Is Sean McDermott our version of Doug Collins?
Gregg replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
You will also need to Terry Pegula to become a George Steinbrenner type of owner for this to happen. Better make sure the playoff game is at home as he is winless on the road. 0-4 JAC, HOU, KC (2). -
The Buffalo News on Twitter: "Murphy said via text he isn’t ready to be interviewed, but he did send this reply: “I’m going to wait until late July before I decide whether to come back. Still some recovery to do.” https://t.co/h9MpyyqLnd" / Twitter

Hopkins released by Arizona (7/16: signed by Titans)

Hopefully Kincaid can have a big impact this year. -
This is really no big deal as other teams do this as well. Football doesn't really start until TC in July. Even then most of the starters don't see any preseason action. If they do it's usually for a series or two.

They both do. Terry said in an interview when both were hired that both of them report to him. -

Just look at the Jets and Giants as examples. At Giants Stadium both teams sold out the stadium with season tickets holders and had a waiting list as well. At MetLife both teams now advertise to buy season and individual tickets. PSL were a disaster in the NYC market. It also didn't help that both teams sucked for the past decade. If the Bills in a much smaller market without the corporate support that the NYC area can offer, they better put a winning product out there or they will be playing in front of sparse crowds like the Jets and Giants did. -

Terry wasn't so patient with the Sabres when they were a clown show all of those years. The Bills of the last 6 years have been much better than the Sabres of the past decade, but Terry has shown he will make major changes if he feels it's necessary. New stadium on the way the Bills better field a winning product considering what the cost will be for fans to attend their games. -

With the new stadium on the way, higher ticket prices and PSL fees I don't think Terry will accept letting the damage play out. Now more than ever Beane and McDermott have to win otherwise say hello to empty seats at the new place. -

No, it's not. -
I don't think anyone cares what any of these so-called "experts" really think. But McDermott was outcoached in the first 2 games against them. I disagree on the playoff game. That was more of the Bills shooting themselves in the foot that let the Fins back in it. Early on that game looked like it was going to be a blowout.

Colin thinks McDermott should get canned. Herd w/Colin Cowherd on Twitter: ""Sean McDermott, last chance. He's the issue. I watched him get out coached by Mike McDaniel 3 times." — @ColinCowherd on Stefon Diggs' absence from minicamp https://t.co/wz76ZVeupl" / Twitter

The way he is going he might not even be here next year. Then we will have to deal with the useless cackling "Queen".

I get it was a small sample size, but Levi showed he has the "it" factor to be the next Sorokin/Shesterkin type of goalie. Granted he will have to prove that over the long haul, but it does look like he can be based on the games he played. I could see the Sabres looking for a veteran goalie in FA to split the workload with Levi if they are not happy with what they have. The really good thing about the Sabres is they have a good core group to build around. The future looks bright.

I don't know about that. Put Mahomes on the Pats and Jones on the Chiefs. I think Bill would have a better season then Andy.
-
They do need to strengthen the defense, but the offense is pretty much set. They have a good group of forwards who are young and only going to get better. We will see how Levi does over the course of a full season. He looked pretty good when he played towards the end of last season. I think this is finally the year playoff hockey returns to WNY.
-
He is old but I bet he would win a Super Bowl with Allen as his QB.
-
Not if he has a franchise QB. Going from Brady to Jones is like going from a Porsche to a tricycle.
-
He had no problem firing GM's/HC's of the Sabres when they were a ****show. Thankfully things are looking up for them now.
-
Who knows what is going on but if there is an issue, I would hope McDermott or Beane call a meeting with all parties involved to clear the air. Next month training camp starts, and this can't or shouldn't be an issue at that time. At that time the focus needs to be on getting ready for the season and eventually kicking the Jets ass on 9/11.

Dov Kleiman on Twitter: "Update: The #Giants have now placed their pre-franchise tag offer back on the table for RB Saquon Barkley, per @RapSheet It was taken off back in March when they tagged him but now it's back on. The offer was separately reported to be worth up to $14 million, per @njdotcom https://t.co/jGxvpdXjVr" / Twitter

Didn't the Giants (if I remember correctly) start the game with just 2 DL with everyone else back playing the pass. They were begging the Bills to run the ball down their throats. Thurman did have a great game. Would have been the MVP if it was 22-20.
-
In the Bills case the expectations have been sky high these past few seasons. The playoff losses have not only been frustrating but it's the way they lost. 13 seconds is still unbelievable and the no-show vs the Bengals last year are the two games that tops the list.
