Tommy Sweeney has "Medical Event" at Practice
Gregg replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
I would think the opposite because of the Hamlin incident. That was probably a wakeup call for all teams in sports not just the NFL to be as well prepared as possible. You hope something serious like that never happens again, but they have to be prepared as best as they can. -
Are the Dolphins obviously better than the Bills?

Mike White is already in concussion protocol, and I doubt Tua will stay healthy for 17 games. They have a QB problem. -
Are the Dolphins obviously better than the Bills?
Gregg replied to Giuseppe Tognarelli's topic in The Stadium Wall
Looking back at the games last year. The Bills deserved to win in Miami. They went up and down the field all day but just couldn't finish drives. Miami deserved to win in Buffalo as I thought they had the better of the play most of the night. The playoff game looked like it was going to be a Bills blowout until the Bills got sloppy and turned the ball over. Credit the Dolphins for coming back and making it a game with a scrub at QB. I expect the games will be close again this year. I am more worried about the Jets then I am the Fins. -
This was posted over at the Buffalo Range. The NFL Cut Down Day is Tuesday August 29th. Just a few days away. All teams have to cut from 90 players to 53. Approx 37 players per team will hit the street next Monday / Tuesday. About 1184 pink slips. Will Beane trade away a player this week, like he has done in the past? Here are a few examples: Aug 2019 traded LB Eli Harold for Ryan Bates Aug 2019 traded OL Russell Bodine to New England for a 6th round pick Sept 2018 Traded QB AJ McCarron to the Oakland Raiders for a 2019 fifth-round draft pick Sept 2018 Traded OT Marshall Newsome to the Panthers for a 7th round pick Aug 2021 Traded DE Darryl Johnson to the Panthers for a 6th round pick Aug 2022: Traded G Cody Ford to Arizona for a 2023 fifth-round pick Who might be someone the Bills would trade? An extra DL or DE? A defensive back?

All-Pro DT Chris Jones not at Chiefs Mandatory Minicamp
Gregg replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall
Jones would be a huge loss for their defense. The Chargers already play the Chiefs tough, and it would become harder stopping Herbert and company if Jones isn't out there. KC should be the favorite but the Chargers winning the division wouldn't surprise me. -

If anything, it will help the Chargers win the division and KC would have to settle for a WC. -
The Jets also got fired up to play the Bills more than any other team last year including the Pats and Dolphins. The Bills have been the team to beat in the AFCE recently so I can understand that the Jets use the Bills as a measuring stick game. Remember Saleh's "we will see them again" comment after the game in Buffalo. As others have pointed out its Monday night on 9/11, home opener and this is the biggest Jets home game in a long time. The Bills better be ready to bring their "A" game. Anything less and they probably lose.

Will Bruce Smith’s sack record ever be broken?
Gregg replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don't think OJ's record of 2,003 yards in 14 games will be broken. I know Eric Dickerson has the record with 2,105 yards but he needed 16 games to do it. With the way the league is now as a passing dominated league I just don't think you will see an RB run for over 2,000 yards and do it by game 14. -

The playoff failures are getting old, however. I wonder if this team really ever recovered from 13 seconds. If the Bills fail again this year, then the heat should be turned up on McDermott's job security in Buffalo. I am sure it will by the fans and media but will it by Terry P is the big question.

I think the Jets would have been better off with Carr instead of Rodgers. At this point in their careers is Rodgers that much better than Carr. Obviously, he is in his career and a first ballot future HOF, but Carr is only 32 and could have given the Jets more than 2 years. Rodgers might not be that good in these next 2 years anyway.

This is the year they will make the playoffs. They really have a good group of forwards led by Tage. If the D and G are decent, they will make it.

It's nice to see they are selected as one of the teams with the brightest future. Still have to prove it on the ice but it's nice the Sabres getting some respect.
