  1. I've been to UBS arena. The place is gorgeous.
  2. If they can go on a Cup run and win it, then that is great. It's the hardest trophy in sports to win. Young team with little playoff experience probably won't win it all the 1st time they make the playoffs. Take the dynasty Islanders teams that won 4 in a row from 80-83. They got beat by the Leafs in 78 and hated Rangers in 79 before winning it all. The Oilers of the Gretsky era fell short including being swept in the 83 Finals by the Islanders before winning it all in 84.
  3. Beane should at least kick the tires on this.
  4. Agree. I am not saying they Cup or even go on a playoff run yet. But I do think they will have a good regular season and make the playoffs. They need to improve the defense however but next year will be a good year. IMHO.
  5. I think next year will be the year. I know the Sabres have been spinning their wheels going nowhere for a long time. But you can tell when a team is really starting to get better. This Sabres team has that feel to it. 2023-24 is going to be the year the Sabres have a breakout season. Similar to what NJ is doing this year.
  6. If he was on the team from the start, then there is a good chance the Sabres would have been in the playoffs this year. It is early but you can tell he has the "it" factor to be a really good goalie.
  7. He gets another concussion then he should retire. No joke he had 2 confirmed last season vs CIN/GB and probably 3 but they didn't call it a concussion during the first Bills game.
  8. The Shining was another great horror movie.
  9. It's early but it looks like the Sabres have found their goalie of the future. Improve the defense and then say hello playoffs next season. The forwards are really good. 2023-24 is the year Sabres fans will be rewarded.
  10. 0-4 on the road in the playoffs as well.
  11. The blame will 100% go to Woody Johnson if this blows up in their faces. It was reported in the NYC media that JD and Saleh wanted Carr but Johnson was all in for Rodgers.
  12. Rodgers would be better off going to SF. They are a legit Super Bowl contender, and the NFC is the easier conference.
  13. Looks like the Caps are playing the B-team vs NYI tonight. Tarik El-Bashir on Twitter: "To recap, the #Caps tonight vs. the NYI figure to be without Ovechkin, Oshie, Mantha, TvR and Dowd, who also did not skate this morning. That means WSH will have 17 skaters again. Man, cap issues on top of everything else seems to be only way this season could end." / Twitter
  14. This would be so funny if it happens.
  15. I agree with you that it is a rip off. But if the team is winning then enough fans will deal with the cost and still go to the games. Unfortunately, many fans will be priced out from going. The Bills know they will lose fans as the new stadium will only hold 65K.
  16. It will work as long as the Bills can put a winning product on the field that can compete for a Super Bowl. But if that changes then look to the 1970's, 1984, 1985 levels of attendance. Pressure is on Terry, and it will really be on Beane and McDermott to keep them a winning team.
  17. Penguins have two cupcakes left on their schedule in the Hawks and Jackets. Unless they "F" up the Pens are getting 4 points. The Isles just need 3 points to clinch. At Caps tonight which could be a tough game. Rivalry game and it's on the road. Still the Isles are favored to win. Isles finish up with the Canadiens at home on Wednesday. I doubt they lose that one. The Panthers have the Leafs tonight and the Canes after that. Toronto is a good team, but they have nothing to play for. The Carolina game will be tough as they are trying to hold off NJ for the division. Bottom line is the Sabres are definitely heading in the right direction. I would say they will make the playoffs next season if they can improve the defense.
  18. Connor Hughes on Twitter: "Odell Beckham Jr. called the #Jets last night & gave them a chance to match the offer he got from the #Ravens, per sources. They were never going that high, though. Again, with Jets, he’s their No. 3. Ravens gave him a better deal. He took it." / Twitter
  19. It's going to put pressure on Terry to field a competitive team. Could you imagine 5-12, 6-11 type seasons in the new stadium with those ticket prices and PSL fees. If Terry is under pressure, then you know McDermott and Beane will be as well.
  20. 194 pages and counting for someone who won't be a Bill. Any WR help we get is coming from the draft.
  21. Isn't the seating capacity at the new stadium going to be around 60,000. That is probably a good number for the Buffalo market. Many fans will be priced out from going unfortunately.
  22. I am one of those suckers. Here is the funny part. Most Giants and Jets fans will tell you they like Giants Stadium better than MetLife. The stadium is now 14 years old but for a relatively new stadium it is viewed as a POS by most fans especially when compared to stadiums in Dallas, Vegas, LA, Minnesota, Indianapolis.
  23. Obviously, the NYC area market is different than Buffalo. My seats at MetLife (I have 2 seats) had a $5,000 per seat PSL fee. I opted for the 10-year payment plan. Thankfully for me I am done paying that now. My PSL fee wasn't even the most expensive. Lower level 50-yard line had a 20,000 per seat PSL fee. Only the extremely wealthy or corporations could afford those seats.
  24. I can tell you what the Jets do. As for seasons you can pay in full due 2/1 by check or credit card. You can pay over 6 months by credit card only starting 2/1. As for the PSL fee the Jets send that out in late September and its due Nov 1. You can pay it in one shot. Most people can't afford to do this. You can pay over 5, 10, 15 years. Unfortunately, the Jets charge interest if you do it this way. But the season ticket bill and PSL bill come at different times of the year. The Bills will have to work with the fans on the PSL fee. Many won't be able to pay it in one shot.
