At Boston tonight. Getting even a point tonight would have to be considered a win.

Need to build the OL. Best OL available to us is where I would go. The draft board never goes as predicted. Some players stock will fall/rise like it does every draft. There will probably be players available at 27 who weren't expected to be there.

McDermott wants a ‘nastier edge’ to his Defense post Frazier
Gregg replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Terry does know how his team is run. In an interview when they were first hired, he said both men report to him Sean has final say on the coaching/football side of things and Brandon does with the roster building with FA/draft. Just repeating what Terry said in that interview. -
Exactly. Winning the division and making the playoffs is great but the bar has been raised. McDermott has to deliver a Super Bowl championship especially with a QB as good as Allen. Otherwise, he will be known as this generations Marty Schottenheimer/Marvin Lewis. We haven't even made the Super Bowl yet with Allen much less win one.

McDermott wants a ‘nastier edge’ to his Defense post Frazier
Gregg replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Pitchforks and knives will be out in full force if the Bills draft any defensive player in the 1st round. Besides I am more interested in who Beane (the guy who has the final say with the draft per TP) is going to draft. -
Sean recommended Beane and the Pegula's (the real bosses) hired him. Why would Beane stay on as the Bills GM if he were just a puppet? Obviously, Sean and Brandon talk strategy. My guess is Sean tells Brandon what type of player he would like on the roster. Beane and his scouts start the process in September when CFB season starts. Don't forget Beane can focus a lot of his time on CFB while Sean is focused on the Bills season. I am sure Beane runs the draft because of this. For all we know one of the scouts tells Beane about a player and then Beane flies to the game to see the player in person. Then takes a flight back to wherever the Bills are playing that Sunday. Terry has already said both men report to him and neither of them is the boss over the other.

I expect the defense to regress with Edmunds and Poyer most likely gone. I will be complaining if Allen has to be a one-man gang again. Build around Allen. Better OL, and more weapons to go along with Diggs. If the defense can be in the 10-15 range, then I can live with that provided the Bills offense improves with a more balanced attack. Allen isn't winning a Super Bowl by having to play Superman. Look at KC. Is the defense really that great? Yet they have 2 Super Bowls championships recently.

Depends on who X is. Have you seen Frazier's defense against good teams with good QB's. Even some scrub QB almost won a playoff game at Buffalo for Miami. Frazier's defense does suck. I am not impressed with shutting out bottom feeders to pad the stats and have a high-ranking defense. Everybody knows the Bills defense was a paper tiger.

If McDermott makes himself the DC and the D ****'s the bed again in the playoffs, then I know who I am blaming. Overall, he and Beane have done a good job, but it is fair to wonder if they will get over the hump and bring a Lombardi to Buffalo. I still can't believe 13 seconds happened. If by some miracle Belichick and the Pats ever part ways I would offer him a blank check to come here if I were Terry Pegula. Give Bill an elite level franchise QB and everyone knows what he can do.

The Rags always make moves like this, and it never works. Started in 1926 which is 97 years ago. 4 Cups in 97 years. Worst among all original 6 teams. 3 of those Cups were won before expansion so make it 1 in 97 post expansion.

I can't really narrow it down to one play. I became a fan in the 70's and the Bills were mostly terrible that decade. The first truly great moment would be the 80 opener and the 17-7 win over Miami. For a play that season I would say Nick Mike-Mayer kicking a game winning field goal in OT that gave the Bills a 10-7 win over the Rams at Rich Stadium and clinched a playoff spot that season. Other notable plays the hail mary to Roland Hooks that beat the Pats in the 81 season 20-17. Also, later that year in the WC game at Shea Stadium, Bill Simpson's INT at the goal line with seconds left preserving a 31-27 win over the Jets.
-
If he does call plays, then he goes on the hot seat if the defense fails again.

Many Jets-Giants fans prefer Giants Stadium over MetLife. MetLife is viewed as a POS by both fanbases. So newer doesn't necessarily mean better. With raised ticket prices and PSL fees many fans will be missing the current stadium.

You could easily be talking about #17. -
QB Carr to visit the Jets (Update: signed with the Saints)
Gregg replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
They won't. The game in Miami the Bills dominated in every way but the scoreboard and lost. I thought Miami had the better of it in both games in Buffalo, yet the Bills came out on top. The two Jets games were just physical games with both teams winning close ones at home. I don't think it's all gloom and doom. The Bills did go 13-3 last season. But with Poyer and Edmunds most likely gone. An OL that needs to be improved, plus more skill is needed on offense. It can't just be the Allen and Diggs show. This is a very important offseason for Beane if the Bills are to win the AFCE for a 4th straight time as well as compete for a SB. I would call it a "retooling" of the roster instead of a rebuild, however. -
I saw that. It was a three-way trade with BOS-WASH-MINN. Pitt would be wise to do the same. It will be difficult for them to make the playoffs with that defense and goaltending.

Bobby Wagner - the solution to the Edmunds problem

If Beane can make it work financially then definitely. -
Chad Johnson says he lived in Bengals' stadium for two years

I guess if he has his GF over, he could get laid on the 50-yard line. There aren't too many people who could say that. -

Don't spend like a drunken sailor. I get that. But buying a house or renting an apartment is not being irresponsible with your money. Especially when you are making an NFL player's salary. -

I am surprised the Bengals allowed this. Why wouldn't he want to spend money. Professional athletes make way more money than the average Joe. He could easily afford his own place.
