Happens all over the league. Dallas just swapped a corner that was taken in the 2nd for a corner that was taken in the first. Detroit last year just got rid of a first round corner. sf traded away the 3rd pick in the draft for a 4. The eagles are shopping 1st rounder Derek Barnett. its just part of it. everybody misses and it is better to get rid of them if u think they cant or wont play.

if a tackle gets a minor injury and has to leave for the remainder of the game he will probably be fine. if he has to fill for 4-6 weeks or something I imagine they end up going to one of the young tackles.

Yep. that seems totally fine to me. If he was able to practice then he is going to want to play right away and then you have an issue. this took that out of the equation and he can get himself completely ready. rolling into november with a healthy and ready to go Miller who has a few games under his belt is ideal to me.

I'm confused did fans think he was going to play week 1? they basically have been saying all offseason/summer they will play cautious with him.

Chiefs didn't invent it or discover it etc.. Its all you can do when you have superstars tipping the salary cap at the top. You have to compliment that with good drafts/udfa signings that can fill out your roster. Young talented players with small numbers. otherwise you end up with declining backup veteran players with bigger cap numbers. That is the recipe for disaster.

Seems the bills whether by design, because the talent warrants it or maybe because the top heavy salary cap numbers demand it are going with some youth. Youth makes less money but brings more mistakes generally. When you have superstars like this team does you have to essentially do this and cut veteran backups and save where you can.

yea that is exactly it. Lots of long snappers, backup qbs etc who are veterans are going to get cut today to get IR guys on the 53 and then get added back wednesday.
