If the Pats beat the Jets this Sunday, then I would expect the Jets to bring in Carson Wentz for a look. He is probably the best available QB they could get right now.
-
Those two Bills - Dolphins games should be fun to watch. I hope the Commanders game this week isn't a trap game for the Bills with the showdown vs the Fins in week 4.
-
The division will probably come down to the Bills and Dolphins at this point assuming no major injuries. Once Rodgers got hurt the Jets chances of winning the division went out the window. I will say Bills, Fish, Jets, Pats.

Josh Allen made some history with his 3 TDs
Gregg replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall
The TD pass he had where he looked like he was going to run then stopped and threw a dart for a TD was a sick (in good way) play. -
I would not be surprised if SF shuts out the Giants this Thursday. Shut outs are hard to get in today's NFL.
-
They have built their roster to stop the Bills. That defense is a pain in the ass as the last 3 games against them have shown.

Adam Schefter on X: "An MRI showed that Giants’ RB Saquon Barkley suffered an “ordinary” ankle sprain that now is expected to sideline him three weeks, per source." / X (twitter.com) Without their best player on offense this Thursday's game against the Niners will probably be really ugly not that they had much of a chance if Barkley was playing.

Who do we root for in this Sunday's Jets-Pats game? I still think the Jets are more of a threat with that defense and Hall and G. Wilson. On one hand I want the Pats to win as the meltdown in the NYC area would be funny but on the flip side it would be so sweet to see NE fall to 0-3.

To All You Dorsey/McD Haters What Say You Now ?

I lost faith in McDermott after 13 seconds. Still the Bills have proven to be a good regular season team. They still have to prove it in the playoffs. -
Ian Rapoport on X: "From The Insiders on NFL+: With his injury situation handled, all eyes are now on #Bengals QB Joe Burrow's contract... and there is some optimism it gets done before kickoff. https://t.co/cJ20qf8BAi" / X (twitter.com) He is going to get paid bigtime obviously. It will be interesting to see if the Bengals can keep their big 3 at WR going forward.

A QB matchup between Josh Allen and Mel Gibson's dad this Monday night.

Even Chris "Mad Dog" Russo is tired of the Jets hype.

If you look at all 3 games vs the Fins last year. The Bills should have won the first game but lost. Statistically they dominated and went up and down the field all day but just couldn't finish drives. The Dolphins should have won the 2nd game but lost. I thought they had the better of the play most of the night. They were certainly running the ball down the Bills throats in this game. The playoff game you are right. That game was looking like a blowout for the first 20 minutes and then the Bills got sloppy. To the Dolphins credit they took advantage and made it a game.

I think the Chargers are going to beat them Sunday. It would be nice if the fish start off 0-1. I would be surprised if the Eagles lose to the Pats, so I expect NE to start off 0-1.

Is this Bills team better than the 2020/2021/2022 versions?
Gregg replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
Regardless of how this season plays out I do think we are headed for an interesting offseason. As you mentioned players are getting older and many are on the wrong side of 30. I don't want to call it a rebuild but a reload or retooling of the roster will probably happen for the 2024 season. -
Probably not but he is 34. He has played a lot of football so he is getting to that age where he might start slowing down.
-
Who had 5 games where he threw for less than 200 yards and no 300 yard or more passing games last season. I get he is an upgrade over the crap they had last year but his skills have declined.
-
I prefer the Bills fly under the radar. But it is annoying that a 7-win team that hasn't made the playoffs in 13 years is now viewed as some sort of powerhouse.

Before my time but the nod goes to the 64 and 65 Bills simply because they won back-to-back AFL championships. Plus, the early 90's Bills are probably better. Better OL for sure, better overall group of WR's led by Reed and Lofton, much better RB. Defensively I think the 90's Bills were also better led by #78. -
On the flip side if the Bills win. The fans and media in NYC will be crying all week. Jets go to Dallas in week 2 so the pressure to avoid an 0-2 start would be tremendous. If they lose that one, then the FIRE SALEH chants will be in full force for their week 3 game at MetLife against the Pats.
-
I live here in NJ, so I get this crap 24-7. Now that the season is here it has been really bad this week. They are hyping this game as the biggest Jets regular season game since the Rex days when they went to back-to-back AFCCG. The Bills better be ready as the Jets and atmosphere at MetLife Stadium will be super charged up this Monday night.

I lost faith in McDermott after 13 seconds. He is a good regular season coach, but I don't know if he gets us to the top. To many playoff failures in his history not to mention winless on the road in the playoffs.- 59 replies

The one bad thing about tonight is we are going to have to listen to Collingsworth drool over Mahomes doing this and Mahomes doing that for 3 hours. With the exception of that I am excited football is back. The offseason is just so long.
