December 15th at Detroit is the Game of the Year
90sBills replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bills are definitely SB contenders. They can beat anybody in the AFC. Whether they will in the biggest moments remains to be seen. Allen is also a lock for MVP unless something crazy happens the last 6 games. He’s earned it. -
December 15th at Detroit is the Game of the Year

Real life isn’t a video game. Human beings tend to get in their own way sometimes. What looks like a can’t lose team could shrivel up under pressure. Dan Campbell might stop them from reaching their potential. -
Wow interesting. They’ve already given up on Worthy. 😈
-
Agreed. But no one outside our fans will care about that.
-
Well…the 3 Lombardi trophies probably sway public opinion.
-
The regular season wins in ‘21 and ‘22 were even more convincing. They ultimately led to the same ending. However, I do agree that it felt different this year. To me it’s not about how convincing the win was. It’s all about Allen. He’s different this year in a good way. Much more composed during games. Making great decisions. Loved his post game comments. That is what’s giving me hopes that things might turn out differently this time.
-
Now that’s worth dunking! Haven’t we learned that these regular season wins don’t amount to much at the end of it all? I’d trade all the regular season wins against KC for just one of their wins in the playoffs against the Bills.

Bills Exposed 2023 Eagles and Now, 2024 Chiefs

Yeah no one is crying for them. They’re still a great team that the Bills beat. Not sure about exposing anything though. -
Not specifically to this thread. Just comments throughout this forum since yesterday. To be clear I think Bills have a great shot this year to do it. Much more so than how I felt last year so I’m cautiously optimistic. It’s not about celebrating the win. It’s more of pronouncements that Bills will win it this year and many years to come. Like a regular season win is some kind of litmus test. Yesterday was a great win no doubt. Bills beat one of the top AFC contenders. It’s not like that hasn’t happened before. It has literally happened the last three seasons. They have also finished with the #2 seed the last two seasons. That’s where the probability has them finishing again this year, as the #2 seed. Then we all know what happened in the playoffs. So my point was we’ve been down this road many times. It’s like playing a video game where you keep failing at a certain level. It’s hard to be super excited until you get close to that level again.

Bills Exposed 2023 Eagles and Now, 2024 Chiefs

You may be right about Watson. It does seem like their secondary has been more susceptible since he’s been out. Could be coincidence. Yeah I doubt Brown or Rice makes it back. This could be the year for a new AFC representative in the big game. 🤞 -

Losing Brown, Rice, Pacheco, and Watson has really hurt KC. Especially Watson. Their secondary is more vulnerable without him there. -
Most people were saying before the game that a win wouldn’t change much. That Bills need to do it in the postseason. Here we are 24hrs after the win and apparently Bills are now THE team and KC is a pumpkin. Why am I feeling so much deja vu and Groundhog Day vibe? Most fans should take a page from Allen’s post game interview yesterday. He knew as great of a win as it is, it’s still a week 11 regular season win. The tough work is ahead.
-
Saying a qb is the best player while another qb is the best qb is a cop out. Go for it and just say he thinks Allen is the best qb. But he didn’t want any of that heat. Maybe after the Bills win a superbowl he’d be able to muster up the courage.

Xavier Worthy: So far, not much more than a gadget guy
90sBills replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m with you. It’s not trolling. It’s more of a set up for a potential rematch. They hardly rush even though Hunt was having success. Watch for full doses of Hunt/Pacheco if they meet again in the playoffs. -
Is the “Bills window is closed” talk finally over?

Man hypothetical upon hypothetical. You’re setting yourself up for disappointment. Let’s enjoy this win. We all know the history with this team. Let’s take it easy and see how it goes. -

I’m with you. It’s pretty ridiculous that they’re still living off that win 3 seasons later. Losing to the Chargers might put an end to it. Now the media will focus on Pittsburgh. Just watch. -

This was a great win! The team and fanbase can enjoy this for a couple of weeks. We all know the true test is in the postseason. This win hasn’t changed any of that. I don’t think anyone believes they’re better than KC. It’s just that they have beaten KC in the postseason before so they’re living off that. No other team has so that’s the narrative that will continue until it changes. -
Don’t worry. She’ll be at Arrowhead if Bills get there.

Tell that to Butker.

Making their husbands happy should be high on a woman’s priority list as well.
-
I’m with you. I really don’t get how some fans can make comments like that and actually believe it. I think the Bills will get one with Allen. Just like how Indy and Pittsburgh did during NE’s reign. But to say that the Bills will rattle off multiple SB wins to start their own dynasty at this point in Allen’s 7th season? That’s a stretch.
-
If you need a poll to tell you what a legitimate NFL dynasty is then you haven’t watch football long enough or simply haven’t paid enough attention. The current dynasty in KC was not considered that until they won their third Super Bowl last year. It was the coronation of them being an official dynasty.
-
For most, me included, a dynasty has to include 3 Super Bowl wins within 4-7yr span. Dolphins and Cowboys were great teams in the 70s but the true dynasty was the Steelers. Just like the ‘00 Steelers were not a dynasty even though they won 2 amidst the Patriots dynasty. The only one that was borderline on your list would be Washington. But their championships were too spread out while being book ended by 2 legitimate dynasties in the 49ers and Cowboys. 70s Vikings? 90s Bills? C’mon. Making it to the big game 4 times is a major accomplishment. Not winning at least 1 is a major failure. Great teams but not even close to being a dynasty.
