I was under the impression he was told to slide more to protect himself. He tends to invite contact and that’s what they want to cut down. Scrambling for yards and sliding should always be an option for Allen. Definitely! There are opportunities in every game to scramble for yards and he should take them. Don’t do design runs. He’s not Lamar.

Mahomes does this all the time when KC can’t get their offense going. See Jets game a couple weeks ago. This is what I want to see Allen do more. Not the designed runs where he’s going to take a beating. The impromptu scrambles when defenders are busy covering receivers. It’s such a back breaking play for the defense when the qb scrambles for 20+ yards. Allen is such a better runner than Mahomes. But he doesn’t do as effectively as Mahomes for some reason. Just don’t get it.

It looked that way on TV as well. Diggs had to slow down because the ball was under thrown. He did all he could to try and catch that ball. Yet people still say Allen threw a great pass and blamed Diggs for the int. Unbelievable. Making plays like that win close tough games. Opportunities are few in tough games so they need to be capitalized. When Allen’s bad throws get pointed out in posts like this certain fans just can’t accept it. I really don’t get it. He’s a great qb. But he makes mistakes too. It’s ok to call it out.

The next time you have any criticism of Allen will be the first time. And it would truly be an enlightened moment. Btw…I’m not blaming this loss on Allen. It’s a team loss. The offense just couldn’t get going despite a valiant effort by the shorthanded defense.

Hear that? That’s ’slim’ firing up the car to leave town. There’s enough talent on the team to overcome the injuries and manage a successful season. But Super Bowl? Highly unlikely this now.

What I find frustrating with the Bills is their inability to keep things even keeled. After focusing on a big game like Miami they follow up with a deflated effort against a team they should beat.

This is what I don’t get sometimes. I see Mahomes run for big gains against man defense when defenders are turned away like in that Jets game. Allen is a much better runner than Mahomes is but doesn’t seem to be able to exploit an obvious weakness consistently. Could’ve used that yesterday to eked out a tough win.

Bills have a great chance to win the next 3 games to improve to 6-2. Everyone will forget this feeling and the fact that this team struggles in tight games with tough opponents. Then the next tough opponent, Cincy, will bring all the negative feelings back. Just like clockwork. Book it.

Hard to be a spoiled fanbase with annual playoffs heartbreaks. Gotta close the deal at least 1 time to start feeling anything remotely spoiled. With that said man the last few weeks have been great!
