  1. We're wasting Allen and while many can't see it for having blinders on, this team is patently mediocre w/o Allen. It's funny, our RBs are mediocre they say. Our WRs aren't good besides Diggs. Knox is overrated. Our OL isn't good they say. Same for our DL. LBs, .... LMAO, what to say there. And last year we didn't have an average CB on the field. BUT, Beane's done a fantastic job. LOL Honestly ...
  2. It's also not like he's been good. He's been pretty average, it seems to me that we could easily have drafted his equal in round 1 next season if we wanted to. As well, it's also not like the Bills are going to reach the Super Bowl because of this signing. Have you taken a peek at Oliver's playoff performances? In 8 playoff games, he's got 2 sacks, 4 TFL, and 5 QB Hits. 1 of the sacks, 1 of the TFL, and 3 of the QB Hits were on Skylar Thompson and the Fins. In 7 other playoff games he's got 1 sack, 3 TFL, and 2 QB Hits. That's hardly the mark of a 4-year $68M contract.
  3. LOL Says the one that relies exclusively on ad hominem. I don't mind having an intelligent discussion, but then have at it, you've not said one intelligent thing to me thus far, purely ad hominem. Nothin' better to do on a Saturday evening? LOL Otherwise, we'll see how this plays out. I seem to recall the entire forum talking about how he'd be the next Aaron Donald when we drafted him. If your hopes are like that then I won't have to say a word and will have been validated.
  4. Especially given the hole at LB now. The difference in the LB unit w/o Edmunds is a bigger drop than the DL would have been without Oliver. Some comments talking about how Oliver's only 25, Edmunds is only 24. This makes no sense. I'll get laughed at on this comment, but if Oliver doesn't work out and we finish 10-7 and lose the division to say the Jets, and barring Kincaid really making a difference, I don't see how Beane doesn't take a mountain of criticism following this season. We'll see, perhaps Oliver's going to play lights out ball and become that "next Aaron Donald" that all of the experts here supporting this decision said he'd be when they drafted him, I don't see why that would happen however.
  5. Then perhaps Beane should have planned a little bit better over the six years that he's been GM, that's a logical way of looking at it as well.
  6. I'm all eyes if you want to demonstrate his impact in most other games last season. I'm sure it's all in the ever important "eye test," because statistically he doesn't rank very well. Otherwise, you appear to be in the minority, which is saying something on this topic here.
  7. Detroit, yeah, LOL. And in just about every other game you couldn't tell the difference between him and any mediocre DT in the league.
  8. 4 Years, $45M guaranteed, about $11M this season. Beane's nuts. It's the sign of a desperate GM if we're going to be honest.
  9. Nearly $11M for this season, $45M guaranteed. I'm shocked. We couldn't sign Edmunds and have mystery meat at LB, but for a LB that shows up two or three times a season he gets that kinda of money.
  10. Yeah, and now he's got a lot of incentive to provide by stepping up. LOL
  11. I gotta tell ya, that's the impression I've gotten.
  12. A trade-up 1st as well. Davis is better than most realize. Not saying that it's an elite group, but at some point, despite being unpopular, if you're going to trade-up to get a TE in the 1st, drop $52M on another TE, have one of the most expensive WRs in the league as a FA, you'd better get some production out of the unit, otherwise we need to talk Beane, which few want to do. Our RBs are a downgrade from last season as we will see. At the end of the day though, it's all going to depend upon Dorsey and the chemistry between him and Josh. If that's there, unlike last season, then we have the potential to be the best offense in the league. I wouldn't put money on it, but that potential is there.
  13. Was Edwards put on IR for his concussion? I don't see anything else. That shouldn't be an impediment for this season. The bigger indicator is his 1-year $1.7M contract, a Beane specialty, which doesn't exactly scream out talent. Contrasted with McGovern's 3-year $23M deal in particular. I don't see Edwards unseating McGovern. If he does it won't bode well for Beane.
  14. The WRs are way too low. The detailed team report and independent position rankings seem a bit ridiculous. To point out a couple, I mean we're really ranked behind Chicago and Baltimore for WRs? Really?! For the most part seems reasonable tho, although Von Miller essentially is the ED, and Milano essentially is the LB. Both are impact, but it also assumes that Miller at 34 and returning from a serious injury will be 100% or close to it, and that age hasn't factored in. He's also got Allen throwing for 4-6 fewer TDs than he has in any of the last three seasons. Not sure I see that unless Dorsey really f's up. In other predictions that won't sit well with most here, he's got Cook rushing for 689, Harris for 507. For WRs he has Davis at only 765 and Shakir as the third leading WR with 322. Kincaid 494/4. He's got Torrence backing up McGovern at LG with Bates starting at RG. Not sure I see Torrence not starting as a 2nd round pick. Bates is OK but he's hardly great and certainly not worth ignoring a 2nd-round OL pick that many had being taken in the 1st-round. If those are the numbers that we put up given the circumstances I don't see Dorsey surviving the turk. After smoking a bowl, or what?
  15. At least they're out of the Breaking Wind phase. I'd like to know when more detailed "renderings" are coming. Every other NFL stadium that's gone up has posted far greater details at this, and past, stages of progress.
  16. After it's completed, invite a Fins fan over to walk all around the deck first checking for loose boards. Kind of like a food tester. Indeed. And where I live, finding quality workmanship is even more difficult, so while I do enjoy doing those things myself, it's also nice to know that the job got properly done.
  17. Or hire him and make him wear an Allen jersey while he does the work.
  18. Exactly! Now, pick any QBs from those eras and put 'em on this team in place of Allen. How would we be? Everything's some shrewd move, until it isn't.
  19. Or Montez Sweat or several others from much bigger SEC or other programs and far better battle tested.
  20. Agreed, but also not sure why Beane gets a pass while Allen carries his water. As I always say, imagine if some of our former teams had had Allen. Let's not forget, it's all about "The Process." Amen!
  21. LOL, indeed. I'm no investigator but it would seem to me that when a girl wipes here face after someone kisses her it's not a positive thing.
  22. Who knows, this will be his 4th season with us. He's another Carolina dragover that coached under McD. I guess if you think he's overachieved with the talent we have on the DL, then he's good. If he's underachieved, then I guess he's not good. If the playoffs is any indication ... The play of the D in general was notably worse with Miller out. Our averages plummeted and against far worse offensive talent too. Jones twice, Fields, White, and Thompson which makes the downturn worse than it actually was.
  23. Josh is like a grand-slam. Not sure how you would define "knocked out of the park," but White I'd put there. Gilmore maybe? And ultimately of the GM if we want to be fully honest.
  24. He was more of a late-2nd or 3rd-round pick.
