Do you want Sean McDermott to be the head coach of the 2024 Buffalo Bills?
Gregg replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
A sub-process to help with the process. -
If the Bills are playing like crap again the only chant you might hear is "Fire McDermott".
-
Their defense is loaded and keeps them in every game despite getting almost no help from the offense. Blue over white this Sunday.

I wish more players on the Bills had the desire to win that Diggs has. Diggs would run through a wall to win a championship. We need more of that here.

Hire my friend Brandon. End of search.

Week 11, NJ Jest v. Bills - Predict the Score
Gregg replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
Getting swept by a Zach Wilson led team is a fire able offense. That would be embarrassing. I know the Bills have struggled but the Jets offense is worse. As long as Allen doesn't throw 3 picks. If he does, then they might lose. Sabres 16 Islanders 13. -
Would you today trade places with Texans fans?
Gregg replied to Pine Barrens Mafia's topic in The Stadium Wall
Window isn't closing since Allen has many years left but the roster will have to be retooled or reloaded. I do think the window to win with the current core group has probably closed. -
Who was behind the decision to fire Dorsey?

I will be curious to see on the CBS pregame show this week if McDermott's job security will come up for after the season. You know they will talk about the Dorsey firing and the Bills disappointing season at some point.
-
Same with Cowher. Remember when rumors or speculation would come up that he was going back to coaching. Boomer on his WFAN show would tell everybody it's not happening but the rumors still kept going for a while. Now it's getting close to 20 years since he last coached. You can tell he likes sitting in the CBS studio getting paid millions to talk and watch football. That is a dream job.

There is a better chance I am coaching the Bills if McDermott gets fired over Frazier. If anything, I could see Pegula making a big move like hiring Bill with PSL's and raised ticket prices coming if he wants to make a big splash. Otherwise, they will most likely go the coordinator route someone like Lions OC Ben Johnson or Eagles OC Brian Johnson as examples.

Stroud is probably a lock for OROTY and is in the conversation for MVP. Ryans might win coach of the year but that probably goes to Campbell if the Lions win their division. -
Another frustrating loss I haven't seen mentioned was the 1979 opener against the Dolphins. Lost 9-7 and the Bills missed FG to win it. If it wasn't for the fact that Miami had 18 straight wins against the Bills at that point it would be just another opening day regular season loss. This loss extended the streak to 19 and just added to the Bills fans misery.

Sunday's look. Jets in white jersey with pants "TBA" and Bills in blue jerseys with pants "TBA". At least it won't be the ugly all reds. It will either be blue over white or all blues.
-
Breece hasn't been all that great lately. That is probably because their OL is in shambles. Outside of G. Wilson their WR's are "meh". This has 16-13 written all over it. We must win this game. The thought of being swept by a Zach Wilson led team is too embarrassing. Sabres 16 Islanders 13.

Any coaches in college besides Harbaugh that could be a good fit for the Bills?
-
DeMeco Ryans and the Texans is proof of this.

When he has had an elite level franchise QB the record speaks for itself. 9 Super Bowl appearances with 6 Super Bowl championships. He also wouldn't be getting outcoached by likes of Reid and Taylor in the playoffs.

We need to save Josh Allen by any means necessary (the fire is gone)
Gregg replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
That is one defense he never has fun against. At least in recent matchups. -
He has been here 7 years I wouldn't call the fans reaction to McDermott "knee jerk".

Fair point on the locker room as the D is playing hard. But something has to change. They look unorganized out there in critical moments. Take the Giants game for example. If the Giants score right before halftime or even at the end of the game, then that goes down as the worst loss of the season. The Bucs game with the hail mary. I think it was Evans but if he looks up a second earlier then there is a good chance, he catches it. He was open in the end zone on hail mary. Then you have the playoff losses overall and being winless on the road in the playoffs, 13 seconds. Something has to change. The biggest thing here is Allen's play is declining. The most important player on the team and face of the franchise is declining. If Brady can't turn Allen around, then what???
-
Depends. If this season continues to go down the toilet. If players voice their displeasure, you know Beane and Pegula will know about it. As far as McDermott's new contract goes. That is pocket money to Terry. That won't stop him from firing him especially if he has lost the locker room.

I would add Eagles OC Brian Johnson as well. That Eagles O is pretty good. We will have the Buffalo Tush Push.
