A REPORTER THINKS Packers are "done with Rodgers"
Gregg replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
I wouldn't count on Breece for next year. Didn't he have the same injury Barkley had? When he came back it took him 2 years to get back to his elite level of play which we saw last season. I expect a 3-team fight in the AFCE with the Pats coming in last. -
Looking more likely that Barkley will test FA. Dov Kleiman on Twitter: "#Giants RB Saquon Barkley is now considered likely to hit free-agency There is still a “gap” in negotiations between the team and Barkley, per @nypost Giants arent likely to pay Saquon more than $12.5M a year and have "little interest" in placing the $10.1M franchise tag on him https://t.co/W0QE5tMO5A" / Twitter

At what sports event did you have your worst experience?
Gregg replied to Another Fan's topic in Off the Wall
I was at Giants Stadium for this one. Fights all over the place. This was the game that stopped alcohol sales at halftime. 4. Oct. 17, 1988 — Bills 37, Jets 14 The “Pumpkin Game” featured 41 incidents of improper behavior in the stands, 15 arrests and 56 ejections. Fans burned complimentary paper hats in the stands and batted around an inflated pumpkin. This game led to the stadium halting beer sales after halftime during night games. -
OT…Daniel Jones about to be a very very rich man

Maybe the Giants pay it, but they still have to sign Barkley. Didn't former GM Dave Gettleman leave them in salary cap hell that Schoen has been trying to get out of. I think the Giants will put the tag on him if a deal can't be worked out, so I don't see Jones going anywhere else. -

The Broncos did win a Super Bowl with Manning. Although he was carried by the defense as his skills had declined at that point. Carr is only 31 so he is still in his prime. Last year he threw for 3,522 yards with 24 TD's and 14 INT's. To compare that Wilson threw for 1,688 yards with 6 TD's and 7 INT's. White threw for 1,192 yards with 3 TD's and 4 INT's. Carr is a big upgrade for them. Although they do need to improve their OL just like the Bills. Last year both games were tough, hard-fought games. I expect it will be the same this coming season. Overall, their roster is pretty good. The Bills will have competition with the Jets and Dolphins for the AFCE. -

The Allen contract is going to look better as the years go by. Wait until Burrow, Herbert, Lawrence, Hurts get their big pay day. -

Even 35M is high IMHO but we will see how this plays out. -

Burrow, Herbert, Hurts, Lawrence. All of them will cash in bigtime. No way is Jones worth 45M. I could see 25M or 30M tops but not 45M per. -
Saw this posted at the Buffalo Range. Bengals LB Germaine Pratt, age 26. Pratt has evolved into one of the most underrated LBs in the NFL, as he amassed 190 tackles, 3 INTs, 3 FFs, and 9 PBUs in 2021 and 2022 Pratt’s 90.1 coverage grade was the best in the NFL and his 90.1 overall since week 8 was the top among LBs PFF grade = 80. Higher than Tremaine's. SPOTRAC is projecting a salary of $10 million AAV vs Tremaine Edmunds $17 - $18 million AAV

Maybe but then why play. Sure, he could make more money, but he is financially set for life right now. Unless he is a moron with his money like Tyson was, he could retire and do whatever he wants. -

I think it would be a good thing if he went there. Maybe then the Raiders can give the Chiefs some competition in the division. -
Build a better OL and the Chiefs become very beatable in the playoffs. Allen can't be the main focus of the running game. When Allen drops back to pass, he shouldn't have to run for his life most of the time. See Bengals playoff game as an example of that. The Bills did beat the Chiefs twice in Arrowhead in the regular season. They are beatable but the Bills need to fix some of their issues on offense if they want to beat them in the playoffs.

Did you know the Sabres have 6 games in hand on the Islanders. The Isles currently occupy WC 1 with 65 points and the Sabres have 60 points. The Sabres have control of their destiny. I mentioned this in another post. Nobody expects a Cup or even a playoff run this year. But it's important to make the playoffs just so their young players can get playoff experience. Also, it would be nice to end the playoff less streak just like the Bills did. It would also go a long way in developing a winning culture.

As long as the Bills have Allen, I don't think the window will completely close. I don't want to say "rebuild" but Beane has to do some retooling of this roster. OL improvement is must. Give Allen a strong OL and he will make the receivers around him better. Another weapon at WR would also help. We are probably going to lose some key players in FA so how Beane handles this offseason with the draft/FA is key.

Here in the NYC area the speculation is the Jets will make Carr an offer after a positive visit. -

What is the one, most important move the Bills should make this off-season?

OL has to be priority #1. -

I hope they don't get Carr either as he would also be an upgrade over what they have. I am hoping they strike out on getting one of the QB's and have to resign White with Wilson as the backup again. -

By his standards he had a down year throwing for 3,695 yards with 26 touchdowns and 12 interceptions. That isn't a bad year overall, but the decline may have started. He is 39 and I don't see him playing well into his mid 40's like Brady did. I still don't want him going to the Jets as he is still good enough to get them to the playoffs. That would make things harder for the Bills. -
How is the draft this year for WR's? I expect the Bills will go OL in RD 1 but maybe they can get a good WR in the later rounds.
-
The Sabres have a good shot at making the playoffs this year. Nobody expects a Cup or even a playoff run but making the playoffs is very important for this team. They would break their playoff less streak like the Bills did in McDermott's first year. It would give the players some playoff experience which is a great thing to have going forward. It would also show that the Sabres rebuild is working this time in building a winning culture. Just like the Bills have done.

He probably would be very effective in this offense as the #3 WR. Hopefully Beane can upgrade at #2 WR to go opposite Diggs.
