Wide Receiver Train Full Speed Ahead- CHOO CHOO!

For sure. As fans we might have different opinions on what’s wrong with the team but we’re all on the same page about them reaching that ultimate goal. There’s always next year! Cheers! -

Yeah. The D did its job by holding them to a fg instead of a TD so our elite qb could have a chance to cement his legacy with a winning drive. I guess it’s hard for some people to see this. But sure poor more resources in the defense and have future playoff games end exactly the same way. Apparently 0-4 is not enough to see this yet. -

The defense made a phenomenal stop at the 3min mark to give the offense a chance to win. Then the offense that supposedly have no problem scoring couldn’t even get past midfield. You get this right? There is no defense in the world that could shut down a great offense with a great quarterback. All you can hope to do is stop them at the end with a chance for your own great offense and great quarterback to go win the game. It’s about opportunities and we had that opportunity. -

Yeah seeing how we came up 4pts short I’d say scoring was a problem. Especially that last drive when it mattered most. -

That’s true. But taking more time off the clock might have cost us 4pts as well. I guess all in all it kinda worked out to not a big deal because Allen made that amazing throw to Hollins. That was a heck of a catch as well. -

So would another minute off the clock in that situation. -
No matter what else had happened throughout the game it all boiled down to this. Offense with the ball and elite QB to win the game and we failed. Not only failed but, this game, couldn’t even get past midfield. That really is unacceptable. People keep blaming the defense but the offense is the side that hasn’t delivered when the opportunity presented itself.

Completely agree on the iffy holding calls. I’d argue it was better for us that they had 1st and goal because it left more time on the clock. That allowed Allen time to really shine in that drive before half for the TD. Just wish we could’ve done it again at the end of the game. -

It was a wasted challenge to me because of the defensive holding penalty. Even if you win that challenge they still get a first down in the red zone. -

I don’t think it’s a set number. Every game is different. The number should be ‘more than your opponent’ when your offense has the ball in the waning minutes. Basically within 1 score with the ball in the last few minutes. We’ve been in that situation the last two years against KC. We couldn’t execute successfully. Get it done in those scenarios and we wouldn’t be talking about defense. We have an elite QB. That’s what elite QBs do. -

If only there was a speedy receiver when Bills pick came up in the first round last April…oh wait. -

KC is great at situational football. If they can win a game scoring 20 then that’s what they’d do. If a game calls for 30 to win they would get 30. That’s the mark of a championship team. Yes KC scored 32. Bills needed 36 to win and had that opportunity. They couldn’t capitalize on the moment. -

That was an opportunity for Allen to put together a legendary drive to cement his legacy. Much like Elway’s ‘The Drive’ years ago in the AFCCG against the Browns. It was right there. Now the narrative will be much louder going forward about not getting over the hump. -

Your prayers were answered with about 3min left in the game. The defense held KC to a fg with that incredible sack from Phillips. That was a huge stop. The offense took over with a chance to win. They couldn’t get it done. Next time pray for Allen and the offense too. -

Kurt Warner breaks down the 4th down. Allen error?
90sBills replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
If I could’ve bet before that drive started that Allen would advance the ball past midfield I would’ve put a large chunk of money on that. There was no way I believed we couldn’t get past the 50 yd line. That was a heck of a play call by Spags. -
It doesn’t matter what the score was. Game situations and context are more important. You can’t expect the defense to shut down a great offense with an elite QB. We can only hope to contain them enough to give the offense a reasonable chance of winning. Yes the defense gave up 32. That’s a good thing at that point of the game. It wasn’t 36. We had 29. So the offense gets the ball back with 3 min left and a chance to win with a TD. Or the very least tie with a fg. This is the essence of a team game. KC’s defense do this all the time. Hold their opponents to within 1 score so Mahomes and their offense could win it in the waning minutes. And Mahomes usually comes through for them. That’s why they’re so good with close games. Our defense did that for the offense. Provided an opportunity for Allen and the offense to win. That’s all we could hope for. It just didn’t work out. So yes. Great job, defense! Especially Phillips with that clutch sack!

The season average is misleading for rookies. Worthy got better as the season progressed and had his best game in the most important game so far. That’s a better indicator. Coleman got worse. Let’s hope the kid takes a big jump next season. -

Hurts played out of his mind in the last Super Bowl matchup so he has it in him. Their two receivers are studs. The run game, of course, is amazing and should be featured. They also have the revenge factor working for them. It’s going to be a good competitive game. I’ll be taking Philly. Hopefully action comes in on KC to drive up that line. -

The Eagles will have something to say about that. They do two things well that are KC’s weaknesses. They have a remarkable running game with Saquon and they get pressure up the middle on defense. That’s Mahomes’ kryptonite. 4-peat? Man if that happens might as well dissolve the NFL. -

You’re right of course. But expectations are often not met in athletics. Happens all the time all across professional sports. -

It was brutal for Andrews as I’m sure Kincaid is devastated as well. But their two catches are not similar at all. It’s like sinking a 2-ft tap in putt vs trying to make a 10fter to win a major. Yeah pros should be able to make both but 1 is significantly easier.
