Boston Globe writer "Belicheck could be coaching for his job this weekend"
Gregg replied to zow2's topic in The Stadium Wall
And the Jets game. I was at MetLife on Monday night for the Jets-Chargers and Wilson is an absolute joke of a QB and their OL is crap. I know the Jets defense matches up well with the Bills, but they cannot get swept by that team and QB. That would be embarrassing. -

Say what you want about Bill, but he doesn't deserve to be fired mid-season for all he has done for that organization. Nine Super Bowl appearances with six Super Bowl wins. If Bill and the Pats part ways it will be in the off season where Bill agrees to step down and retire. I doubt Kraft comes out and tells him he is fired.- 50 replies

They have to run the table at home including the Cowboys game which won't be easy. 8-0 at home and try and pick up another road win along with the Dolphins game which is a must. It's either win the division or no playoffs this year.
-
Is it? The division is never easy. The 49ers and Jaguars are good teams. The Texans look like they have a stud in CJ Stroud at QB. Plus, that game is on the road. The Seahawks on the road will be tough. Obviously, we have to wait and see how the offseason plays out with the draft and FA but on paper right now that schedule isn't as easy as one might think.
-
I definitely think there will be significant changes this offseason to the roster. Do you trust Beane to make the right moves. He also has to share in the blame with McDermott in this team not getting over the hump and at least getting to or winning a Super Bowl. I look at the Ravens roster and I am jealous. That is what a Super Bowl contending roster looks like. Strong at the LOS on both sides of the ball. Top notch defense all around. Can run the ball down your throat. Can play action pass or run/pass option with Lamar and do it very well. Lamar doesn't get the credit that Mahomes, Allen and Burrow do but he is also a very good passer. Unless injuries play a factor, I think we are looking at a Ravens-Eagles Super Bowl.

He had success in the NFL as he took the Niners to the Super Bowl so it wouldn't be a bad hire IMHO. But McDermott isn't getting fired this year even if the Bills miss the playoffs. Terry will give him the 2024 season to fix things.
-
He won't fire him this offseason but if the 2024 season goes south then all bets are off. Terry is not afraid to make changes as we have seen with the Sabres over the years.
-
The Baltimore Ravens would like a word with you.

Is 10 Wins enough to make the playoffs? What is the path to 10 wins?
Gregg replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
To many conference losses so the tiebreakers won't go their way. Need to catch Miami since they probably won't get in as a WC. As for 10 wins. Need to run the table at home and finish 8-0. I don't count London as a home game. Have to beat Miami on the final Sunday obviously. If they could split with the Chiefs and Eagles or beat the Chargers, then that probably gives them the AFCE. -
I don't see Terry making any changes if they do miss the playoffs. It would be their first bad year in a while, so my guess is Terry gives them the 2024 season to fix things. But if that season goes south then I think you could see a new GM/HC brought in.

Starting the week off great in my office pool. Had the Titans plus 3.5 so naturally the Steelers win by 4. -
Combating imaginary racism with actual racism??
Gregg replied to Unforgiven's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
LOL. Just when you thought the woke mentality couldn't get any dumber. Birds will be renamed because of racist names. You hear that the woke thinks bird names are racist. I just have one question. Will the Bald Eagle be renamed the Jada Pinkett Smith bird. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/dozens-of-species-of-birds-are-being-renamed-and-will-no-longer-be-linked-to-people/ar-AA1jhUx6?ocid=entnewsntp&pc=DCTS&cvid=b42dfe5d3ca8428496fa88d794cd1c82&ei=23 -

In my weekly pool I have the Titans getting 3.5. -
Maybe. This board could be singing a different tune come Sunday night around 11:20 or so

Go ask the Jets and Giants how ticket sales went going from Giants Stadium to MetLife. Granted both teams sucked but they both had a huge season ticket waiting list and pissed thru that very quickly. Now both teams advertise season and individual tickets. That is a far cry when they both had 78,000 season tickets holders and a waiting list in the thousands. If didn't work in the NYC area imagine what it will be like in Buffalo.
-
Maybe. New stadium on the way. Huge prices increase for season/individual tickets are coming as well as PSL fees. Terry needs a good/competitive team going into the new stadium if he wants strong ticket sales at those prices.
-
Good job Beane. Helps shore up the run defense.
-
Thank God it wasn't the NY kind.

No. I want one Super Bowl Championship in my lifetime.
