Maybe the reason why you're miserable has nothing to do with the fact that it was a night game. One would think that had we won a well fought game that no one would be miserable. Just sayin'.

C'mon Man, Past the doom and gloom. Give Your Game Balls.
PBF81 replied to Comebackkid's topic in The Stadium Wall
AGREED! And Davis should also be made to buy his own meals before next game, and needs to be forced to sit alone at the kids' table too! -
It's going to be interesting to be sure. But seriously, discussing making the playoffs when it's questionable whether we'll even post a winning record is premature. So, when do the "new and improved" season tickets with PSLs go on sale? That will be interesting too.

Is 10 Wins enough to make the playoffs? What is the path to 10 wins?
PBF81 replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
The path is lots of luck at this point. Maybe Andy Dalton can help us out. -
Denver played very well vs. the Chiefs. Their O and D both played well against them. They've had two weeks to prepare for us. We don't seem to prepare, so it should be an interesting game. You really think that after 7 seasons McD's going to change philosophies? The one he brought with him hasn't worked out effectively. Should have been an easy layup in Foxboro too.

Letting Josh coach himself was the incorrect decision
PBF81 replied to Sharky7337's topic in The Stadium Wall
Makes one wonder who's actually in charge. The old adage, "it starts at the top" comes to mind. Such lack of leadership surrounding the single most important and highest paid part of the team is reprehensible. -
Letting Josh coach himself was the incorrect decision

Your question seems to answer itself. We have a head coach that admittedly has no idea what's wrong much less how to correct it. This, while we have the best QB in franchise history rotting away, one of the top few QBs in the league, and a generational talent. The tragedy is that he's actually regressing. If the answer to the question isn't obvious by now, I'm not sure that it ever will be until the media narrative forces popular opinion to cascade. There's definitely very little coaching leadership evident. -
Welp, McD's admitted that he has no answers and doesn't even know what's wrong. Yet, there's still some confusion out there what the core problem really is. SMH. Fortunately it's becoming more and more obvious now every week. Yeah, some like me refer to it as an established trend and pattern. LOL.

Von Miller was a "win now" signing, ... last season. Well, we didn't "win now" then, now we're realizing the risks associated with that incredibly risky contract. Those risks are highly damaging. Beane should be held accountable for that.
-
Our offense has little if any creativity or imagination, less than I recall ever having seen, particularly given the pool of available talent. Given the franchise circumstances at this point in time, that's tragic. On the GM side, next season Beane's going to have an awful lot of cap tied up on Von & Knox. It would seem that we've come full circle there, which is on Beane. On the coaching side, call it crazy, but it seems that it's prescient when a coach says in a forlorn manner, "I wish I knew what was wrong, I really do."

Dorsey never should have been given the job. That's like handing the keys to a Formula 1 car to a racer that just made the move from the amateurs.
-
Can't, there's no one else out there that was in Carolina with him. McD's hands are tied on this one.
-
8 carries for 24 yards by our RBs (Cook & Murray) against a bottom dwelling rushing defense. SMH
-
That would entail protecting and providing for your generational talented QB. We can't have that.
-
He didn't even post an assisted tackle. Nothing. No stat line. Even Joseph and Douglas had a couple of tackles each.
-
He takes up a ton of cap space. Beane took a risk and it didn't pan out the way he'd hoped.
-
McD's the one that picked Dorsey. He's the only choice, there are no other people that can reasonably installed at OC that were with McD in Carolina. So our hands are tied on this one.
-
Nah, we were just talking about how our 2nd worst yardage performance and third worst scoring performance and 23 minutes time-of-possession against a defense like Cincy's was really a glass half full kinda thing.
-
It really is disappointing. So much potential and so much dysfunction. It's bewildering.
-
There's major dysfunction. The center of it is the center of it.
-
IDK, not sure how we get past teams like @Dallas, @Philly, @Miami even, KC at home. The Jets and NE already beat us, I wouldn't bet on us taking both of the other two. Even Denver will be a challenge. That should have been a gimme.
-
4-4 will put us at 9-8, and we'd be lucky to win 4 games with the schedule that we have.
-
If we play like this the rest of the season, who would reasonably expect a winning record.
-
Hence the context I provided.
