Yea it sounds like the eagles would have liked a reunion. They added Alexander a few weeks ago and that didn’t work out. Slay was pretty damn good in Philly. if nothing else he can give some insight into little things the eagles do on defense in a few weeks.

Did you watch them play New England and Baltimore?

It seems they really like their young linebackers and they are getting better. Their coordinator is a linebackers coach at heart. i think there redzone defense in the past few weeks has gotten better recently also.

Slay has always been a man coverage corner. In the offseason the whole change in the defense was going to be more man. Injuries have ruined that option. maybe as the team gets healthier or tries to at least and given the upcoming opponents they want the option to have an experienced corner to put out there to run some of that. what Pittsburgh’s defensive rankings are means nothing. They have first rounders all over their defense and it stinks across the board. So in essence the Steelers defense stinks as a unit and that is not the same as slay being lousy on his own merit.

The playoffs are not guaranteed, this is the time of year bosa was signed to make an impact and now of course he is hurt. he may never even play in a playoff game here if they lose the next two games.

We could see this coming for over a month. One way or another the bills are going to end up in Baltimore. if they are healthy, they have always been excellent at home in prime time games. having said that the bengals just whipped them in Baltimore in prime time so maybe they just don’t have it this year.

yea higgins was in uniform for practice I think i read yesterday. He is going through the concussion protocol like dawkins. Both will probably be limited all week and then play on sunday. Hendrickson seemingly is out for sure. I think I saw he needs a hernia surgery and is trying to hold off if the bengals can win the division.

The Division race is over. No use in stressing over it. New England has it wrapped up. They are all setup, barring major injuries to be the 1 seed and get essentially two weeks off to get ready for the divisional round. Will be interesting if they do get the 1 seed and KC sneaks in as the 7 and wins their wild card game.

IMO the Pats won the division last night. They are essentially going to have two weeks to get ready for their divisional game as I think denver and the colts lose at least once more and I am not sure the pats lose anymore than one game. in one offseason Mike Vrabel swooped in and accomplished what Buffalo has been trying to for almost a decade. They are going to end up with the MVP and the 1 seed. If they win the super bowl I may stop watching the nfl altogether. Buffalo can ruin all of it with a win over them in foxboro in the playoffs. Going to be hard to do with this lousy defense.
