I'm hardly one for hammering people that were wrong, much less touting myself, but given your comment I'll stand up for myself and say that I predicted all of this, so it's also hardly a baseless bias. You too and everyone else will be finding out more as time passes, just as we already have. Your insinuation, implicitly, that Dunne is lying about his sources and interviews is ridiculous. And when he's posted favorable things here, everyone applauds. The most biased people in the mix are the handful and extreme minority that are still backing McD, who's done enough all by himself via his own statements to validate that he's in over his head. Either way, I'd prefer it if you'd stick to the discussion rather than go down the path of ad hominem. I don't do that to you or anyone else, please don't do it to me.

I'll disagree. In reading between the lines of the last six seasons, and remembering how futile our offense was in the first three from 2017 to 2019, worse than all of his predecessors prior going back to 2011, and with Allen at the helm instead of Fitzpatrick, Manuel, Orton and Taylor, the latter of which McD got less from, by nearly a TD/game, than Ryan did, and Ryan was hardly a genius much less an offensive genius either; and considering that there were already "hotseat" conversations back in 2019 before Allen exploded, having all but nothing to do with McD, it all makes perfect sense. McD apologists and supporters bury their heads in the sand over his blatant avoidance of any real responsibility over how poorly but more importantly, inconsistently, his team plays. Anywhere else in the league and it's the head coach's issue. Here in Buffalo because of the "got us to the playoffs" thing, he's almost attained a god-like status that hasn't been earned given his sheer and utter underperformance in the playoffs. If you read the pieces, it says what others including myself have pointed out over time, that, he's not a bad guy in the normal sense, but his methodologies drive people away, despite his good intentions. The thing in the piece that resonates with me and no doubt many others, is that several people that Dunne claims to have interviewed, have expressed that the team needs to overcome McD rather than him contributing to the team's on-field success. That sentiment has been expressed here in these forums with no uncertainty by any number of people over time, so that's hardly a reach in terms of being factual. It's actually a reach thinking the opposite. But it's not possible that a strong-willed person like McD would double down on his methodologies?

It stands to reason that's what McD means when he says "complimentary football." It's likely his way of saying that the offense supports the defense, in a nutshell. It's also corroborates Dunne's conclusions. This is all going to come out over time. We'll see. It almost always does. And Dorsey's not going to sit still in interviews and continue to take the heat for McD when his future employment is on the line and McD wasn't loyal to him. Why do you think that McDimwit endorsed Dorsey? Likely because he toed the "complimentary football" line. It's going to be very interesting to see what happens with Brady, particularly now that the vast majority of fans want McD gone and the vast majority of the media back that notion. We tend to play well for a few games with a renewed energy, as in the past two games with Brady. Brady's going to have his hands full with the Chiefs' D on Sunday, which has yet not allowed more than 21 offensive points this season at home, and that only once, 17 once after that, and 14 twice tops otherwise. McD's effectively run out of people to blame and his own flaws are now being fully exposed. He's doing quite the job of making the most out of the rope that he's provided himself with. It's a little surprising how quickly and decisively he got to this point, but the outcome was easily predictable.

It's rhetorical, but anyone that isn't in a state of denial fully realizes that McDoesn'tKnow doesn't know offense, and that if it ever came down to a popularity contest between him and Allen, he wouldn't stand a chance, in any way, shape, or form. It's also my position that the reason why he won't hire a noted OC capable of making this offense run on all 8 cylinders optimally, is that he doesn't want to be replaced by that person after his defenses continue to fail us in the playoffs while the offense shines. That position is very much in line with this piece by Dunne. And BTW, Dunne is typically incredibly well researched. He doesn't just float garbage for clicks as some have speculated. Either way and no matter how much it's discussed and dissected, it's a dysfunctional mess right now. McD came first. Then Allen. McD wouldn't even be here right now had Allen not skyrocketed in terms of performance in 2020. He was already taking "hotseat" heat after 2019 and out playoffs debacle there. Had Allen been here before McD was, not a chance that McD would have landed the job. And now this nonsense with Von Miller. As O'Halloran said in his piece, Pegula just fired two people for having a sincere and normal relationship with one another within the organization. But he's endorsing Von Miller playing. The hypocrisy reeks. That befalls McD and his "character" mantra as well. He's a dead-man walking, it's just a matter of how long Pegs keeps him around. Beane's in no position to fire him on his own. He'll likely be the one that delivers the pink-slip, but he's not going to stab the guy that gave him the job under the unlikeliest of circumstances.

I think that McDoesn'tKnow lucked into Allen, is the one that chose Dorsey, both back then and to succeed Daboll, etc. I know that it's his team. We know that he's never come clean on who was responsible for "13 Seconds," has never defined his precious "Process," and generally has admitted that he's clueless as to what's wrong with his own team. Now, what was that you were saying about Dorsey?

Yeah, this was pretty obvious before the season started. It was also just a matter of time before this came out. McD's increasingly running out of scapegoats. Our franchise really doesn't need this.

Adding to what you said, what makes it difficult to take in, is watching a dirt-track race car driver being handed a state-of-the-art Formula One car, and not having any idea how to handle it. Then losing races when he should be winning. This consistent underachievement is a morale killer.

The Sabres are going on their 13th playoffs-less season. They have to be well into record territory in that way. IDK as I don't follow hockey.

What, Allen's going to be a 12th-ranked QB? LOL, not a chance. As it has been posed in the past, McD's arrival preceded Allen's. Had Allen been here first, what are the odds that someone making the decision on which coach to hire, would have put McD on the short list? That seems incredibly unlikely as he's a bad fit for that. That's interesting, thanks! I've always wondered why they didn't try harder. From a fan perspective my thought was always, "he's getting paid so much, hustle it out." So that makes sense.

Just look at the Super Bowl and what it's become. It's not for true football fans, it's a pop-culture extravaganza. Unless you're really into the two teams playing, and how often is that, for me it's not even watchable anymore. It's more like a circus than a football game. I think I've seen one Super Bowl over the past five seasons or so. And when I do watch, the moment that the first half ends, I turn the TV off, set a timer for 30 minutes, and then come back after all that crap is past. LOL Someone should put a poll up, if the Bills weren't in the NFL, would they watch any games. I wouldn't, or very rarely anyway. I'm weird though, I enjoy AAA baseball more than I enjoy MLB.
