  1. And a long healthy life was overrated…
  2. They’ve been together since HS. If anything wouldn’t it shows that he’s loyal and isn’t that an admirable trait? I agree with you about the ‘hate’ part. How can a person hate someone they only see play ball on TV. I get hating teams but individuals? It says more about the person doing the hating.
  3. We got our own Toney now? Beane is taking this mirroring KC’s blueprint a little too far. 😝
  4. Not every franchise qb, no matter how talented, can do what Mahomes has done. At the surface I agree with you that since Allen ‘arrived’ he should make any receivers better. That’s necessary because of how much franchise QBs make. However, four years with Diggs, a top 5 receiver most of that time, and Davis, a great 2nd option, and we couldn’t get over the top. I do think 2 top flight receivers is necessary for Allen. Hopefully Kincaid and Coleman can develop into those roles. With the cap situation investing in a premier wr in FA is probably not doable.
  5. Not even a big deal for KC if he does miss 8 games. They’re loaded and he’d be back for the playoffs anyway.
  6. When Mahomes was on his rookie contract KC signed Sammy Watkins and drafted Hardman to go along with Hill and Kelce. Then they won their first Superbowl so I think that qualifies the scenario you laid out. Then they won 2 more without big name receivers so I guess a team can do it either way.
  7. Anything is possible. But we couldn’t do it with a franchise qb and quality vets that have played together the last handful of years. To suddenly lose those guys and win with rookies replacements the first year of transition is something I wouldn’t bet on.
  8. Their D was not excellent in ‘22 due to all the rookies as mentioned. Agree about the QB, TE, and excellent coaching.
  9. People saw how KC won it all when they started a bunch of rookies in ‘22 and think that’s the norm when it’s really an anomaly. Outside of KC I can’t think of a team that can achieve that in the current NFL.
  10. I think winning the division is not unrealistic. I actually expect them to despite improvements from the other teams in their division. Going further in the playoffs than the divisional? I don’t think it will happen this year. The following year is more realistic for that expectation to me. Can’t wait to see how it unfolds.
  11. That’s a heck of a dream you had last night. Congrats.
  12. I see Mitch Trubisky and Sam Darnold.
  13. ‘I think he’s a great quarterback, one of the best in the league right now’ Red flag. He didn’t say the best.
  14. This kind of money gets you a middle of the road wr.
  15. If KC wins the Superbowl this coming season he retires. My prediction.
  16. Yet another thread defending and justifying Coleman’s 40 time. That alone acknowledges that he is slow compared to other receivers. What people don’t get is it doesn’t matter how slow he is if he can juke the defender into running the wrong way. He also has strong hands for contested catches if the defender closes in. So embrace his speed (or lack there of). Can’t wait to see him play in this offense.
  17. The short methodical game is where championships are won. I agree with you on all the reasons that’s not where Allen excels. But he has to improve in this area if the Bills are to ever win one.
  18. Like I said, for their sake, Bishop better be a better pro than Hicks.
  19. He seems like a great kid. He’s going to be a solid pro at the minimum.
  20. Well we all know DeWayne Carter is going to be a hof DT but they play different positions. Jaden Hicks and Cole Bishop are both safeties so they’re more relevant comparison. So imagine giving KC the opportunity to pick Worthy and he turns out great. Then with the next pick they got from Buffalo select a better player than Buffalo did while picking 73 spots later for the same position. You know that’s something the media would definitely lean into.
  21. But they gave KC their 4th round pick at #133 so really swapping picks not gaining an extra pick. KC used that #133 pick on Jaden Hicks. If he turns out to be a better db than Cole Bishop, whom the Bills took with pick #60, then we’ll never hear the end of this trade from the media.
  22. I completely agree with you. Those memes and sport shows hot takes are aimed directly at those fans to get a rise. It’s entertainment and I don’t mind it.
