Calling it now: Bills are going to at least reach the AFCCG
Gregg replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
The only one I disagree with you on is the Cowboys. Dallas isn't the same team on the road that they are at home. I would say the Bills chances of winning that one is around 55%. I give the Bills a slight edge being they are home. Otherwise, I agree with your odds. McDermott has never won a road playoff game. 0-4. Jags, Texans, Chiefs (2). I wouldn't call for a playoff run with this coach and the fact that if the Bills do get in, they won't get any home games. -
Week 14, Bills v. Chefs - Predict the Score

28-26 Bills with 5 seconds left in the 4th quarter. The Chiefs have the ball 1st and 10 at their own 1 with no timeouts. Chiefs march into Bills territory and win it on a FG as time expires. Chiefs 29 Bills 28. -

The offense does look a lot better with Brady. Of course, the defense still doesn't make a big stop in critical moments and McDermott's game day management is shaky. I will say this if (ITS A BIG IF) they win the next 2 then running the table is very realistic. I realize the Bills have choked against bad teams this year, but Josh seems to be back to his elite level playing style running Brady's offense. For now, it is a long shot with the Chiefs and Cowboys coming up. -

I mentioned this in the can the Bills go 5-0 thread. The next 2 weeks will tell the story. I do think the Bills will beat the Chargers, Pats, and Dolphins. It's these next 2 weeks where I see a potential loss. Win these next 2 and you might be right. At the very least I think they make the playoffs if they beat the Chiefs and Cowboys. I don't know about a playoff run as the Bills are winless on the road in the playoffs with McDermott. -

Even if they are back, they might not be 100%. -
It would be nice to hear from Terry, but I know that won't happen. Maybe after the season but even then, it will probably be just Beane and McDermott doing end of season press conferences. McDermott probably will be back next year but if things go south in 2024 then I think you will see a coaching change.

I hope that Beane stops listening to McDermott when drafting

Beane is the GM so I would think he has the final say on who the Bills pick. -

Chiefs defense is going into this game banged up. They suffered some key injuries at GB. I think they are down to #3 on the depth chart at MLB. This game could be like the Philly game and be 37-34. Maybe we will end up the right side of the scoreboard this time. -

They gave a great effort in Philly as well. -
Any word on the injury to Trevor. Haven't heard how much time he will miss. It didn't look good.

Mahomes has a few things in his favor over Allen. He has a much better HC and coaching staff in general. A much better OL. The best TE in football. For a while a great WR in Tyreek Hill when he was there. His defense knows how to get critical stops in big games. Allen's D can't protect a 3-point lead with 13 left and the other team starting at their 25. Talent, wise I think Mahomes and Allen are equal, but he is considered the best because of those two Lombardi trophies while Allen has none.
