pretty much like David Cross’s fantastic bit on “Timemug”
  10. yea I heard on wgr that the bills have not beat the saints in buffalo since 1983. Means nothing but it is interesting.
  11. In all seriousness though Kellen Moore gave the bills defense a lot of problems two years ago when he called plays with a backup quarterback for the chargers. so the defense is going to have to get stops and maybe takeaways early and make sure it’s not a game. I would imagine if the bills won the coin toss Sunday they take the ball with the intention of going down and putting the saints behind immediately.
  12. he just gave me that vibe. I am basing it on that alone I am probably completely wrong to do that.
  13. He sat in the booth with Michael Kay and Paul O'neil for an inning during a yankees game back in may. He seemed to have an enormous ego and zero humility. That is why I think if he fails he will do it in a really bad way.
  14. The worst modern offender is "arm talent" The dumbest possible way to talk about arm strength. Arm talent. Just ridiculous.
  15. Dart comes off as one of the biggest D-Bags I have ever heard in the nfl and that is a tall mountain to climb. If he fails I imagine he fails big time.
  16. Wish what appears to be a new do for Lamar Jackson if football doesn’t work out he can be a dancer on Fame. if you are not old you will not know the fame reference sorry.
  17. Mike Sando from the Athletic's thoughts on the bills so far Buffalo Bills 41-40 over Baltimore 30-10 over New York Jets 31-21 over Miami Finding a way to beat the Ravens after trailing 40-25 in the final five minutes put even more distance between Buffalo and its mind-numbing, late-game meltdowns of yesteryear. Otherwise, pretty much business as usual for Buffalo. Having 10 days to prepare for New Orleans in Week 4 seems like overkill for the Bills after the Saints fell behind Seattle 38-3 in the first half of a 44-13 defeat Sunday. It also reflects one of the NFL’s easier remaining schedules (New England and Atlanta follow New Orleans, followed by a bye, which gives the Bills two weeks to prepare for … Carolina). Los Angeles Chargers
  18. yea for sure. Like I said if he wants to come back they can just create a title for him. Lots of times teams put these guys in the pro personnel department. Go study tape of nfl players and be ready when we need an evaluation.
  19. Currently there is really no room for him The Bills have two assistant GM's in Brian Gaine and Terrance Gray. So unless one of them gets hired by another team to be the GM I am not sure what role or purpose Schoen would serve here. having said that, Schoen and Beane are pretty tight so I imagine they just create a front office job for him if he wanted to be back.
  20. Thought this was pretty funny in the athletic this morning from giants beat writer Dan Duggan. Daboll and Schoen are both already fired but Mara has no idea what to do next. As it turns out Daboll and Schoen had a better team when they arrived and Daniel Jones and the offense played well enough to get them to the wild card. Once Daboll got settled in and Schoen made changes to the roster they have gotten progressively worse after adding all kinds of high drafted talent and expensive Free agents and trades. Barring a miracle they are both fired and they know it. The Giants have scored 15 points in their two games against real NFL defenses this season, with a 21-6 season-opening loss to the Commanders sandwiched around the Cowboys aberration. Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo employed the most basic strategy imaginable to stifle the Giants on Sunday. The Chiefs played with two deep safeties on 78.9 percent of the Giants’ snaps, which is the highest rate by any team this season, according to Next Gen Stats. The significant difference from a week ago, when the Cowboys deployed a similar approach, is that the Chiefs’ defensive backs didn’t move like they had cinder blocks attached to their feet.
  21. I really wanted to go this game. Still hoping to find some seats for the bucs game. I have not been home to experience a real fall since 2006 and I miss it. We do not have fall in North Texas.
  22. its the same thing that has been getting the giants beat for what seems like 8 years or so now, they can not block anyone up front offense. They are amazingly bad at it.
  23. not to mention that some team is going to send them the exact player they need for like a 7th round swap at the deadline. They will end up with tyreek hill for a 5 or something then also like the jets will trade them hall for some pittance. Then when the Bills play them in the post season Hill we be line up across from strong. We all know how this goes.
  24. remember a few years ago when he played vs the jets and daboll didn't let him throw a single pass for reasons no one could explain after the game? That was fun. that was the night I realized Daboll is one of these guys that will just move around in coaching forever because he doesn't really have full command of what he is doing or how to get it done. he is sort of like the coaching version of the qb jeff george who kept getting jobs even though he always stunk.
