Do the Dems?

Dorsey should have been gone after the Giants game. IMHO.

The new stadium will buy them a year as far as attendance goes. At that time, it will have been 53 years since a new stadium was built in OP. Fans are going to be curious to check the place out. See what it's like to watch a game there. Check out the concourse, bars, shops, bathrooms and anything else the new stadium offers. But once the "newness" of the place wears off then they better have a winning team at the prices they will charge.

He does have a Super Bowl championship on his resume. That buys you a lot of time with ownership. Plus, the Steelers have been very competitive with Tomlin as the HC. Kind of amazing when you think of the Steelers coaching success. Chuck Noll 1969-1991. Bill Cowher 1992-2006, Mike Tomlin 2007 to the present day. Only three coaches since 1969. Of course, 6 Super Bowl wins and 8 Super Bowl appearances along with mostly winning seasons makes the Rooney family very happy.

Week 15 2023 flex alert: PHL-SEA to MNF plus Saturday games announced
Gregg replied to chongli's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think the NFL does this every year once the college football season is done. -
1. Owners eat contracts all the time. So, nothing new there. 2. Beane would be leading the charge. This thought they are a package deal isn't true. Terry can do whatever he wants. If he wants to keep one of them, he will. 3. Multi-billionare owner who owns a cash cow with the Bills can afford it. 4. See #2 5. Agree. that happens all the time in sports. Nothing new here if a new coach is brought in. Some changes need to be made anyway as their will be a reload, retooling of the roster. 6. Only if Beane is gone. If a new GM is coming in however then they are already up to speed on this stuff. He would just have to apply it to the Bills needs. 7. I wish Kim a full recovery and you know Terry is making sure Kim has the best doctors, nurses, medical staff with her 24-7-365 all the while being a supporting husband. 8. The new stadium may cost him more. So, what. Look at what he bought the Bills for and look at what they worth now and will be in the future. Owning an NFL team = owning a cash cow. Bottom line the Pegula's will be making more money with the Bills going forward. Not as hard as you think.

It's been mentioned on this board many times but good luck to Terry selling tickets at the new stadium with raised ticket prices and PSL fees. He won't have a problem doing that with a team on the decline. Maybe not this year but if the 2024 season goes south then both Beane and McDermott will be on the hot seat.

Saban #1. Only coach to win it all with back-to-back AFL championships in 64 and 65. Levy #2. Four straight Super Bowl appearances. Shame they couldn't win one. At best McDermott is #3. Honorable mention to Chuck Knox. He didn't have the QB or team frankly that McDermott has but had good runs in 80 and 81.

What if Saleh gets fired by the Jets. He was a pretty good DC with SF. Any interest in bringing him to Buffalo if that happens.
-
I have already seen reports from news media linking him to the Bears and Panthers as teams who will be interested in him as HC. At the very least he should have an opportunity to go back to the NFL if he wants to.
-
Agreed. If he wants to be the GM, then forget it. HC and run the defense then sign me up.
-
If McDermott got fired and Beane stayed, then I don't think we would have to worry about how he would work with the next HC. Beane would be the one leading search and recommending to Terry this is the guy. The new coach's philosophy would be in line with Beane's so they would work well together.
-
Pegula is the owner. If he GAVE all the power to McDermott, then he could just as easily take it back. He doesn't have to regret anything just fix it.
-
That goes for every team in every sport. We don't know who will or won't be available as far as potential coaches go until after the season. McDermott did a good job getting the franchise turned around, but it is fair to question if he can get the Bills to a Super Bowl. So far what we have seen the answer is NO. I don't want to keep watching McDermott fail just because the Bills may or may not finding a better coach. The bar is raised for this franchise with #17. I have mentioned this in other threads but if Belichick and the Pats part ways I would love to see Bill coaching in Orchard Park. PROVEN WINNER with an elite level QB as well as a much better DC than McDermott.
-
Perfectly said when describing McDermott.

If by talk you mean BS, then I agree. Too bad Nancy's little nephew sucks at being Governor. See SF as one example of that.

Wasn't he Louis in Revenge of the Nerds.

Then Terry can enjoy sparse crowds at home games. Don't think it can happen. Look at attendance in the 1970's and 84 and 85 seasons.
