Isn’t the point of having an elite gifted qb is having him be a force multiplier for your receivers? I think that’s what most is making the argument for here. Similar to Mahomes and KC. Their highest paid receiver was MVS at $11M. When you’re paying your qb high end $ it’s hard to do that with receivers as well without neglecting the rest of your team. I see a couple of arguments of Kelce being their elite guy. That’s true but not this last year. He was very ordinary. The difference is KC’s players step up in the crucial playoffs moments and Bills players don’t.

That’s quite the narrative that poster has built for KC. I’m starting to think their roster is full of drugs traffickers and murderers. lol These are professional athletes. They’re not saints. Some will be flawed and make mistakes. As long as there are consequences for their actions it’s all good. Specifically to KC I remember the most egregious incident from players was the Kareem Hunt video. They immediately cut him loose and I’m not sure what else that poster wants them to do. Aside from that there was a dv incident with Willie Gay. They also signed Omenihu last season who had a dv incident. Both served their suspension from the commissioner. I don’t see anything over the top criminal wise from their team. So I’m curious as well to see if there’s any truth to it or it’s a case of ‘they win too much so they must employ criminals’ kind of thing.

It will get worse with each passing non championship year. If Bills don’t win one in 3 years Allen will be Phillip Rivers in the media’s narrative.

His production arc made sense. KC was spreading the snaps around in the first part of the season. It wasn’t until after the Patriots game that they shelved guys like Toney and Sky Moore while giving their snaps to Rice. It turned out to be a very good decision by their coaches. Making bad decisions is part of being young. Rice was fortunate no one got seriously hurt. Hopefully the young man can learn from his mistake and change his ways. If not he might not be so lucky next time.

Obviously what we do as fans don’t affect the games yet we still pray for our teams to win. Still cross our fingers before field goals etc. So yeah maybe not continually underestimating a team that keeps beating our team when it counts might help in some cosmic karma kind of way. But ok to each his own.

Yeah it’s a tough road if Bills have to go through both. This last year was set up so perfectly. Cincy out. KC had to play at OP. It was an opportunity lost in my view.

Well you keep underestimating them every offseason and they end up killing our season. So maybe change that and a different outcome might occur. Just saying.

KC have ended our season 3 times more than Cincy has. What good is being competitive when you keep losing? They’re the 2 times defending champs not Cincy. So they’re a huge roadblock for all AFC contenders.

KC getting hot at the right time seems to happen often. I’m of the personality that gives credit where credit is due. There’s no point in discrediting a team that has continuously knocked out our team in the playoffs. Give them credit and maybe receive positive karma in return.

Not to get sidetracked but you said similar things last offseason. You said KC would take a step back and Cincy would be our competition. My response will be the same as last offseason: KC is the defending champs until proven otherwise. They will be the Bills (and all AFC contenders) biggest challenge.

It worked for KC. When your superstar qb gets paid the largest chunk of cap space this is the way. That superstar qb has to elevate his to maximize their potential. Mahomes did it. Allen can too.

When KC traded away Hill the media went after them hard that offseason. There were pundits that picked them to not win the division and some even said missing the playoffs entirely. That was a big motivator for their team as evidenced by the players comments after winning Superbowl LVII. So far I haven’t seen the same level of disrespect towards the Bills after losing BOTH #1 and #2 receivers. But it’s still early in the offseason things can change.

This will be an interesting season for him. He has the opportunity to unequivocally say he makes the receivers not the other way around. I hope Bills don’t over reach for a big free agent like Higgins or Aiyuk. Draft a couple of receivers and let Allen elevate them. That’s what elite QBs do. He can be a force multiplier.
