  1. Hasn't it been that long up there?
  2. To cold for mud.
  3. The question is how many fans can get there.
  4. Anyone going to meet 'em at the airport? ... I kid, I kid!!
  5. Our last home game was New England where we needed a defensive TD to beat the Pats and avoid going 0-2 against one of the worst teams in the league. That doesn't exactly scream out that we're hot at home right now.
  6. No, but he's in the last year of his contract. No word yet that they're bringing him back. At least not as far as I've read. Maybe they're seeing how this postseason ends. Who knows except their owners/GM.
  7. ... and possibly Tomlin's last season/game.
  8. Blue! No, y.. AHHHHH!!
  9. Seems as if the game will be able to be played pending this field-hardness thing. Not sure how many fans would be there however. The roads should be passable, but parking and snow inside the stadium are questionable.
  10. LOL Nearly half a century. Animal House, Caddy Shack, Blazing Saddles are timeless.
  11. I'm tellin' ya, this talk of flying to Rochester etc., it would take far less time to simply drive from Pittsburgh to Buffalo. In the meantime, the Steelers actually have an advantage since their players can get to their practice facility, so I don't want to hear any crying from them when they're discussing why they lost.
  12. You know how fans of winning dynasties get, they always develop an unhealthy entitlement mentality.
  13. Well, among the accolades for Allen when we drafted him was his familiarity with windy cold weather games. It's showtime, let's get it on tomorrow!! If we can't win then we can discuss that afterwards. GO BILLS!!!
  14. Anyone in the stadium area that can say how much snow is on the ground there right now?
  15. I detinitely wouldn't want to much less choose to drive through that. Hello homemade wings, snacks, and TV. Imagine throwing a football in that though. LOL It's supposed to. Even if it snows, as it likely will, the winds will only be around 20. Typical, nothing horrendous, even for Pittsburgh. It's a good bet that the game will go on, the question is how many fans will be in the seats.
  16. I read by some official source that the league wanted to move the game to Atlanta but that Hochul had to push back and suggest that Monday in Buffalo would be better. Gotta actually respect her for that. I can definitely see the league pushing for neutral sites however, which might actually help us a team since so many of us no longer live in Buffalo. Not that it wouldn't be in Buffalo, but we might have an advantage for the neutral site thing over other teams. Having said that I for one am not in favor of it. Simply manage these weather situations better. From the few places I'm reading weather-wise, it seems that it's going to let up as we approach the evening with on/off snow between now and tomorrow, even during the game, but winds on/around 20 mph or so, which is a pretty normal January day in WNY. Doesn't seem as if playing is going to be an issue. And the Steelers should be able to fly or bus out tonight to get to Buffalo, and even if they practice there by come here tomorrow morning early it should be fine. It's a "subway series" flight kinda thing, not a west coast game. Hell, it's an assent/decent/approach flight. As to the stadium itself, Not sure how much snow is down, but last year for the Miami game I seem to recall about a foot, maybe a little bit more, that they didn't remove. It was under everyone's feet in the stands. No one sits anyway. We should have more clarity by halftime of the Packers/Cowboys game and I'm sure they'll be keeping everyone up to date.
  17. And does it really take any more time. Ya gotta drive to the airport, check-in, board, prolly delays of some sort, get off, wait for your baggage (although maybe that's done for them) then get on a bus anyway and head for the hotel. Not too mention trying to land in those winds. Just sayin' ...
  18. The two better teams advanced today.
  19. The thought of playing in that ... LOL
  20. I relish the thought of KC finally having to come to Buffalo. I think of that KC playoff game for the '91 season. I suspect we'd have a repeat. Houston has a better chance of beating Baltimore as well IMO.
  21. It's gonna be a lot more difficult for Wilkins to get a hold of anyone's balls.
  22. Yeah, maybe. All I'm saying is that Rudolph is 8-4 with the Steelers, this is the first time he's got a decent team to work with. If his passing continues on anywhere near where it is now, they'd be nuts to not try him in the role next season.
  23. No doubt. We're way past the original context however. My point was that the strategy for the game changes. Nothing more. I never meant to insinuate that the players don't care, don't get up, etc.
