Lamar Jackson wants guarantees that exceed Watson contract
Gregg replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Ian Rapoport on Twitter: "The #Ravens have officially franchised tagged QB Lamar Jackson, giving him the non-exclusive tag. https://t.co/MXzOHvJbWI" / Twitter -
Beane needs to hit a HR in the draft/FA.

I wouldn't count on Breece to have a big impact in 2023. It took Barkley a couple of seasons before he regained his old form this past year.

Dan Graziano on Twitter: "I’m told the Jets contingent on the way to California includes team owner Woody Johnson, GM Joe Douglas, head coach Robert Saleh, offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett, possibly others." / Twitter
-
And then there is this. Dov Kleiman on Twitter: "Tom Brady might not be “done after all" with his playing in the NFL, according to @RichEisenShow who talked to people in Indy. "Folks are saying keep an eye on Miami." https://t.co/G554c1AI6p" / Twitter

In other QB news the Falcons and Ravens are discussing a trade for LJ. Dov Kleiman on Twitter: "Report: The #Falcons have “very real” interest in trading for #Ravens QB Lamar Jackson, a source told @MattLombardoNFL “The Lamar Jackson conversation between the Ravens and Falcons progressed tremendously in Indianapolis,” https://t.co/lUigtaoRJM" / Twitter

Rob Demovsky on Twitter: "Update: Sources tell @DanGrazianoESPN and me that a contingent of Jets team officials are scheduled to fly out today to meet in person with Aaron Rodgers." / Twitter

They do have issues at OL just like the Bills, but their roster overall is pretty good. Rodgers goes there and the Bills will have a fight on their hands just to win the division. They may even have that now with the Fins.
-
They get a lot better. 2022 Stats Mike White - 1192 yards 3 TD's 4 INT's Zach Wilson - 1688 yards 6 TD's 7 INT's
-
If this happens you can count on a Bills vs Jets primetime game. Allen and Rodgers is definitely getting one. The other would probably be the national game on Sunday afternoon with Romo and Nantz.
-
I don't understand why these players act this way. I get it that some of them grew up in tough conditions but once you have made it as a professional athlete then "grow up". They can lead a lifestyle that most of us can only dream about. Why throw it all away doing stupid s***.
-
As punishment Burrow, Chase, Higgins, Boyd, and Mixon should be suspended for the entire 2023 season. Same for the HC who is pretty good. Adam Gase will coach the Bengals next season
-
It's going to be a tough game. The Isles are usually good at home. They haven't played since Saturday, so they are rested. The Sabres will be playing their 3rd game in 4 nights so fatigue may play a factor especially in the 3rd period.

Looks like Rivers wants to come out of retirement. Dov Kleiman on Twitter: "Retired NFL QB Philip Rivers has expressed desire to return to the NFL. He already contacted the #49ers and #Dolphins about coming out of retirement late in the 2022 season, according to @richeisen https://t.co/aEfLAF8iDl" / Twitter

QB Carr to visit the Jets (Update: signed with the Saints)
Gregg replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
https://www.nbcsportsedge.com/artic...zz/23-most-interesting-things-i-heard-combine 3. As long as we are talking big-name quarterbacks, despite all the rumors of Derek Carr going to the Jets, one thing that held that up was that Jets owner Woody Johnson really wants Aaron Rodgers. So, the staff has had to be supportive of that. However, secretly, the rest of the team's front office wanted Derek Carr. Now that Carr is reportedly signing with New Orleans, the Jets are in “Hoping for Rodgers” mode. If that doesn't work out… who knows? When Woody Johnson gets involved in the Jets day to day business activities then it means great things for the Bills, Dolphins, and Pats. -
Take comfort Sabres fans. Maybe they make the playoffs this year and maybe they won't but... Buffalo is going to be good for a very long time. Jack Quinn seems to be the real deal. Cozens, Krebs, Jost all first rd, young guys flourishing down the middle. That’s before mentioning Tuch or Thompson or Dahlin or Powers. Plus young high end role players like middlestat, peterka, ollofson, samuelson. KO and Skinner who have been great. Not sure about the depth on D but this team is stacked for the future nonetheless.

Ian Rapoport on Twitter: "The #Saints & Derek Carr agreed on a 4-yr deal for $150M with $100M in total guarantees, per me & @MikeGarafolo. He gets $70M effectively fully guaranteed ($60M at signing, another $10M in Year 3 vesting after Year 1). Carr structures his deal to accommodate Saints’ cap issues. https://t.co/vs6qaBh7rg" / Twitter

Diggs unfollows Buffalo, follows Cowgirls 🤷♂️
Gregg replied to DaggersEOD's topic in The Stadium Wall
If anything, he probably is more likely to be unhappy with the coaching staff than with Allen. McDermott and Dorsey most likely assuming he is unhappy at all with the organization. The playoff failures have been frustrating to watch. -

Maybe Rodgers goes there and this all blows up in the Jets faces. I will feel "so bad" if it does -

No not yet. The Jets are going all in for him. Either JD knows he has a deal with Rodgers and that's why they didn't pursue Carr, or this will blow up in their faces. -

Rich Cimini on Twitter: "As @JFowlerESPN notes on @GetUpESPN, #Jets still involved with Rodgers, but contract ($59M in ‘23) is a roadblock. Sounds like they want GB to eat some money. FWIW: AR said in late January he’d be willing to adjust contract. Everything is negotiable - contract, draft comp." / Twitter
