OK Follow-up question then in that case, does your not reading all but a snippet of the article qualify you (and others that haven't read it) to intelligently and accurately comment on it given the extreme amounts of disinformation being put out against Dunne in the same manner that those complaining about it being put out against McD are complaining about? I do think that you will end up getting much more clarity on the situation than you're prepared to get by the end of the season or shortly thereafter. We shall see. The human nature/behavior aspect of this entire thread is absolutely fascinating.

Well, perhaps not directly, but he's the only offensive player that openly went on record, indirectly then. Way too much of this 9/11 thing is being made in this. Sure, it was a glaring lack of judgement and gauche to be sure, but that's just a small fraction of far more relevant content in that series by Dunne. Agree with you however!

The title of that piece alone corroborates what's being said about him. The content of it does nothing to alter it. It's not a strong defense piece. Again, did you actually read the piece? If not I'd encourage you to do so. It will explain that piece to you. McD coming out and saying that all the players have defended him [behind closed doors] is a whole helluva lot different than Allen, Diggs, and a bunch of offensive players independently making public statements. The reality is that that piece actually reinforces what's in Dunne's piece, in spades in fact. If you haven't read it, drop the $8 and read it, it will be worth the much time it takes to read it.

It's interesting that you say that, there's still a third of the season to go. This whole thing is far from over. Bet big money that much more comes to light between now and shortly after the season ends. My big thing at the moment for those claiming "hit piece," is where are all of the offensive players, particularly Allen & Diggs, defending McD independently and not in a group statement. That silence is deafening. Seems that what's really occurring is that much that has been hidden is being exposed, not only via Dunne's piece. Here's the thing, McD can gracefully acknowledge his shortcomings and go more with the flow, or what's forthcoming is going to happen. A huge part of the problem is that he doesn't understand many of these interactions. At the rate this is going he's making hiring him after this far more difficult on himself.

At the same time, the only (few too) players that have independently defended him, have been on the defensive side of the ball. And Hyde's a DB too, one of the first brought on by McD whose love is the Secondary. His support should have been expected. I'm awaiting the supportive comments from the offensive players. And Allen's silence is hardly inconspicuous, particularly given the supposed gap in any type of relationship between the two, personal or professional. Diggs too, who's clearly aligned with Allen. How about some of the offensive coaches? Where's this massive thrust of support, it isn't there. I'm not a big fan of sports media, I draw my own conclusions and only read local/regional stuff related to the Bills. But a Cowherd brief came up on my phone and I listened to it, and he's right, when players and coaches cannot approach their head coach, ultimately they'll end up going to the media. As Bills fans we should be happy that so many of them actually care about winning before they leave here while leaving the place undesireable for free-agents due to the head coach. And honestly, it's now no secret that McD was PO'd when the WRs gave Hall a truck for Christmas? Do you defend that behavior by McD? For just one point even. Is that a good trait, a consistent trait for what he preaches, for a head coach? Your thoughts on that? Seems to me that should bother everyone.

That's fine, but then at the same time I fail to see how such morally oriented people feel so free to comment on his work, considering that 90-some percent of it is behind the paywall, and discuss his motives in compiling the piece, which obviously took many months and wasn't written in a week as so many of those "forthright" people have speculated. If the coach were Jauron back in the day and the topic was the opposite, some writer working up a great piece about what a competent coach he is and great guy, how do you think those same people that refused to read something that they feel fully qualified to comment on would say/do re: that. (rhetorical) Patronize, don't patronize, but when the reason is pure emotion, it's terminally disingenuous to do what they claim he's doing to McD, despite a mountain of evidence much of it well known publicly, to him.

It'll be interesting to see where the foreign interest is when they have their own team rather than seeing two established teams play in a particular city one or twice a year. Will they sell out like they do if they have a mediocre team. They probably would given how the game/league is geared towards corporate interests these days. Yeah, it was maybe seven or eight years ago I think that the league said it would have its first international team by '22 or '23, around now. I can't recall if they said it would be England or what.

I'm happy to answer that via PMs. I'm not sure I should post much more in the forum. I've posted a lot in responding to others. I try to never be a wise guy. LOL I'm genuinely interested in sincere, substantive, and objective discussions. I'm not a "see I told you so" type and I go out of my way to not gloat or the like. I don't see why that's necessary and all it does is invite ad hominems.
