  1. How are you arriving at all of these things teams are going to throw at us for players in the last year of their contracts, injured aged players, and otherwise simply suck. (Epenesa) I mean why not throw in a fruit basket for another 2nd or 3rd-round pick from some team as well. I'm tellin' ya! 😆 Logic? Regarding the OL? I think that's in McD's and Beane's contracts, they're not allowed to apply logic when planning ..., LOL @ "planning," for the OL. It's probably in there that they're not allowed to devote more than 10% of team resources towards the OL, as it's unnecessary. We have Allen. I don't even know why we have any RBs on the roster. We have Allen. AND, as a bonus, as soon as Allen works on his speed slightly, and can catch his own passes, WRs and TEs will become obsolete for us as well. Just think about it! Then we can draft all of the DTs, DEs, LBs, and DBs that we want to. McD's and Beane's idea of heaven.
  2. I agree, I did not by any stretch mean to suggest that I prefer all of the drunkenness etc. I will say though that I'm one of those that will be priced out, and I know quite a few people that will be as well, and we simply go and have a great time tailgating with no drunkenness in sight. Some drinking, of course, but nothing that would catch anyone's attention. Also, on principle, I will never pay for a PSL in my life, I don't care what it is. IDK, perhaps that is a good thing then. It'll price me out tho, even if only on principle if business improves. I'm simply not paying $2k to bring my family of four to a game, nor am I going to pay $500 for myself to attend a game unless it's a huge one, and that'll be a lot more than that. I'm also not sitting in the corners of the upper decks to watch a game, I'd rather watch it from Bar Bill or elsewhere, and what will the secondary market be like. I only see the stuff that I see in youtube videos or in articles. We have our own TG parties and they're decent, no drunkards. But then trying to reconcile all of the drunk people wandering around inside and outside the stadium, I guess they partied somewhere. LOL Kenny's a good dude, but he seems to be ready to let that go. That seems to have gotten out of hand as well. It seems as if newer fans have to try to out-do the former fans in that way, instead of simply enjoying what's there. I think his gig end with the new stadium if not sooner. I guess the question that remains is how many of those "undesireable" attendees and those that they come with are there and how many tickets do they buy. Seemingly it all comes down to partying responsibly. We had some phenominal parties back during the playoff years in the '90s, big ones. But I don't ever recall anyone getting out-of-control drunk, and the parties were fun, even in the cold weather. It seems as if it's gotten worse. Perhaps it's age, and I also don't go nearly as often as I used to living out of town and all coupled with the distant onine streaming options. Again, perhaps it's a good thing, but at the end of the day, I'm not sure that Buffalo/WNY has the fan base for that. We're not a huge economically booming region, quite the opposite in fact. Based on the poll put up recently asking who's going to continue to be STHs, the response isn't even over a third. Some saying wait to see what the damage is, but the damage was put out there by the team, fans didn't like it. It may not be exact, but we can count on it being about that. As I've said numerous times, the prices were greater than secondary market prices in general this season. People are complaining about a 12% increase now, well they're about to double or so in the new stadium. Put another way, that's a 100%-ish increase, plus PSLs which people are planning on financing. Some people buy with the intent of reselling games that they don't go to, but good luck with that in the post-Allen era, which could conceiveably end before the new stadium even opens its doors. Allen apparently has a contract out option after '25. I don't see people getting even face value for tickets under that scenario. And what are we going to do for an encore post-Allen. LOL Not sure I see the demand for seasons under that entire scenario. Do you? Also keep in mind that if fans do not renew, then the team gets to charge PSLs again. So those PSLs are not one-time PSLs, they get to charge them every time someone dumps their seasons and another person buys them.
  3. Game plan? LOL Was there a game plan? Seriously. "Alright men, we know they're gonna score, let's at least make it look reasonable. Just don't let 'em score a TD on every play, try and keep 'em under 10 yards-per-play. Let 'em catch the ball and give 'em a good cushion, let's be good sports in the interests of character, let's help 'em feel accomplished. We'll lure them into a sense of overconfidence and then Josh will outscore them. Now go get 'em!".
  4. Someone else pointed out how we drafted Elam, a great man-to-man CB, but use him in a zone where he's not as good. That's not wise drafting either.
  5. We don't know regarding McD on the D, we simply don't. Ha hasn't come clean on that. Anything beyond that is pure speculation. As to the Carolina connection, if the players we've gotten were dumpster diving and otherwise bad, how can the front office people be lauded? Other than Beane, who is an OJT GM with questionable competencies, who else have we pilfered and why are they "top notch?" As to Holcomb, that's fine, but for anyone claiming that he's "just the 'Sr. Defensive Assistant'," let's not blame him then should things go south defensively. McD then squarely shoulders the blame. So far he's avoided blame for everything related to coaching practically speaking.
  6. Great point, I hadn't thought of that. Another indictment.
  7. The pricing structure is out there, you can Google it if you want a fairly accurate idea. We'll see what happens, but I was surprised at the price hikes.
  8. A lot of fans are going to be priced out. It'll be interesting to see what the new set of attendees looks like generally speaking. They've already told us what to expect for pricing. When the upper deck (non-corner) seats will be over $200 before PSLs and possibly even taxes, essentially the "cheap seats," people are going to be priced out. The forecast pricing in the new arrangement was greater than the aftermarket pricing this season, generally speaking. I kept an eye on that for reference purposes. Of all my concerns, that's my biggest, what it's going to do to our fan base as such. I see a lot of forthcoming consternation by fans over the new pricing structure, particularly given the public monies involved. Based on the renderings, the tailgating experience is also going to drastically change.
  9. You missed the point entirely.
  10. It was reported in one place that he was. The Carolina connection and now ridiculous dumpster diving there hasn't worked for us. And I'm all ears as to why Al Holcomb is the best candidate to backfill.
  11. Right, and another Rivera Coaching Tree JAC from Carolina was the best choice in replacement. All Carolina products are. It could also be that McD's hand was forced.
  12. No doubt, but not being content and knowing how to correct things are two entirely different things. There's absolutely nothing on record by him suggesting that he even has a clue how to correct things. I'm entirely open too a detailed explanation from him as to what to do, specifically. I have noticed that he's quit saying "Trust the Process." Beane didn't orchestrate "13 Seconds" or that defensive nonsense against Cinci. If McD's not on top of that in the playoffs as a head coach, then he shouldn't be head coach. Not to defend Beane though.
  13. Exactly! With Allen "making the playoffs" should not only be a given, it's expected. Good coaching should get us further.
  14. And yet, the taxpaying non-fans and fans pay for the business expenses of the team owner. Funny how none of that will come back to the people that paid for it. Not to open an old debate, ... Just sayin'. For whatever the price more, Pegula could do whatever he wanted. He had enough to throw around for a yacht that cost nearly $100M plus annual operating costs, but what, couldn't have put that money towards his own business expense? Asking for a friend. LOL It is what it all is, but the one thing missing from this entire shebang is very significant investment by the owner of the business whose business expense it is. As you said, the team will triple in value over so many decades, and he (or whomever the owner is at that time, Jessica?) will realize that profit, while those that paid for it won't realize any financial ROI whatsoever. If Pegula had wanted characteristics that are not there, he easily could have asked for and paid for them himself in what we understand is already the biggest publicly funded pro sports stadium in history.
  15. Thanks. Yeah, I was being facetious.
  16. Was the injury to his fingers or hands. Must be why they keep bringing the Carolina coaching staff over. After all, they've all done such a marvelous job defensively in Carolina in recent years. The Ron Rivera coaching tree. These guys see all the rotten fruit decaying at the bottom of it and decide that's the tree for them.
  17. We'll, LOL, OK. Maybe it should've been McD's decision. Then going for Al Holcomb, again, from Carolina, and their marvelous defense under him. LOL It's becoming clear that McD's DCs are little more than a face.
  18. How do you know? That's what they said, doesn't mean it's on the level. And I see that we've gone back to that championship Carolina coaching tree for his replacement. LOL SMH
  19. Honestly, I'd take my chances come playoffs.
  20. Almost? 😂 It's a horrible look. If his contract is up, McD should say it. If he's been fired, drop a pair and announce it. This mimics his onfield coaching and pressers.
  21. My original point was that Knox was not an impact player, we're not going to lose games because he's not on the field. Not so with Allen, Diggs, Dawkins, or now Milano as our only starting caliber LB. Manther seemed to think that was funny and inaccurate, which is fine. Perhaps the team would fall apart offensively if Knox weren't on the field. I guess any possibility exists. I'm simply not seeing it nor are most people. No argument with your statements there, that wasn't my original point. Manther seems to think that fewer than 30 ypg and a sporadic TD is something worthy of note. As to Knox, again, I tend to agree with you above here. Having said that, he's been here for 4 seasons now and if there's one word that accurately describes his play, it's gotta be inconsistent. He'll post a big game once ('22) or twice ('21) a season, but then falls back into the ranks of mediocrity. I believe that he could contribute much more as well, ... if he were used properly. I also believe that Singletary could be a 1,200 Yard 8 TD RB, ... if he were used properly. I also believe that Allen could be a much better pocket passer in addition to his legendary skillset otherwise, ... if he had a better OL and better offensive play calling. But now we're talking about coaching and management/drafting. We've now had 6 years of "The Process," and the reason why players like Knox aren't doing what you (and I) claim he could be doing, is precisely because of that ill-defined "[The] Process." So, here we are, discussing something that we have absolutely no control over. LOL
  22. He also didn't even average 30 ypg in four of those games. Did you look at the other 11 regular season games? He couldn't even average 30 ypg, and he didn't even post one TD every five games. He only posted one game of more than 41 yards & a TD all season. His overall performance among starting TEs was very average. He's far from being Kelce. You seem to think that's funny although not sure why. He's hardly the type of player that you lose and your team collapses.
  23. I don't see a lot of levels overhanging too many seats to keep heated either in those renderings. Completely agree with you on the experience of Bills Mafia as we know it being gone. You can tell just by looking at how manicured the lots are. Not sure whether that's a good thing or a bad thing. I haven't been to nearly as many recent games as you and others, but there were a lot of drunks, mostly if not all young (under 30-ish), that didn't do the experience any favors, both in and outside the stadium. I'm not sure that there are the number of families in WNY that will drop that kind of scratch though. Based on what someone else said, your statement about businesses, thinking national businesses, may be more accurate. At some point though, what's the point of having a team if locals are priced out in favor of national businesses and resale agencies and have to watch from home anyway. That entire scenario seems kind of weird.
  24. Yeah, I've read that about Tottenham. I'm only seeing a few similarities however. And why aren't they releasing more renderings. If they're getting close to ground-breaking then the archtectural renderings are already long done. I don't understand why they won't put more out, particularly of the concourses etc. I'm less into those modern impressions than most are, someone mentioned Lucas Oil Stadium, which IMO as I mentioned would look a lot better in Orchard Park than this thing. That brick facade just seems to fit the region better. I guess to me, being the Finger Lakes region and all, more or less over there, something more traditional would fit in better. The existing pics look as if they'd fit better downtown. I forgot about one thing that you implied, I keep forgetting that Rich is primarily underground but that the new one will be entirely above ground. That alone will make a huge impression that people should be able to see from notably farther away even with the lightly rolling terrain. Pegula needs to sign the lease extension too.
