I live/work in NJ. I am listening to crap from Jets fans (family, co-workers, friends) all happy about the Bills loss. Some were even happier with the Bills loss over the Giants losing. Many of the Jets fans I know don't consider the Giants a "real" rival unlike the Bills.

Prime time National and International TV games 2023
Gregg replied to Cygnus99's topic in The Stadium Wall
One thing about the Thanksgiving Day games. Doesn't the league alternate the AFC team going from Dallas and Detroit. If so, then Dallas would get the AFC team next year since the Bills just played at Detroit. Only 2 AFC teams are scheduled to play at Dallas next season. The Jets and the Pats. -
Nope. Whenever they play good teams with good offenses they get exposed as frauds. After 13 seconds how could anyone trust this defense. Look at the Vikings game as an example. Up 27-10 with a minute left in the 3rd quarter and they couldn't protect the lead.

Can Sean McDermott Coach the Bills to a Championship?
Gregg replied to jethro_tull's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's crazy they don't build a team that is built for the elements. The current and new stadium don't/won't have a dome. You will always have to factor in wind, rain, snow every season in OP. -
If Dorsey does get the job, then what about Reich for OC.

Daboll or Pederson. The Eagles, 49ers and Bills have strong rosters. Daboll got the most out of a roster that had very little talent at least on offense. Pederson has changed the culture and turned the Jags into a winning team in year 1. That was not an easy thing to do as that was an ugly situation last year with Meyer.

Dak is a lot better than the crap they have now. I don't want the Jets to get any halfway decent QB. They have a decent roster. A decent QB and sweeping them next year becomes difficult. We didn't even do it this year and we lost to Zach Wilson. That is embarrassing.

Can Sean McDermott Coach the Bills to a Championship?
Gregg replied to jethro_tull's topic in The Stadium Wall
Wishful thinking on my part but if Bill decided to retire from the Pats. I would throw a blank check at him if I were Pegula. Won 6 Super Bowls with Brady. He would definitely win one or more with Josh. Back to reality since I know this won't happen. -

They haven't played at home on Thanksgiving. The late game at home is the only thing left for them to do on Thanksgiving. -

Can Sean McDermott Coach the Bills to a Championship?
Gregg replied to jethro_tull's topic in The Stadium Wall
Back when McBeane got hired they interviewed Terry and asked him who is in charge. Terry said both men report to him. When it comes to practices, managing the game and everything that goes with the season McDermott is in charge since he is the HC. Beane can offer his advice/opinion, but McDermott has the final say. But the offseason stuff with the draft, FA, salary cap that is Beane responsibility. McDermott can offer his opinion, but Beane has the final say according to TP. -

The four remaining teams still alive to win a Super Bowl... CIN, KC, PHIL, SF. The Bills play three of them on the road next year (CIN, KC, PHIL). Maybe the Bills get the opening primetime game again like they did last year at LAR. My guess is 5. SNF - Dallas at Buffalo MNF - Buffalo at Miami - at least I hope so. A night game at Miami means no sun. TNF - Jets at Buffalo SNF - Buffalo at CIN or KC MNF - Giants at Buffalo -
Given our cap situation I think improvement will come mostly thru the draft. I don't expect the Bills to be players in FA this year. At least no big-time signings that move the needle. I would focus on the OL if I were Beane. The Bills need to do a much better job in pass protection and running the ball. A better stronger OL will help do that. Hopefully they get tougher as well. It was embarrassing watching the Bengals physically dominate on both sides of the ball. Von coming back should help the DL but we need to upgrade the OL.

Aaron Rodgers to the Jets for 2 first round picks?
Gregg replied to Lost's topic in The Stadium Wall
If he does, then he ends up in Minnesota. I am sure Packers fans would love to see that -
From the sounds of it the Bills won't be major players in FA. Have to hope Beane hits a HR in this upcoming draft.
-
If he can only do one thing this offseason, I hope it's the bolded part of your post. Need a better run game and to protect Josh better. Von coming back should improve our pass rush.

Breece Hall will also be back. The way he was going he was the favorite to win offensive rookie of the year. -

The Jets have a good defense and some pieces on offense. Hope this doesn't happen as they will be a big problem for the rest of the division. -
Bills will not make it to the playoffs in 2023?
Gregg replied to Cygnus99's topic in The Stadium Wall
GB is asking for two 1st Rd picks. That is a lot to give up for a 40-year-old. Rumors are starting about Rodgers and the Jets. -

Dov Kleiman on Twitter: "Update: The #Packers will not be trading Aaron Rodgers within the NFC Conference. They "will explore" the idea of trading the QB exclusively to the AFC, per @AdamSchefter https://t.co/RJef7DGNSB" / Twitter -
For the record I don't think McDermott is getting fired. But if he did what makes you think the Bills go back to being lousy. The Bills job would be a very attractive job. One of the best QB's in the league, a winning team over these last 5 years. You have a new stadium in a few years. I don't know who they would hire. That would be up to Pegula/Beane assuming he also doesn't get fired. This is all meaningless anyway because McDermott isn't getting fired this offseason.

Bengals will be the team to beat for years to come
Gregg replied to Niagara Dude's topic in The Stadium Wall
Nobody knows what would have happened if the Ravens score. If I remember correctly, it was 17-17 midway thru the 4th quarter. If they don't turn it over the Ravens at worst go up 20-17. The Ravens D held the Bengals to two first downs in the 2nd half. They were dominating the Bengals offense at that point. Who knows how it plays out, but the Bengals would have been in danger of losing. Give the Bengals D credit for making a big play and winning the game. -

Baltimore has a great front office. They draft and develop their players well. When was the last time the Ravens were bad. As for Watson he missed a lot of time and only played towards the end of the season. With a full offseason, preseason and playing starting week 1 then we will see if he regains his old form. The Steelers are one of those teams that never stay down too long. Like the Ravens they have a good front office and are run well. The Bengals are the best in the division, but they will be challenged. The North is a very tough division. -
