Excluding QB, who has the better roster, Bills or Jets?
Gregg replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
The only thing I can think of is the late 90's Bills. They had a really good defense led by Ted Washington. But we had QB controversy with Flutie and Johnson. I always thought the Bills could have won the Super Bowl if MCM didn't happen. At the very least they would have had a good chance to get there. -

What about Rodgers. He could reunite with Adams. -

If Carr goes to NO and Rodgers doesn't go to the Jets, then I could see them getting Jimmy G and resigning White as the backup. I don't see Wilson having a future there. -
Apparently Vegas doesn't agree the Bills are done...

Count on it. They will be hyping Mahomes and the Chiefs as usual along with Burrow and the Bengals. Depending on how the offseason goes it's possible the Dolphins and Jets get more hype to win the AFCE then the Bills do. I do however expect the Bills to get 4 or 5 primetime games, so they won't fly under the radar completely. -
NFL Honors award winners (Daboll is COTY, Mahomes is MVP)
Gregg replied to chongli's topic in The Stadium Wall
Congrats to Daboll. To get 9 wins and a playoff win from that roster is impressive. -
How did the Patriots maintain a top team for 17 years?

Much better coaching as well. -

If that was the case, then why not rig it for the NFL's darling franchises. Cowboys, Giants, Bears, Packers, Steelers. What is so special about NE or KC? -

The Jets did beat the Bills with Zach Wilson. What made it worse was they started that winning drive at their 5 and basically ran the ball down the Bills throats. They have a physical football team. I expect another 2 tough games against them next year. -
How do the Bills win the Super Bowl next year?

I look at the Eagles OL and DL and I am jealous. I wish the Bills could have that. Of course, so does every other fanbase in the league. -

Seeing some of the reports/rumors (nothing guaranteed yet) but it looks like Carr will be heading to NO. -

If they can improve the LOS on both sides of the ball and get a legit #2 WR then absolutely. But given our cap situation I don't know how active the Bills will be in FA. Beane really needs to hit a HR this draft. His draft record with the exception of Allen hasn't been all that great. -

The Dolphins do have a good roster, but it will be interesting to see what happens with their QB situation. At the "Pro Bowl games" they said Tua still hasn't cleared concussion protocol. Does he come back next year or retire? He had 2 confirmed concussions this past season and he probably had one in the first Bills game, but it wasn't called a concussion. -

The Jets won 7 games last year with White, Wilson, Flacco as their QB. They get a halfway decent QB then they will be trouble. The Bills have a great QB but the roster as a whole is overrated. IMHO. It's closer than you think. -

Ok the regular season then going forward. Right now, it's hard to answer until we go thru FA and the draft. But the Fins and Jets have closed the gap. Allen is the best QB in the division, but I am not sure the Bills have the best roster. The Bills are the favorite to win the division but if they don't, I wouldn't be surprised. Again, this is my answer now. That may change after the offseason moves are made by all 4 teams. -

For the regular season but in the playoffs the "everything else" is holding the Bills back. -

1. Improve the OL which leads to better pass protection and an improved running game with the RB's doing the running. 2. Improve the DL (hopefully Von stays healthy) as we have seen in the playoffs elite level QB's will kill us unless we get pressure on them. 3. A legit WR-2 to go opposite Diggs. Davis isn't it as he is more suited to a WR-3 role. 4. I would like a new DC that will implement a new scheme. But that isn't happening. So, McDermott needs to take responsibility for the D and call the plays. 5. If the playoff game is on a Saturday tell Frazier to show up to the stadium or Sunday or vice versa. -
Frazier: The hard FACTS on why many of us want a change.
Gregg replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
Even if this were true it doesn't mean Terry can't fire him. Beane and McDermott aren't going anywhere. Five playoff appearances in 6 years. Three straight division titles. The playoff failures are disappointing, but I can't see either one's seat getting warm just yet. -
The scene outside Beane's office from Bills Mafia.

Not Super Bowl related but your post also hits home with the Bills new stadium. They know 60,000 is probably a good number for the WNY market. Raised ticket prices and PSL fees will have many Bills fans watching the games from home instead of the stadium.
-
As an added bonus when you are home you can ignore the POS halftime show. At the stadium you have to suffer through it.

How much does sports success & failure affect your life?
Gregg replied to Success's topic in Off the Wall
It doesn't affect my life. There are more important things like family, health, job. Although I will admit it is frustrating that the Bills can't get over the hump and win a Super Bowl. I just want to see one in my lifetime. As for my other teams (Yankees, Islanders) I have seen both win especially the Yankees. Although it has been a while since they won a WS. George is probably turning over in his grave.
