I think there's enough of a difference that you'd wonder if they were from the same decade, let alone the same source. I doubt the other documents from the TANG in early 1970's differ significantly from the real one presented by the Post. Of course, even if they had the same font and formatting, you'd have to verify everything else about the documents before you present them as 'news'. It doesn't seem like they verified anything. Seems like they basically made every possible assumption necessary to conclude the memoes were for real. Or they just hoped no one would question 60 Minutes.

I'm really starting to buy into the whole "new golden age of baseball" idea. The 90's were a low point for the sport but I don't see how it could be much better than it is right now. Races in: AL West AL East NL Wild Card (4 team race if you include the Marlins (which you could about 5 days ago)) NL West And yet no potential playoff team strikes me as a lock to make it past even the first round. This is f'n great! All I could ask for is that they find a way to make these World Series games end before Midnight on the East Coast. Not too hard to accomplish, IMO.

No it isn't. In fact, NOT mentioning the War on Terror would be flat out wrong. It is the central issue of the campaign. Both candidates have to directly address that issue because they're trying to get a job that is directly involved with that situation. And I guess many news channels do show clips of 9/11 and other terrorist events in their little "look how great our coverage is" commercials. The main difference is that their clips have one of their reporters in the foreground. Here's so and so covering whatever. You get what I mean. I guess I was wrong for taking Powerline's translation at face value (though they got theirs from a blog based in Barcelona) but DC Tom just put it best. Before and after shots of NYC? That is awful and in very poor taste.
