  1. Well, if 3 in 4 renew, that'd be 75% of 70k or so, or 53k. Figure then that 3 in 4 on the waiting list are still interested, they'll have nearly sold out based on that. As Kirby Jackson says, may simply be a vocal minority. My view stems from just a handful, maybe 6-8 people that I know that currently have STs. Only one says he'll pay more to attend games, didn't even mention the section. The others have expressed that they've been turned off by the rising prices as it's been, but they're at their limits cost wise. Who knows, maybe they'll change their tune. One interesting tidbit however in discussing with them, is them realizing that Allen's not going to be here forever, and that's a big part of it because none of them would think about paying the current asking prices if Allen weren't here now. I guess I'm simply associated with that vocal minority, even though I don't think that they've been vocal. LOL
  2. I think we'll have a clearer picture by the end of summer. It's interesting to watch unfold I must say. One thing's for sure, I'm always skeptical of "official numbers" for just about anything where something is being sold. LOL Reminds me of this ...
  3. I was more referring to people in the clubs or lower level that would pay the same but have to move to the uppers for example. In short, what does what someone is paying now, get them in the new arena. Of the relatively small number of people that I know, most are average Bills fans, none live elsewhere and fly in regularly for games for example. LOL They live in the region, have moderate incomes, etc. From what they're told me, and what a bunch of people have said here over the past year or two, is that they're at the limits of what they're willing to pay. They swallow the annual price increases with some "kicking of the dog," but they've said that if the prices go up much more they're out. Those are the ones that I'm talking about. What are face value for lower level sideline tix right now what, $200/game? IDK, seriously asking. So say $1,600 per seat. That amount may get them mezzanine level corners or lower level end-zones, but according to them they're not willing to pay that much for those seats. On top of that there's the approx. $3-5k PSL which is more than they've told me they're willing to pay. Maybe the percentage of people that I know with STs aren't a good cross section, who knows. As stated, it is definitely going to get interesting. I see some consternation and resentment down the road. I'm so glad that I only do secondary market tix anymore. LOL
  4. Yeah, and it seems to be getting more interesting now. As to people downgrading, there have been a ton of comments about people saying that they're not downgrading for more money. Again, simply sharing what we're reading, who knows, could all be smoke, but I'm not as convinced as you are that they'll sell out so easily. Good thing they're doing this now while Allen's at the top of his game. LOL
  5. According to their survey, they had the Lower Bowl between the '40s, no heat or coverage obviously, at $9k and the seat prices at $2,280, or just under $300/game. It seems as if there's been price inflation since they released their survey about two years ago, so $10k sounds about right. It's a good guess that the tix are up over $300/game now too.
  6. Not taking sides here, but official reports had only several hundred people coming through to date. Obviously they're the high-level moneybags. It's certainly curious whether the next level of tix shares the same level of success as their stated 75%, if that's even true. What we do know is that even here many fans have expressed that they're not going to renew, many with the simple price increases but most with the PSLs and clearly notably higher prices. Here's the thing, many of the non-moneybags buy STs because they're a good deal here in Buffalo, soon to be not so good a deal. I hear what you're saying, and frankly, I don't understand all the derision and strife here among posters for what should be a simple honest discussion, that they'll sell out easily. But more fans here even have said that they're not going to be paying PSLs and notably higher prices in the new stadium, also elsewhere. And again, of the handful of STHs that I know, few are planning on paying those PSLs and prices, whatever they are, understanding that they'll be significantly higher than they are now. Maybe they weren't telling the truth, who knows. But taking them at face value ... So while I understand what you're saying, if all of those people are telling the truth, what are the odds that there are so many ready to backfill behind them that don't hold similar views? Otherwise, where are the people that will sell the place out in STs going to come from? Before anyone gets their panties in a wad, I'm seriously asking here, rhetorically apparently, but maybe you know from experience. I'm going by the prevailing winds however, which seemingly strongly suggest that they're going to have difficulties selling once they get out of the high-fallutin' moneybag sections and clubs. Many will "downgrade," I understand that, but many have also said that they're not going to downgrade (sections) if there's no heat/coverage. That's why this is so interesting and fascinating as to how it plays out.
  7. So Allen not working harder during the offseason, which even I won't dispute, then equals him being the reasons for our playoff losses. Sure. OK. SMH Discussing this with you is like playing whack-a-mole in terms of what the particular focus of the discussion is. Sorry, but there's no "hero worship," but blaming Allen when he's been the only reason why we've even won any playoff games, besides possibly one, is absurd.
  8. That's a ridiculous statement. Claiming that Allen's among what is holding us back ... SMH LOL Allen damn near best the Chiefs in '21 by himself.
  9. Agree, it's complex. That overlaps with my comment. That fear of losing their seats, it's not reasonable that everyone thinks they're going to get pretty much exactly the same seats because the new stadium will be so much different. That's not even a possibility. It's obvious. As to why they're doing it this way, that's immaterial. It is what it is, but that doesn't make it "fair" or ethical. When I said "menu", by no means did I mean then opening it up to a free-for-all in sales, but simply post the varying PSL/ST process for all to see so that people can prepare. There has to be some process to keep it under control. Not saying that's entirely practical either. It seems that people want to know, when their "turn" comes up, we want to be in (this, this, or that) section, what do you have there? kinda thing, and based upon what they can afford without being pressured into spending more than they were prepared to spend. We'll see, I'm still expecting much more drama. Personally I don't care, I'm not paying for a PSL nor buying Seasons, so it doesn't really apply to me. I do know quite a few fans that have been STHs who've told me that they're out now, and there's no shortage of them here either saying the same. It should be interesting.
  10. I'm not deeply involved in this conversation, although I read up on it here, but from reading here and elsewhere like the BuffNews, Facebook, etc., it seems that the biggest issue among fans is that they want the pricing structure like a menu, to be able to see what they can afford and attempt to get the best seats for them that fit within that pricing structure, if at all. The "problem" appears to be that the team is only going to release a level or two at a time down the chart. The problem that this presents is that people seem to be afraid that they're going to get pressured into seats/STs that may not be what they'd have chosen had they known all the options. That's reasonable. It's one thing to only open up sales for certain sections. It's quite another to hide the pricing info from fans as they go through the process, and it's viewed as high-pressure sales, which of course it is. Who can or wants to pay for it has nothing to do with it, which will work itself out. It's going to be quite interesting to see how this all shakes out once the more reasonably priced tix & PSLs start going on sale. I could be entirely wrong, that's just my read for a large part of it.
  11. This is why this place is FUBAR so often. Here's the exact string. You made the following comment, my/your/my/your/etc. responses are in order. This was your first/original comment to which I made my comment: My response (and correcting the spell-check for Diggs): Yours: Mine: My point with that last one was that the original conversation before you entered into it, was about playoff performances of players. IOW, the context was playoffs, and you put it in the context of Regular Season. To which I responded pointing out that the context was playoffs, and with the underlying well-known understanding that it's not our regular seasons that have been issue-laden, it's our playoffs, with the point otherwise being, and given your criticism of a rookie WR in his first NFL games, was that we should be so lucky to get a WR like Rice late in round 2. Your hounding me out-of-context is the most predictable thing here. Otherwise, if you want to talk about a WR, in this case Rice, in the playoffs, 26 catches for 262 Yards and a TD in four playoff games, as a rookie, is more than any rookie WR of ours, besides Davis, has put up in any four playoff games over the past three postseasons. It's more yards in the playoffs than any other WR we have on our roster has put up in postseason play as well. So when we draft a WR that does that as a rookie, shake me awake. So yeah, it'd be a great thing to land a WR late in round 2 that could do that, at least I think so. Apparently you disagree and think we're doing a better job of finding WRs at rookie pricing/contracts. So I suppose that we'll simply have to agree to disagree. I'm fine with that. Keep in mind that I'm making zero mention of his off-field issue here, merely his onfield performance. We're finished here. At least I am.
  12. I'm a little confused at what your overall point is. I argued that we haven't lost a playoff game because of Allen. You then threw up what presumably were counterexamples, which I considered to be weak. This last statement of yours seems to be in agreement with the original point.
  13. So that one thing makes Josh the reason as to why we haven't beaten anything but crap teams in the playoffs his fault then? Well, OK. I suppose if that's how you view it. Which game/play are we talking about by the way? I guess we'll have to move on to a QB that never misses a pass and one that runs with a little more pizazz than Allen.
  14. That's fine, but that's an extremely weak answer to the fact that I posited and does not address it directly. It also fringes on the play-calling, aka coaching, even if only the offensive side, which some would argue stems from the top-down in terms of what you mentioned. And in arguing differently, at some point then it would be quite reasonable to begin asking whether our HC is in control of the entire team, or not, or merely the D and even then not in every key situation. Just sayin'.
  15. Of course not. I'm curious how that impacts the comments that I made about his '21 season playoffs. Maybe instead of a comment like that, point out how much you'd like him to improve from posting two games with the following stat lines: 308 Passing Yards, 5 Passing TDs, 157.6 Rating, 6 Carries for 66 Rushing Yards 329 Passing Yards, 4 Passing TDs, 136.0 Rating, 11 Carries for 68 Rushing Yards In the other games, maybe point out where he failed while the rest of the team stepped up. Let's stay focused here instead of going off on tangents having little if anything to do with the original point. There's not a playoff game that we've played where anyone, national media, Bills fans, non-Bills fans, etc. can honestly say that we lost because of Allen with most much less all of the rest of the team having played a great game. Once again, that points to something beyond merely Allen as to why we do not advance.
  16. Pssssst. We were talking playoffs. Pssssst. Once the postseason hits, the regular season counts for nothing. (You are entirely predictable)
  17. And Mahomes had Hill & Kelce, arguably the two best at their positions then, and a vastly Superior OL. Name one playoff game where Josh threw an INT that was his fault that cost us the game?
  18. As a rookie. It'd be nice if we'd draft a WR late in round 2 about where our 60th pick is this year, that would put up 577 yards and 4 TDs in the second half of his rookie year. At that rate he'll be as productive as Diggs has been for us.
  19. Great point! And how much better can he be expected to play in the playoffs generally speaking than he did in the '21 season. He essentially played two perfect games. Unfortunately few of his teammates, definitely not enough of them, show up in the playoffs, particularly on the defensive side. Consider, if he played phenomenally, which he did, and led us to 36 points in regulation, them what does it say for a D that did the same on the other side in allowing the opponent to post one of its top-3 best games of the season in doing the same. It's likely be would have won one in '21, it was our own poor and idiotic decision making that undermined that. Sometimes you are unfairly credited with things that aren't your fault. People will draw the conclusions that fit their personal team narratives. Yet, there are reasons as to why we can't advance in the playoffs.
  20. It really is. Miami's program isn't even a thing anymore. Kinda sad.
  21. Wow, just took a look. Nice catch! Bama was like that for a bunch of years a while back too.
  22. LMAO You nailed that!
  23. Are you nuts, criticizing McD as if he has anything to do with it. You should know better by now. As to the statement is a ridiculous one. He says that as if it was a big mystery what playing a "soft zone" (or whatever) would allow Mahomes/Hill/Kelce do. Is his answer the same as to why they played 10+ yards of the LoS against Cincy in short-yardage situations too. Yeah, we played a two-man front and everyone else was in the end zone, he was able to run it in. No one was really to blame. Of course no one was to blame, we won't find out what really happened for years. All we know is that the guy at the top of the pyramid has nothing to do with it. LOL SMH
  24. That's a pretty sweeping statement. What, total as backups, role-players, ST-ers, etc.?
  25. That's dated two years ago. According to reports they're already well over that. The Survey is all we have to go on for now but if I recall correctly the lower PSLs were $900/$1,000. Mostly upper EZs and corners. Remember, the new stadium will be about the same height all the way around unlike the corner one. So when they say Upper EZs they mean same height as our current UDs. I also don't recall any of those having heat although some may have cover. Doesn't matter what you say, critics will disregard any context and argue based upon what they want your position to be. 🤔😁
